    JG is clearly a very intelligent guy, one of the most well-spoken athletes I have taken the time to listen to. Very difficult to speak so articulately about his brand of struggle, I hope this guy can turn it around as he could be not only a tremendous football player but an extraordinarily influential figure.

    I’ve made peace with the idea that Josh Gordon is among the most talented athletes at the wide receiver position the NFL has ever seen, and that any lasting success he may have will not be in Cleveland. Deep down in this man’s soul is a gentle, good man. What life dealt him early on clearly has had a toxic effect on his ability to deal with life and its difficulties. The man we see in this interview clearly is the ‘Jekyl’ to the ‘Hyde’ that emerges when Josh is confronted with situations that create anxiety and cause him to retreat into old destructive patterns. I pray the trade to New England will initiate a lasting change in his response to those stressors and that he can thrive, as a player and a person. Patriot Nation, you’re in for a ride. But this guy has no limit to what he can do. I hope he does it. Good luck JG.

    He's a well spoken guy and obviously intelligent. I'm sure he has been through a lot, but that only makes me wonder how much the NFL's policy on Cannabis has (and can) compound a person/player's preexisting problems. Being an epileptic and knowing the true benefits of Cannabis, I think it's really sad to see how he's been treated by some people. Especially given what we now are learning about prescription pain pills being handed out like candy to players. It was great to see the City of Cleveland stick with him through these tribulations. Hopefully we can be as strong, if not stronger for him here in New England.

    I believe he fights with himself and his identity, he's a smart guy and he knows he's talented. His biggest struggle is the lack of confident he has in himself, outside from football! He feels like there's a bigger purpose out there for him.. People like him are perfectionists, and with that mindset can overwhelm anyone especially one who knows themselves pretty well. He is carrying this weight of this person he feels like he should be for everyone around him. That's hard to carry, I would know this because I am going through the same thing! I think that's why he abuses drugs, because of the stress he feels like he should carry. My answer to this, is to keep going forward and erase the doubts, let go of the burdens and understand you cant carry everything. If you are chasing your purpose, then your purpose will find you! All things will come together in the end as long as you keep going forward broski! #prayers

    • @MrHeat1up
      @MrHeat1up 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ton of support. Wow is that what you think. Allowing someone to do wrong is not positive support. They knew he smoked out of college. That's not support. To prove the great support system they draft another weed smoker. Who was stopped by police for weedbefore camp. What kind of environment is that for someone on their last strike. Please stop with the support crap. They held onto him because of his talents. He was still working under his rookie contract. 700,000 for taking a chance is pennies to these organizations.

    • @justmcchill
      @justmcchill 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Heat1up “they knew he smoke out of college, that’s not support” wtf is that statement supposed to mean? do you know what the supplemental draft is for? and wtf does callaway have to do with this? he seems like he can control his weed habits, ya know cause it’s not even fucking addictive? if your gonna comment at least make some sense with your points

    • @MrHeat1up
      @MrHeat1up 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@justmcchill I was making a point about the Cleveland organization. If you don't think smoking weed is addictive then this conversation is over. The whole environment is bad. If the team knew he smoked in college then that's not support.

    I want for him so badly to be okay.To me it just doesn’t seem fair or wright for him to go to New England and do well. I think as a life long Browns fan that we have done just about everything that we could to get him through this.It is just like he is turning his back on the Browns and all of the fans if he goes to New England and has success.It even sounds more unfair listen to this interview and how he feels about Cleveland and how the people supported him.For some reason he was wanting out.Maybe he just has to many bad memories here and he just wants to start over some where else. I do want him to stay healthy and well.Good luck to you Mr Gordon.

    He's gotta a lot baggage to sort through. Football is just a huge distraction that keeps him from taking that baggage head on! I still got his back no matter what. I see a man who is so broken up 💔inside I'm sure he has no idea where to actually start. At this point I would tell him to get the hell back up & dust your self off. The war starts today or yesterday Josh! Just know that you are not Alone in this war. There's tons of support all around you bro including The 12th Man who is everywhere and that's what they do, SUPPORT not only the player, but the human being. Josh there are always those that want to see you fail. Use that ignorance to fuel ⛽ your heart and soul to help clear your mind. Relax, breathe and start putting your plans on paper. Goals you want to achieve and in what timeline, 5,10 years? 29 bro! Whole life ahead of you. Who knows what your higher power has planned for the rest of your life. I think you will be helping others because you will completly understand one day what it is to be Humbled. I cheer you on my friend, but most of all bro I love you and care about what happens to you. I send you strength 💪 Josh and continue to believe in you 🤛 From my family to yours Josh have a Wonderful Christmas 🎄 and I look forward to seeing the light shine in your heart. Take care Josh.

    Damn very well spoken and reflective young guy.
    And the patience of understanding to go along with it!
    People actually say some harsh stuff about what a low life JG is for his situation at the moment.
    In truth that situation is a long battle so difficult no assembley of words exist to translatable the special misery of batteling the self, unto death.
    I care not but must advise, if you are a hater your perception of how things are, is off balance and a danger to your best interest.
    Life's irony is great. Otherwise this wide spread ignorance of an illness, would be bliss! Something to strive for with great effort.
    But life is life and cares not that you are ignorant, one day it will fuck around and flip that bad news switch into a discovery of what is true...
    You are weak to an extent bordering on cowardice if you still find it acceptable to place yourself judge of any other being outside your wretched self.
    Oh fuck, YES that switch you somehow forgot again, discomfort that rocks even the bold among us.
    Enjoy the respite that is left for you if you find yourself perceiving through superior being or knowledge.
    If I weren't human id laugh at the upcoming bewilderment many seem dead set on binding their being to the high power energy of judgement.
    Its way better to take the time to relate if you are interested enough to form an opinion.
    Reflect "how would it be" Instead of "what would I do"
    And if you think about it you will agree that those thoughts you value as your opinion are mostly your lowest level and most meaningless. After all how could even you as yourself even really care about a thought at best qualified as a guess because its formed out of self acknowledged inability to understand and or relate to your being and life? Hence the space and need to form an opinion. As a society we are a bit late to remember opinions are only to be spoken if it is asked of you, not stated at random because you had a feeling you seem important. Opinion should only be used to gadge interest and basis for further exploration to more solid understanding until you can provide any new value.
    Then form a conclusion and speak away, please!
    Don't shit in my mind with first level low vibe opinion hanky panky tho. Then I have to opinionate and perpetuate self hate.
    Otherwise good day 🌅

    At the beginning of the interview he looks frightened and insincere.
    We wish him the best but ultimately he has to be honest and not
    make excuses. Such rationalization will only hide the problem
    not bury it.
    He broke his last chance in Cleveland . We should all hope or pray
    that this will be his wake up call to face his demons,
    escape them and focus on his football life ahead or
    whatever life he has left that lies ahead of him beyond the
    addiction that might still be haunting him. He needs to get right with
    his family obligations as well. So this will not be an easy task for him.
    This is something that haunts many of us each and every day.

      NolanEP84 how many do you want? For 2 years he denied his kids existed. Faced a court order to get a dna test. Then he never pays child support and is in trouble for that now. Now he is all about them? 2. He spent years saying they were all false positive tests and later; it was ‘only pot’ when he much later admitted was a lie. Oh, and the biggest one: 3. he already screwed up again and got traded!!! If he was a good guy, he’d be at practice and being a good teammate in cleveland.
