Having not seen his father since 05 im sure didn't help. But i hope he can really turn it around and get right. You can say all the right things but you gotta walk the walk. Dont be like Jon Jones... It's crazy this made me really think and a lot of his issues weren't drugs, it was him handling the stresses of life. Grant it he didn't have a great start with drugs but if you listen closely you'll see. "my college coaches taught me how to drink detox" "everyone thought i was a junkie, so i said eff it". It seems that was obviously his coping mechanism but no one helped this man, not even himself. To change you really gotta tear down the whole thing so you can rebuild. Everyone was giving him a quick fix, even himself. He looks great now and ability wise he's been a top tier talent. Hopefully he gets reinstated

    • @omusialo
      @omusialo 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really have always felt for Josh Gordon. He's a good kid with major problems. His dad left, he turned to drugs, which as you say: people around him only enabled him because of his skills. Growing up - this is all he came to know. You can say that all drug addicts do drugs because of the stresses of life. No one wants to be a junkie but they use drugs to cope with life. I've had my past and wish only the best for this kid. He's 100% real and I hope he can put a couple a big seasons together and win a super bowl before his career is over. Good luck, Josh.

    Josh is a perfect exmaple of why we shouldn't give up on drug users. The positive impact he has on his organization far outweighs the negatives of keeping him out. Drug addiction isn't like other diseases. It's so easy to fall back into it, mostly because the demonization of drug users forces them back to their abuse. We shouldn't demonize drug abusers. We need to help them. They're good people who are struggeling with a disease. Never underestimate the power of a person who is fighting for somthing.

    Addiction is forever. Addiction management is key.
    It's a day by day process and it has to be dealt with each and every day, for life.
    He can overcome it, with help and determination.
    Alot of people with addiction problems replace drug addiction with another or other addictions. Some good, some not so good like food.
    I hope Josh can become successful with self mastery. I believe he wants that.
