Really enjoyed this. One of the few to get all the specs right and I think you were dead on with your opinions as well. Good shit man :) Can't wait to pick mine up later this year!
Are you kidding me? Have you ever owned a Ducati? I have a 1098s (with a few goods on her..) and she is both wnderful to ride and listen to..and reallt reliable...she has taken me to trips, journeys and Saturday rides and track days and never has she complained....unless you find her seat hard...there are not things to complain about for her category...
Absolutely agree about the V4 configuration and not being a Ducati fanboy who just couldn’t buy previous versions of this for many reasons apart from money. I am expecting mine this month!
I have just bought a Ducati V4S and agree with most of what you say. We will be developing the V4S as we have our H2. The H2 actually has 200 rwhpp and about 240bhp, many people confuse the 2 however they are very different. We will be sharing actual rwhp from stock, suffice to say it will be under 200 rwhp! Watch this space as we have, through exhaust and simple remap achieved 274 rwhp on our H2 (a 30% increase) and will be doing a similar job on our Ducati!
I think you're wrong about the H2 having 200 rwhp stock. I saw some dyno results that showed it make about 190 to the back wheel. Once you flash the ECU it jumps up considerably. I'm guessing kawasaki had to restrict it from the factory quite a bit for legal reasons, or whatever. Also manufacturers always list brake horsepower, never wheel horsepower. And kawasaki claims 200 horsepower from the H2. At least on their website they do. Here's a link to cycle world's dyno results proving the H2 doesn't come stock with 200rwhp. www.cycleworld.com/sites/cycleworld.com/files/styles/1000_1x_/public/import/embedded/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/2015-Kawasaki-Ninja-H2-dyno-video-insert-590x332.jpg?itok=i6WBUqbY
My friend we have remapped 12 plus H2's and trust me the stock figure is from 197 to 201 rwhp. The H2R is 242 rwhp and our remapped H2 wearing our exhausts range from 260-274 rwhp. As mentioned, we will take my fully stock V4S and provide figures in April/May
dyno numbers on their own is useless, too many variables that could cause different readings. If you want to compare to other bikes, then you need to dyno them at the same time, same dyno. Some dynos read too high, others too low.
Every single motor racing team in cars and bikes and every manufacturer relies heavily on dyno's for tuning and providing power figures, emissions and so on. Far from useless 9even on their own) they are the benchmark fr the entire Industry. What we always do is use the same dyno on the same day if possible so ambient temps are not too different and provide figures that are comparable with one another for the same bike. As such, my comment was the Ducati is NOT the most powerful production Superbike as the figure provided by Ducati, in the case of my V4S at 218 hp which will equate to around 180rwhp at best. The comparison I made is that a standard H2 is well over 190 rwhp and around 235/240hp from the factory. The video states that the Ductai has more in standard form than teh Ninja H2 which is simply incorrect. The H2R is quoted at 340 hp and 242rwhp. Our remapped H2's all achieve well in excess of 250 rwhp and we have achieved 273.9rwhp.
Dang, what an amazing voice you got, Hero RR! You are born to make these amazing youtube clips! Very informative, Wonderfully presented with nuance and feel. Keep up the great work.
If I had the money I would buy one of these and stick it in my living room as a piece of artwork. One thing that Ducati almost always gets right is their design... almost. And they certainly did it with this bike.
Actually the Kawasaki is still dominating wsbk... This is not allowed in wsbk. 4 cylinder 1000cc max. You looked like an idiot with your corny script writing.
H2 is very quick, but could not win any race if its life depended on it. Just too long and heavy. On a twisty circuit, even a 600 would beat it easily. HP and torque on its own is not nearly enough to go quickly anywhere there are some bends.
Ducati is already testing the race spec Panigale V4 R. It has under 1000cc for race homologation, and will be officially released during the World Ducati Week in July. Let’s see who dominates WSBK next season.
HeroRR - You make informative, and thoughtful videos… …that’s why i was surprised to see you had mistakenly placed a 1299 Panigale R Final Edition where clearly you had meant to place the jaw dropping Panigale V4 Speciale. A similar Italian Flag inspired paint scheme - but very different bikes inside and out. All that aside - I couldn’t agree with you more. This bike is stunning, in every way. Perhaps “the” bike of the decade. In many ways, I believe the Panigale V4 will be similar to the Ducati 916 - as an icon.
being a previous owner of 1098s with its insane lack of quality and reliability, then a 1199s which was ok and current owner of s1000rr , i can tell you after taking this v4 for a test ride , MAN all that hate that was buildup for ducati all these years will just melt away, what an insane FUCKING bike. there is absolutely nothing u can hate about it.
Great overview. I'm a Suzuki fan till the end. Always have been. I have been looking at this machine for a while now. Agree.... it is a beast of perfection!
In the moment you said, "i could not afford it" I was like, wait this guy has some hundred thousand subs and cant afford it? then for the first time ever, I checked your sub count and was shocked... you put out quality content dude, would deserve way more subs.
I really want one myself, I have always owned Japanese bikes, I am a little worried about reliability, but the specs are out of this world and its good to see a non forced induction sports bike with a genuine 200 bhp at the wheel for once.
You have to ride one someday. I bought an older 2015 Ducati R, and they are amazing. I know it's not the v4 but it is 357 lbs dry and 202 hp. Absolutely amazing to ride and so much more comfortable than one would think. The first time on the track with it I was dragging knee. It's that good and so predictable, although it turns in faster than you would think. So a lot of getting used to the bike is trying to keep it from turning in so fast. Also have to say the Desmosedici was the first V4 they made not this the V4's of 2018.
I wonder what Ducati is going to do as far as racing in World Super for the 2019 season. Displacement exceeds regulations of a 1000cc or less for V-4 motors.
Hey HeroRR! If you ever get the chance to come to Australia you are more then welcome to ride me RVF400 which is a V4! And if you want i have 3 CBR250RR 4cyl... (Fireblades), and also a 93' CBR900RR. How ever you are legit my FAVOURITE TH-camR!!!
Hey Samuel, that would be awesome! I will be going to Australia some day, i'll definitely take you up on that offer whenever I find myself over there :-) you have some of my favorite bikes ever (RVF400 and CBR250RR) Thank you!
Agree with everything in this video stated, what a machine the goal post have been moved can only be a great thing for the motorcycling industry great things to come me thinks great vids keep them coming love watching them and commentary is great
There will also be a V4R which will be the production bike to run for 2019 WSBK, which will be a 1000cc motor not a bike 1100 bike, i believe they are still meant to have 216bph at the motor, (pretty much the same idea as the 1199 R panigale.) :)
all of those electronics are also on the rsv4 tho... all aprilia is got to do is give a remodeling to the fairings. great video regardless I enjoy your channel.
I love Ducati, I always have, but I'm still bummed they don't have a fuel gauge. My Monster doesn't have one and these new ones don't seem to have one. It doesn't help that I have no idea how much gas is in the reserve tank. Is it really that hard to have a fuel gauge?
Ari and Zack did compared a brandnew Panigale V4S in lap times at Willow against a used battered 2005 GSX R1000 K5. It took them a week to tried a lot the hard way that no matter what they do even swap tires and few twicks but still, the K5 is still 1.5seconds faster than the Panigale V4S. The SBK King still rules
0:50 ... "V4 motors are the best motor configuration" .. maybe, but I would contest that on the basis that you made a video about strange motorcycles and pointed me to the V5 engine Honda made in the Honda RC211V ... that sounds like it was forged in the fires of hell... amazing.
Been waiting for two years on the new busa. Dealership tells me it will be later this year. Nobody knows for sure what its going to be. All we can do is wait for the the Tokyo show when it will be availed. Love my busa but im ready for a change and i think the V4 is it.
Looks nice. However it's nice to see that Ducati trusts it's product with an 7500 mile and 1 year warranty. On other hand BMW offers 3 years unlimited mileage warranty. Both manufacturers not being known for reliability and how expensive they are to repair the Ducati does not sound so perfect any more.
I took a spin on my son-in-law's racing Ducati, his other bike was the Ducati 1300 cruiser. Anyway I sold my bikes back in the 1970's, I don't suggest spinning around on a Ducati racer, when the fastest bike you ever rode was a early 1970's 500 Kawasaki, I'm serious.
Going by the extremely positive feedback Ducati are getting by all the moto journalists that test rode the new Panigale V4 the at the launch, the motorcycle world may be in for a shakeup. But It is extremely expensive and if we allow us to be picky then I would say that the V4 engine was quite a bit on the larger side. Both Yamaha and Ducati had their engines on display when there was a motorcycle show here in Sweden this weekend. And honest to God, I dropped my jaw when I saw how tiny the R1 engine was, it was basically the same size as a supersport 600 engine and I should know as I was forced to play doctor with mine supersport bikes. Anyway, all I can say is Good luck with the new Panigale V4 Ducati, maybe we will see Ducati on top in WSBK in 2019?
2 things bad about ducati...for me at least. 1. Little to no ducati support where i live. Closest is 2.5 hrs away. 2. Too high maintenance valvetrain. That requires an intensive teardown to get to the valves in that v setup.
Ian Kelley the stock Panigale are testing by MCN on Dyno 198.5 on the wheel with stock Exausst and real 307.5 km/h i dont wory about reaility because wich Super Bike have 15000km Intetval for the Services.I have to go with my kawasaki each 7000km to the Service???Now with the Panigale in two Seasons i make 30000km without any probs a couple of Times on Track andcweek Tours each Time 5000km.And the Bike still running😎after the 12000km Service eaven after 8000km dont have refill that much Oil that i have expacted.
They're works of art, having owned Ducatis myself I just don't miss my bike being at the dealer having warranty work done and missing out on trips. Ever since VW group bought them their quality I feel has diminished. Which is why I left for KTM
SuTen very true, not denying that. Just had more frequent issues with mine, the KTM haven't had an issue with. It all comes down to individual experiences.
Oh how I wish Massimo Tamburini was still around to do his fairy dust magic on the Panigale V4... The bike is stunning, don't get me wrong, but I'm certain he woulda made even moar gorgeous.
MOST people who hate on ducati have never ridden one and most people who never rode an japanese bike hate on them... its an completle objective wich bike YOU like, if you are an real biker you love any bike no matter who its build by... if you hate any bike you hate every bike...
That is indeed a stunning looking bike but I've got to say that I honestly rather the sound off a Ducati Panigale with a V twin. I really the sound of V4s like this Honda VFR but there's just a magic top Ducati V twins. Everyone's different 😉✌👍
I have owned and ridden almost every superbike that’s come out since sport bikes were invented, including Ducati. Here’s my opinion on Ducati. If you have deep pockets, love the look, sound, and exclusivity of having something special, Ducati is your bike. If you barely have enough money to afford the bike and insurance, you should probably go with a GSXR/R1/CBR/ZX bike. When they talk about “character” or “soul” in regards to motorcycles, they are talking about its flaws. My Ducati had loads of character and a deep soul. So much so that there were many “therapy” sessions on the lift. When things go wrong on a Duck, they go horrendously wrong. I could not afford the cost of ownership. I’ve never owned a bike that required so much from me as my Ducati. Another thing is that they are not precision machines like their counterparts. They are engineered art. I required repeatability and reliability, so this was a deal breaker for me. Magazine and TH-cam people who rate these machines do not pay out of pocket to own and maintain them. Every new or exotic bike can pass the honeymoon phase, so do not go solely off these guys’ opinions. If you want a Euro bike that is reliable, repeatable, and has powerhouse power, spend your money on a BMW S1000rr. Its got the looks and the features (minus TFT screen) that won’t disappoint at the track or the street.
They are also top of the line (like all Italian motor vehicles) in shop time and shop expense. The Italians are all about form over function. But... she shore is purdy!!! Ain’t she!
Really enjoyed this. One of the few to get all the specs right and I think you were dead on with your opinions as well. Good shit man :) Can't wait to pick mine up later this year!
Jaret Campisi thought you were denied by Teens?
She doesn't make the decisions in this house haha
Jaret Campisi well sweet deal! When should first track day planned?!?
Are you kidding me? Have you ever owned a Ducati? Nah the RSV4 still looks better. Also first V4 for Ducati, wait a few years.
Your videos are professional, love wacthing your vids.
Doflamingo there's nothing professional about that video
Cool bike. V4 is a good engine layout for a bike, allows a bigger cylinder bore while staying narrow overall.
Man-oh-man! This video is like an official Ducati ad. Keep making such videos, loved it.
Absolutely agree about the V4 configuration and not being a Ducati fanboy who just couldn’t buy previous versions of this for many reasons apart from money. I am expecting mine this month!

self canceling turn signals! lemme sell my car & bike , and fk student loans and buy this baby, thats all i need on a bike lol
Best V4 quick synopsis video I’ve seen. Nice work!
If I had the money I would buy one of these and stick it in my living room as a piece of artwork. One thing that Ducati almost always gets right is their design... almost. And they certainly did it with this bike.
Best video! We see the pasion and the hole editing! It's incredible
WSBK + MotoGP: "Guys, we need new bikes"
Kawasaki: "Hey guys, here's the H2. Gun' win everything -"
Ducati: "Hold my beer."
Hold my wine*
Actually the Kawasaki is still dominating wsbk...

Bike is bonkers! I got the S model and can honestly say this is the first bike that actually frightens me!

Love the unbiased commentary

I fell in love with this Ducati! Great video!
Nice job, you're really good at voice overs. There's an error on the warranty part, all Ducati's have a 2 year unlimited miles warranty in the USA.
Great overview.
I'm a Suzuki fan till the end. Always have been.
I have been looking at this machine for a while now. Agree.... it is a beast of perfection!

A ducati fan from starting, thanks for the video.
After watching this bike & this video editing, I think my life is complete.
Love how this video sprinkles in pics ok for the FE throughout the video. Yes, yes and yes. That's the bike I just got, picked over the Speciale 💪💪💪
take delivery of my Speciale with Akra's installed in 5 days, I cannot wait!!
I really want one myself, I have always owned Japanese bikes, I am a little worried about reliability, but the specs are out of this world and its good to see a non forced induction sports bike with a genuine 200 bhp at the wheel for once.
as a wallpaper it rocks...the best looking liter bike...and most powerful when and if it starts
I agree with you on the V4 comments. I have an old Honda ST1100, and its a silky smooth sport touring mount.
You have to ride one someday. I bought an older 2015 Ducati R, and they are amazing. I know it's not the v4 but it is 357 lbs dry and 202 hp. Absolutely amazing to ride and so much more comfortable than one would think. The first time on the track with it I was dragging knee. Congratulations you have another subscriber 😊👍
Hey HeroRR! If you ever get the chance to come to Australia you are more then welcome to ride me RVF400 which is a V4! And if you want i have 3 CBR250RR 4cyl... (Fireblades), and also a 93' CBR900RR.

HeroRR haha yess man! Sounds like a plan. Ill never ever be getting rid of them!
Great video mate. Wow those headlights are Amaz ing
I've never been a fan until this bike. Unreal to say the least 👌🏻
Loved this video, one of the best! I still think you should get an Honda V4 800 Interceptor! Unnfff
You are the best Moto vlogger ever, it's a short time I'm following you but I'm always agree
Thanks for another great review video
saw your video , subscribed, no questions asked
Im not a big fan of ducati. But this takes the cake. If I wanted a ducati, this would be it
Can You Maybe Do a Video About MV Agusta? Thanks.
AT 1:32, thats a Panigale L Twin 1299s....not v4 panigale
I was running out of pictures... thought no one would notice.. lol :)
HeroRR it's cool man, I appreciate all the videos and effort that you put into it. Keep it up and I continue to support fam..
Agree with everything in this video stated, what a machine the goal post have been moved can only be a great thing for the motorcycling industry great things to come me thinks great vids keep them coming love watching them and commentary is great
literally perfection

:)
New Ducati V4 tested at 199 rwp, which is a little more than the Panigale 1200 twin.
One of the best looking bike in the world
I'm here for your awesome voice. Thanks
all of those electronics are also on the rsv4 tho... all aprilia is got to do is give a remodeling to the fairings. great video regardless I enjoy your channel.
I love Ducati, I always have, but I'm still bummed they don't have a fuel gauge. My Monster doesn't have one and these new ones don't seem to have one. It doesn't help that I have no idea how much gas is in the reserve tank. Is it really that hard to have a fuel gauge?
A month ago I bought the 2018 959 and absolutely love it. I sorry, but I will never go back to Japan for motorcycles after owning a Ducati.
Nice beast, looking pretty good, thanks
Ari and Zack did compared a brandnew Panigale V4S in lap times at Willow against a used battered 2005 GSX R1000 K5. It took them a week to tried a lot the hard way that no matter what they do even swap tires and few twicks but still, the K5 is still 1.5seconds faster than the Panigale V4S. The SBK King still rules
I'll still take the V4. Tnx! 😉

More powerful than h2 i never gave attention to ducatis..but this bike is dream 😍😍😍
Omg i NEED to change my pants
Do you have any info on the new rumored Hayabusa Supercharged 1400cc ?
its bound to be ugly :-)
Wait what, how come I never hear of this?
Been waiting for two years on the new busa. Dealership tells me it will be later this year. Nobody knows for sure what its going to be. All we can do is wait for the the Tokyo show when it will be availed. Love my busa but im ready for a change and i think the V4 is it.
Really hyped and hoping honestly, I have full faith that the new busa won't end up like the new NSX
Looks nice.

Where do you live, you can ride mine speciale when it gets here
If you’re in the Massachusetts/ New England area we can work something out. Thanks :)
Kastner, bring it to Homestead Speedway!
dont go for speciale samratbiketech.com/sport-bikes/
That didn't sound kosher.
That thing looks Brutal

The Ferrari for motorcycles
Exept ducati is leading. Ferrari is not really leading in anything
The McLaren of motorcycles
Or bugatti
Joel Del Pilar bugatti is trash
Kaisuhina ferrari in the 1950's
Great vid!
How did Ducati even got Italians to work together is a miracle in itself. 😆
I'm too damned old for a sportbike and STILL want this bike... I've got my fingers crossed for a super naked version in '19 or '20.
Is it the new king of stock production bikes? I agree with the V4 engines being amazing!!
Yes the power & torque that in line fours don't have and the balance , makes them easy to throw around and then boom off they go .
Today im testing it in new port beach usa presentation! Cant waittt
Great video for a great (the greatest) bike
Buys that Ducati*
Immediately puts two brothers exhaust*
Your videos like this are my favorite, The American Jeremy Clarkson.
Hey, I like these vids a lot, too. But Clarkson he is not.
haha, yeah i'm flattered but i'm not worth of a clarkson title lol :) Thanks though
You are willing to admit that, though, so you get extra brownie points from me. lol
Amazing video and looking bike but im curious for the reliability.
Yes V4 is the best engine for a bikes and I will testify to that.
If the speciale was turbocharged like h2r wow that would be another level of insanity 😍
Mixed some pics of the 1299 panigale, great video tho
I really like the vfr for some reason
Yeah. It's very simple looking yet very elegant. Not a ducati fanboy, I'm a japanese bike lover and I gotta say that ducati looks sexy.
But I thought the 300cc Vespa is ... never mind. Excellent video.
i love this bike so much!
Forget H2s im getting a v4 bike for my next one (unless a better configuration comes out before then)!
Do you like the ducati's front end holes-ram air thing? The one beneath the headlights. I think that part is a bit...well, ugly to say the least.
It sounds like a F1. Definitely gorgeous!
I thought the Kawasaki was over 300 hp (312 or 315...).
Im just glad they got rid of that damn dry clutch
Yes always sounds broken.
Agreed
Sounds like a V twin due to firing order.... Which is orite. I still luv how the sounds of Aprilia rsv4 and the desmosedici rr
great vid just got one im not rich work hard and saved some money got a good pcp deal cant wait
Oh how I wish Massimo Tamburini was still around to do his fairy dust magic on the Panigale V4... The bike is stunning, don't get me wrong, but I'm certain he woulda made even moar gorgeous.
Plzzz make videos on 150cc to 200cc motorcycles
And your opinion regarding that segment
MOST people who hate on ducati have never ridden one and most people who never rode an japanese bike hate on them... its an completle objective wich bike YOU like, if you are an real biker you love any bike no matter who its build by... if you hate any bike you hate every bike...
Good morning sir,
Can u please tell me that which is the best budget bike with single sided swing arm. In India
How the hell u carry a passenger?
Small bike height for a big/tall guy...
Still looks awesome though!
If I was a rider this is what I would be rolling on.

NICE BIKE :)
now ducati needs to make a v4 sport tourer version and it will be perfect!
They are also top of the line (like all Italian motor vehicles) in shop time and shop expense. The Italians are all about form over function. But... she shore is purdy!!! Ain’t she!
