Powercreep exists but also this game isn't that hard to full clear, so even if it's there it doesn't really matter too much. The only thing you gotta worry about is hyv artificially nerfing your character by either 1) nullifying parts of their kit, for example "nerfing" aventurine by making a boss that completely bypasses shields (please don't do this, ever) 2) making many rounds of endgame modes completely counter the character, for example 6 months with no ice weak enemies making jingliu unusable. (although thanks to weakness implant this isn't an issue anymore, somewhat) 3) (and this one is much more niche, but it still somewhat counts imo) long stretches of patches without any reruns, not allowing players to vertically invest (pulling eidolons/LC) to keep a character relevant for longer. I'm sure that with the right teams pretty much every 5* DPS can clear any MoC with their weakness, it's just that some do it in 0 cycles easily and others take 5 or more.

I would love if they made a dedicated support that specifically utilizes the way Jingliu chips off her party's HP to bring Jingliu back into the upper tiers, but I have no idea what that character could actually do with that mechanic to help her. She's still fun to use but definitely needs something to stay relevant, like Blade has this synergy with her but you're not going to use that team outside of just having a silly funtime.
Top 10 fall offs of all time has gotta be the DOT's. They've gotten 0 count it, ZERO love since black swan. Jiaoqiu was whatever, not really a dot unit he just has a dot as his debuff. What happened to my favorite playstyle man 😔 Dope video as well!

@niedrzyjsietak That's what the fall off means, they're just not getting any type of support at all. DOT is definitely the most left behind archetype in the game even past hypercarry stuff. My Kafka, BS and Jiaoqiu are all E2S1 and they're strong as fuck and clear easy and comfy as hell but that's just from investment ya feel not from actively getting support for the playstyle.

Basically this whole list. A lot of these characters "fell off" because Hoyo is doing an awful job at supporting them. It's literally just Break and Follow up meta now.
This list is pretty accurate. I do still use Luocha and Fu Xuan to clear Echo of war on auto. I sometimes want to try something more interesting but if I can’t be bothered and the end of the week is near they are just solid for getting it done without needing to think about it. Just as long as clear time is not an issue. Set them going then go make a cup of tea and they’ll still be going strong when you get back. Dot is my favourite team but it definitely fell off, I’ve been waiting for a strong blast bleed character for ages.
Good list (so far) I agree with most of it, and also there is a good chance that Hypercarry characters could come back with Sunday dropping, plus Sparkle could go up too if they drop some hypercarry DPS in 3.0+ But that’s all just speculation

I get the silver placement because yea she really only fits in like 1 team. That team being one with ratio (if you don’t have e1s1 topaz and aventurine). I usually run her with Him as well as sparkle and a sustain and i’m able to clear most of the end game but she really only gets used in that set up and she only really works well just because i have her at e1 on accident lmao.
19:50 spoilers for Wednesday He does action forward a character 100% like Bronya and their summons if they have any. Wednesday can finally unlock LL's potential by bringing him and Jing Yuan forward every time he skills. We now have 2 characters that can bring up someone 100%. Hyper carry getting some love again with Wednesday, my totally favorite day of the week.
If we got a Robin level DoT harmony unit or a gallagher/lingsha level sustain DoT will come back to T0 easily, considering that we have to use two (altough really really good) generalist units on the premium DoT comp currently. Leak talks ahead, which is also very very sketchy/speculations, nothing concrete nor confirmed. and very sketchy dreams of a Quantum DoT Healer might make me the happiest man alive if they were to come true, plus the apparently 3 new 5* Nihility units in the early patches of 3.X give me some hope that we might get something good, hopefully not another DPS cause my E1S1 BlackSwan is already doing SO GOOD that it'd be hard to beat her in DPS without powercreeping her to all hell and back.
According to leaks Sunday May seriously powercreep sparkle, he's basically an equal/slightly better sparkle variant but does some extra stuff for summons
Wish i wouldn't have fell for her hype trailer, still my favorite out of all of them. I didn't really even want her before that and I have hardly used her, especially because since then I have gotten e2 bronya making her just better in most situations.

They failed my fav husbandos (Argenti, Luocha, jy & blade) 😢. I do have luocha LC lol, but it was early temptation cuz he was my absolute favorite man in that game and the fact how ez is to get LC ,almost garantee was crazy (I am coming from GI so u can say why I was so crazy I can get any character with their lc, or so I though for a while, like idk what's gacha but anyway XD) And for Argenti he is still my absolute pf king or when I need physical in MoC, I am happy to have him even though he isn't the best. Usually I bring him when my dot can't do the job on the other side and if physical ofc, like aven boss. The other side I always have the stable premium FuA. So once we get more love for DoT or ER support I will have 3 stable teams to choose from. Or I will just leave everything and go all in for summons meta because I am absolutely getting Sunday, he is my new fav man and he is summons(I might finally get Jing Yuan for him ^^) ❤❤❤

This man has systematically been one of the few and only characters to get stronger with each patch and not in vain. Especially as a 1.0 character. Relics, planars, and team options he's got it all. And with the advent of Wednesday, ifykyk, the main complaint of his kit is being made a nonissue. The CC argument alone is weak too. Everyone hates CC, especially follow up characters (not just JY), but it's not so fundamentally bad that you have pull a five star to "fix" it. I mean Lynx fixed it in my experience. Besides that why does it matter if you need to pull characters to make other characters more seamless? This is a team building game. It's bound to happen with anyone. Lastly Topaz and Himeko considering their kits only got to where they are because of OTHER characters (Topaz is not a great main dps in any stretch of the imagination she needed someone else to show that and show me a Himeko showcase without weakness Break efficiency). It feels like you're still living in 1.0 with your criticism. Still love ya stuff though, keep putting in that work.

Not to mention JY xan get even better because there isn't a support unit so far that makes use of debuffs in comfortable rotation for him. Losing my 50/50 on blade first banner is the reason I first took a break from the game pretty funny to think about
how to fix this, move blandfly to 0.5 for moc, move fu xuan to t1, put ratio t1, put blade and seele in argenti tier and list is fixed

Jiaoqiu supports DoT teams: Swan, Kafka, JQ & a sustain is very strong.
It sucks because i pulled Blade and Goatmei and their LCs on the same day within 30 pulls.. Now Blade collects dust
