Thank God Hyundai made it simple (I am sure some vehicles are not so). And thank you for the simple straight-forward vid. But "once a year?" A city friend just changed his for what looked to be the first time (he bought the car with 120K on it) since it was new in 2008! Still breathing, but what a relief.
There are definitely ones that aren't simple...Mercedes comes to mind there (I love their cars and have/have had many, but they're not the easiest to service). Thanks for watching!
The airflow in my 2015 goes from top to bottom so you should place the filter in with the arrow pointing down. If you are unsure you can remove the filter and stick a FLATTENED hand inside with the ac/heat running to feel out the flow.
You seriously make me feel like I can do this myself so I'm going to try! I have a 2012 accent and I'm trying to social distance but I feel like I need to change mine. Thank you for sharing!
Short and simple! The hardest part was cleaning all the junk out of my glove compartment to get to the sides. The old cabin filter I pulled out looked like a horror movie! Now I can breathe better in my car and have less asthma triggers.
Does it matter which way the new filter is facing when you install it? My old Hyundai filter has an arrow, but the new one I bought from the auto shop doesn't.
Sir, I would like to ask for your assistance. The blower of my a/c (2015 hyundai accent) is working but it's not blowing cold air. I took it to a local shop and he said we need to replace the selonoid (which cost too much for me). I asked some people online and they advised to check the thermostat. The problem here is that i don't know how to do that (i only know how to drive and only learn a thing or two about car maintenance from youtube just like your video). Could you help me out on this. Please..... thanks.
I wish I could, but I don't own or work on any Hyundai vehicles - I did this video on a friend's car just to help them out. I can't speak to how the cars are built and how to fix the particular issue you're experiencing. Sorry about that!
If you haven't already fixed the problem, go to Pep Boys and get a can of A/C Artic Freeze and ask one of the workers to assist you. This may save you a lot of money. Hopefully it will work, it did on my 2005 Hyundai Accent. Good Luck!
@@91MR2Racer Sounds about right, you're paying for a half hour block of time generally...lots of shops around my area are at or close to $200/hr nowadays too, which drives price up even more. Thanks for watching!

Yes but is it really mater if it's up or down since both sides of the filter are the same?!🤔
Not all filters are alike, some have flow direction

It's definitely do-able for most people, so I'm sure you can do it! Best of luck, and thanks for watching!

Didn’t discuss that the filter needs to be installed a certain direction with the airflow...

It does, but without an arrow there's a 50/50 shot of getting it right. Thanks for watching!

Hi there, after how many miles is recommended to change air filter?
I do every year or 10k miles, that's my personal recommendation. Thanks for watching!
ARROW POINTED DOWN OR UP?
WHAT'S THE ANSWER
Do you know if the 2018 cabin air filter is in the same place?
It should be located similarly, but may not be the same exact procedure. Thanks for watching!
Ok, so can you clean the fan for the cabin filter?
I'm sure you can with enough disassembly - I can't remember if the fan was accessible in an easy manner. Thanks for watching!
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
is there 2 cabin air filters in this model?
Not that I'm aware of. Thanks for watching!
Thank you!
