I think you should always do a 3-2-1 build and then go from there if you want a god or no charm build, then what to shoot for with your charms and augments from armor.
if i can make a build without a talisman i usually do that as base. the 3-2-1 builds are usually for those sets that i cant make without a charm

Normal 3 in my opinion is the most comfortable build to mindlessly run multiplayer afflicted via quest board, where you don't necessarily know what you are even going up against until loading screen. It's consistent and thanks to Kushala deco, no need to hop into camp at the beginning of every quest.

The problem with normal ammo is actually really simple. It doesn't have a cool sound effect like the other ammos. It's flat. Which is strange because in the older titles it didn't sound like that.
I just recently tried out using normal ammo and was wondering why it felt so unsatisying. It's definitely the sound. It sounds like I'm hitting the monster with a snowball.

Also, a question about elemental piercing LBGs: I know you made a video about them but you haven't mentioned any useful pierce LBGs for "dragon element". Monsters like Raths and Shagaru take too long to defeat by trying to abuse their secondary elemental weaknesses. Do we have hope for a piercing dragon LBG if there's one right now? Or should we wait for further title updates while non-elemental guns are the way to go?
I didnt make one for dragon element because they are severely limited in ammo. :(

I feel like the monster with secondary elemental weakness takes too long to exploit elemental, the dps is still ok. But I feel like alot of time is wasted flying back to camp to restock. So what I've been running is Pierce3/elemental build. With the armor augumentaiom. Its a lot easier to slot in lvl5 element attacks. That way. You can stay on the monster at all times without having to fly back to camp to restock. Have your pierce3 n pierce element ammo next to each other, swap to elemental when you get
nice hit zones, and swap out to pierce3 as your main ammo.
For raths I just use spread tbh

Why can't you use long barrel on this? Doesn't TuneUp 1 still work with that?
Tune up 1 without a barrel gives +1 reload to put norm 3 into fastest reload. You can use long barrel but you'll ultimately lose dps. You will have better crit range though which is nice.
Lol I will have to use this when I don't feel like being up front with spread or too far back with pierce (I don't have good range yet)

Dude you should be making builds without the known hacked talisman to stop the comments section from asking if it's a mod or not. Make talisman free builds with a assumption of a 3-2-1 slots which you can specify the slot allocations if necessary.

kind of a useless build, one's better off slotting in defense boost 7 to not get oneshot by afflicted monsters.
Evade extender 2 offers more damage mitigation imo.
What you need is not defense boost 7 for lbg bro, trust me, what you need is change to melee and bring defense boost 7, then you will truly not get one shot
Unless you have 200 def nothing is gonna one shot you unless your elementals are negative on the double digits even at lvl 100 afflicteds other than big heavy attacks which are easy as hell to avoid as even at 800 def you will get one shotted anyway since gunners take extra damage, what's more useless is prioritising def for them when as LBG you can be untouched through all of a hunt just by fanning, using counter shot or simply by evading.
Eat for bird caller level 4 and grab a few birds and you won't get one shot by anything.

What is the point of the build?:
You put the Mech Silkbind Shot on you R-Key and have gatlin fun from very good/save distance (20 shots in 3 sec), 1,5 sec reload and starting again your gatlin burst.
The silkbind recovery of 2 silkinds is enough to do it in an close to endless loop (0,3-0,5 sec delay).
At the training dummy i got 15k damage out of one minute (90% crit chance on weakspots, 77-80 Crit damage per shell, 1.300-1.500 damage per 20-shot-magazine, with around 5-5,5 sec per loop).
In afflicted battles you will still get around 55-60 damage per crit hit on weakspots, so DPS dont drop that much.
I also play this build in A5 Afflicted level 85-95 missions for fun (playing mainly hunting horn), when you wait a bit until someone got the aggro, you can gatlin the entire game, break parts /shoot down afflicted spots very fast and play from such a save distance, that you mainly never stop firing.
I know the augments and charm are not beginnerfriendly but with using the good luck slots for main skills and not needing the most lvl 1 slots, its pretty acessable for all from my point of view.
Maybe its worth to make an episode out of it like this single-normal shot video which is not meta (even when it works well in A5 missions) but focus on fun.
Maybe you will find ways to optimize the build, even when i noticed that the most bowgun damage skills have no effect on the mech silkbind shot.
