Please don't show the entire top ten all at once in the graphics- it ruins the fun of guessing what's coming up next on the list. You shouldn't have to be told this; it's Top Ten 101.
I have to disagree with some of these... You can't dis the glorious mullet, dude. There is no hairstyle that has as much flare, badassery and sex-appeal as the mullet.
To be fair to the super mullet, one of the first things the real Superman did when he came back and said "I'm ALIVE!" was to do an interview near the wreckage in Metropolis. In the middle of it he seems to hear something and says "Oh gosh this is amazing, there is not a second to waste...he's still alive." He then digs up a building and finds Clark Kent in the basement of it, takes him an ambulance, where he is examined, and declared somewhat malnourished and slightly dehydrated but all things considered healthy and reunited is with Lois. Lois and Clark thank him, Clark shakes his hand for a photo op, and he flies them to their apartment. Once there it is revealed Clark is Supergirl, who had used her shape changing powers to impersonate him. So in that time both having mullets or not, glasses or not, hundreds of people saw them together so any lingering doubts they had were laid to rest.
I would have to say Storm's mohawk.....it only works because it's storm, it's really hard to make a lady that beautiful not work, it does her an absurd disservice if you ask me though
depends on who draws it really but the first time I looked at it seemed the most ridiculous thing I'd ever seen. you take this very mystical, almost goddess/angel like character and turn her into a punk rock chick? da faq?
Fun video. I like these top tens. And I also would like more "Here's the Thing". But two suggestions: Maybe get some motion graphics and/or cutaway visuals, and maybe a better mic to record "Here's the Thing", I think it could be a much bigger show with just a little more production. I'm thinking specifically of doing something a little more like "The Big Picture" on the escapist magazine site, if you haven't seen it, you all should be watching it! And I agree with the other posters, please don't post the entire top ten... it's a neat graphic trick to have the images pop out of the graphic as you talk about them, but it does spoil the surprise. But what do I know? I loved Identity Crisis! :D keep up the good work. :)
I love lex's luxurious flame head mullet. it was just so perfect for his personality as originally wanting to kill Superman because he blamed him for making him bald. and the picture of him sitting in his computer chair twirling his beard with super girl sitting at his feet is just legendary
Gamewiz ! I don't remember what she looked like. I was glad they used her though. I also think, in comics, she looked best when John Byrne drew her in his "Man of Steel" miniseries. Always liked her and the Mime (another obscure Batman villain).
I don't even remember what she looked like in that. I will admit that her original design is very 80's but she looked really good when Byrne (who I think created her, or helped create her) drew her. All and all I would accept just about any design as long as they use her more because I love her character so much. I would also love to see a revised and updated Mime and Ratcatcher. I love them too. :)
Norman Osborn's hairstyle is called the "Chester". It was somewhat popular in the 1920's and you can occasionally see it worn by actors in movies from that period.
Sue Storm's haircut in the background of those FF screencaps is looking really rough too. What is that? A Superman-S curl with a buzz cut and a mullet? What's happening there and how did that not make #1?
Norman Osborn's hair is supposed to be wavy or curly hair slicked back with brylcreem, which was a pretty popular look in Ditko's day. Now it just confuses us.
Seriously, if I were to compose this list it would consist entirely of the "art" of Mr. Weird Body Shapes, he's making up muscle groups as he goes, Rob Liefield. I never understood how he got the job.
They totally should have had wolverine wake up with that crazy hair when he first went into the past in Days of Future Past. Then make "get a haircut" a VERY high priority.
As a man with very curly hair I can tell you that Norman Osborn's hair is what happens when a man with curls ignores nature and slicks his hair back with grease and a comb. If you look back a men of that era EVERYBODY slicked their hair back and that included guys with curls. It looks terribike.
Supermans hair I liked, at the time I thought he came back looking cool, especially in his black Kryptonian body suit. But what was even more ridiculous wasn't that at the time Superman and Clark both had long hair, it was that after Superman being dead for a year, and Clark assumed killed as collateral damage during the Doomsday fight, he appeared again ALIVE at the same time as Superman, and they explain it as he was buried under a building the whole time.
I love wolverine and beasts hair from the 90s. And people need to stop freaking out about men with long hair and mutton chops, it can look really good on some guys
I think in upcoming Teen Titans Earth One graphic novel, Jericho has totally different haircut and different costume from New Teen Titans Marv Wolfman era
This might sound a bit weird, but I'm not fond of bald super heroes. It's just so weird seeing a character wearing a really outlandish and colorful outfit, but not have any hair to go with it. It's all right if they wear a mask that covers the top of their head in addition to their face, or if they don't really wear an outfit that people would consider to be a super hero costume (such as normal body armor or the type of suit you wear to an office job), but it's just weird seeing something like what Super Man or Captain Marvel (whichever Captain Marvel you think of when you think of Captain Marvel) would wear, and not having any hair.
I'd have to nominate American Maid from The Tick comics and animated show (not to be confused with Captain Liberty from the live-action show). If for no other reason that to figure out what the hell that thing is on her head. Is it a visor? An ugly, oversized barrette? It boggles the mind.
I'd have included most of the volume one xforce characters, especially the villains. Gideon, feral, shatterstar, rictor, seriously awful! While I liked the 80's redesign, in hindsight Storm had a style which dated fast! Finally i'm surprised the 90's Polaris didn't make the list.
Oh yeah, pretty sure Jericho predated Justin Timberland so I doubt he was the inspiration. Jericho would've been originally created in either the 60's or the early 80's at the latest (I'm too lazy to check on which). :)
how is it that only dc and marvel characters are on this list? no valiant or image or even malibu comics. and they had all kinds of super hero comics that had some messed up hair styles lmfao
I always assumed Osborn's hair was meant to represent small, tight curls of dark ginger. That's just me but it always made sense.
To be fair to the super mullet, one of the first things the real Superman did when he came back and said "I'm ALIVE!" was to do an interview near the wreckage in Metropolis. In the middle of it he seems to hear something and says "Oh gosh this is amazing, there is not a second to waste...he's still alive." superman looks badass with long hair but he should have had a super beard
I been totally on board for bearded superman for years. Why won't DC do it?
I actually think Lex looks pretty awesome.
Storm's hideous Mohawk should've been on the list.
Superman and Lex Luther looked way cool with the long hair.
I would have to say Storm's mohawk.....it only works because it's storm, it's really hard to make a lady that beautiful not work, it does her an absurd disservice if you ask me though
***** now ay Storm rocked the Mohawk!
Storm's mohawk was bad ass. I don't know what you're on about.
depends on who draws it really but the first time I looked at it seemed the most ridiculous thing I'd ever seen. you take this very mystical, almost goddess/angel like character and turn her into a punk rock chick? da faq?
I miss "Here's the Thing"
Yup. Here's the things is great. But Top 10 also very good imo :)
Please stop spoiling your top 10s
Bad hair or not I've always like Magpie as a character. As for Guy I always figured it was supposed to be some kind of military cut.
In the 90's DC must have had some weird policy where any one who comes back from the dead needs a mullet. Jus imagine if batman got one.
Oh the 90's... Why do certain editorial types still think that was a good decade?
Fun video. I like these top tens. And I also would like more "Here's the Thing". But what do I know? I loved Identity Crisis! :D
keep up the good work. :)
90's man...... 90's
He shouldve given the #1 pick to starfires olr haircut
" it was a rough decade " everytime cracks me up xD
I love lex's luxurious flame head mullet. it was just so perfect for his personality as originally wanting to kill Superman because he blamed him for making him bald. and the picture of him sitting in his computer chair twirling his beard with super girl sitting at his feet is just legendary
Both superman and lex didnt have mullets, Longshot was the mullet here.
I own that Batman Issue with Magpie on it that you showed :D
Every aspect of Jericho is the worst thing ever in superhero comics. I'm glad you took the time to bag on his costume too.
Nah Osborne got waves son lol his shit ill lol
Magpie looks better in Beware the Batman.
She is Lady Gaga Catwoman
Gamewiz ! I don't remember what she looked like. I was glad they used her though. I also think, in comics, she looked best when John Byrne drew her in his "Man of Steel" miniseries. Always liked her and the Mime (another obscure Batman villain).
Hmm...sounds interesting, tell me about the Mime...
Nightwing used to have a pony tail too, super cool!
Norman Osborn's hairstyle is called the "Chester". It was somewhat popular in the 1920's and you can occasionally see it worn by actors in movies from that period.
The storyline reason for Guy Gardner's chili-bowl haircut was because his hero was General Glory, and GG's sidekick had that haircut.
That Hitman bit had me laughing quite a bit when I read it the first time. Good inclusion.
Sue Storm's haircut in the background of those FF screencaps is looking really rough too. What is that? A Superman-S curl with a buzz cut and a mullet? What's happening there and how did that not make #1?
The 90s was the best decade for everything except comics.
I never understood how he got the job.
nelsonrc There are two things Leifeld does well, trace and draw pouches, lots and lots of pouches.
***** ROFLMAO!!!
Some of Rogues original haircuts needed a spot >.>
They totally should have had wolverine wake up with that crazy hair when he first went into the past in Days of Future Past. Then make "get a haircut" a VERY high priority.
hilarious. thank you for making this
0:24 are you kidding? dbz haircuts are awesome.
3:40 #6 is the current haircut everyone guy in the uk has. I always thought to looked crap.
As a man with very curly hair I can tell you that Norman Osborn's hair is what happens when a man with curls ignores nature and slicks his hair back with grease and a comb. If you look back a men of that era EVERYBODY slicked their hair back and that included guys with curls. It looks terribike.

Longshot has a totally different but even weirder now.
It's long at the from but shaved at the sides.
Got a new one for this list: just check out every haircut of Carol Danvers during the last 2 years
OH SO THAT VERSION OF LEX IS WHAT LIONEL'S IMAGE IN SMALLVILLE IS BASED ON
I love wolverine and beasts hair from the 90s. And people need to stop freaking out about men with long hair and mutton chops, it can look really good on some guys
whats the opening music from??
I once rocked the number one worst haircut, but brown...and everyone wished to pet me, like I was an animal....it was a weird time.
I think in upcoming Teen Titans Earth One graphic novel, Jericho has totally different haircut and different costume from New Teen Titans Marv Wolfman era
good road warriors reference
So is "Here's The Thing" gone now?
Also yes FFS please stop spoiling the fucking countdown sir.
This might sound a bit weird, but I'm not fond of bald super heroes. It's just so weird seeing a character wearing a really outlandish and colorful outfit, but not have any hair to go with it. >forgetting Saitama
Doesn't Flint Marko have the same hair style as Norman?
Drake has the same hair as Norman Osborne if he grows his hair
I came here just to see Guy Gardner. And sure enough, there he is.
New 52's Omac's gigantic Mohawk .
What about Tony Stark's mullet during Armor Wars? :O
I love the Superman mullet I think it’s super cool, because it’s from the time period 😁
I WANT A SUPER MULLET
Worst haircut was when Nightwing did that stupid thing to his hair in the 90's!!! That was freaking the WOORRRRRSSSSTTTT!!!!!
What do you think of Jericho in the animated Teen Titans?
Superman's mullet was bad, but nothing beats Tony Stark's Iron Mullet.
Norman Osbourne has waves
no dr octopus
I like the Super mullet. It's different. They should've used it in MoS to better show how the current Superman isn't the classic boy scout.
I don't really understand how Luthor's hair looks bad at all. It looked great in every panel shown in the video.
90's nightwing...The ponytail
Eww dont remeber that
What about 80s Nightwing? With those horrible bangs?!?
i've always thought that Wolverine's hair style is cool and Alexander Luthor deserves the first place with his red afro
What no Gladiator? What about the hair of the Shiar queen Lilandra?
Capital Marvel (Carol Danvers) now.
what about Nova's ponytail that goes threw his helmet.
I love how this guy is laughing as he cited the characters... :)
Storm's Mohawk! I mean Why bring it back?
That manga thing he said in the beginning so tru😂😂😂😂😂😂
I guess no one's seen Rebel from Catalyst: Agents Of Change.
Can't believe this is a list...
I didn't even know that was lex
Honestly, I'm fine with the Guy Gardner bowlcut. Seems in-character to me.
I think Normans has some sort of waves
I personally think Superman with long hair looks great
I liked the super mullet :(
I kinda liked #5. Good thing I'm not a hairstylist, I guess.
I'd have to nominate American Maid from The Tick comics and animated show (not to be confused with Captain Liberty from the live-action show). If for no other reason that to figure out what the hell that thing is on her head. Is it a visor? An ugly, oversized barrette? It boggles the mind.
+Angela Singer It's a French maid outfit, but Americanized.
Top 10 Spider-Man villains.
how about The Monitor?
don't be smirch Longshot's mullet. it's a thing of interdimensional beauty
but I like Superman with long hair!
I'd have included most of the volume one xforce characters, especially the villains. Gideon, feral, shatterstar, rictor, seriously awful! While I liked the 80's redesign, in hindsight Storm had a style which dated fast! Finally i'm surprised the 90's Polaris didn't make the list.
what about legion?
@0:15 Supe's hair mwoah... but the lip gloss... really.
I think I spelled his last name wrong lol
The Owl, Daredevil's villain.
What a dumb topic. Dumb topic + actual knowledge = fantastic, unexpected arguments that are hugely entertaining.
Oh yeah, pretty sure Jericho predated Justin Timberland so I doubt he was the inspiration. Jericho would've been originally created in either the 60's or the early 80's at the latest (I'm too lazy to check on which). :)
'mullet' doesn't just mean long hair. It's when it's only long at the back. Other than Longshot none of these is a mullet.
how is it that only dc and marvel characters are on this list? no valiant or image or even malibu comics. and they had all kinds of super hero comics that had some messed up hair styles lmfao
Anthony Patton because nobody knows what malibu comics is and nobody cares.
What's with the mullet hate? You just jealous of manly mullet men with lovely long hair!
Shouldn't super man need kryptonite to cut his hair?
Can we get a Superman with a Man Bun k thx
I know this was a year ago, but Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) has a HORRIBLE haircut right now. It does not suit her at all.
Yep Carol's new look is crap.
Young Justice Guy Gardner doesnt have the classic haircut..
Yea neither does the Green Lantern Animated series version.
No New Teen Titans Starfire?
