    The Jaig Eyes on Rex's helmet is a sign of Battle Honors that he did himself as honor in battle is something he prefers and that Mandalorians respect, which probably makes him one of deadliest and even the most hardcore in battle, and much like Mandalorians he'll not hesitate to fight dirty if he has to if his opponent happens to be one of unconventional warfare

    It always bothered the hell out of me how these tiny jet packs were able to match or even out run full aircraft even at altitude. If those tiny nozzles could put out that kind of thrust then the engines on air and space craft should have been much much smaller. Hell, there wouldn't even be a need for the LAAT if the clone troopers could just drop from high altitude or even from a Venerator in low space orbit.

      I agree.
      Though, I think these gunships are easily capable to outrun the jetpack guy. Here they were going slower to maintain formation, I guess. I couldn't see Ahsoka jumping like that from one ship to another like that in atmoshphere, however badass it looks.
      Also the ratio of the engine/jetpack to size/weight on both the aircraft and jetpack user could be somewhat similar.

      @brainplay8060 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Nicitel94 Not a chance on the ratio. The person, armor, and weapons plus any supporting gear compared to the pair of 2 inch nozzles for each backpack is waaaay off. That would be like an F-16 with a 12 inch exhaust.
      During the Mandalorian we watched one guy go into low orbit and then return. Just trying to exit a gravity well is takes a huge amount of thrust and energy.
      Yeah, jetpacks are waaaaaaay overpowered. For there size there is no reason not to equip and entire army with them. Why even bother with LAATs? If one goes down it takes and entire squad. It would be cheaper just to have the entire squad just jetpack down themselves. Fewer to be hit by AA. Do you see what I mean here.

      Yep, I just shared my though, not understanding the science behind it to that extent.
      More and more seems inconsistent since the franchise is under Disney, like that instance in the latest season of Mandalorian you mentioned. That was a horseshi ... just like most of the content they make.

    • @Nicitel94

      @@brainplay8060 It is also a matter of each's side military doctrine, both having its pros and cons.
      The differences tend to be more significant the more distinct the cultures are from eachother. Look at real life example from the Cold War, same planet, cultures not THAT different from the ones in this video. The Soviet doctrine was relying on waves of armour and meat, while NATO was more defensive and that reflected the designs of their tanks and other assets.

    • @brainplay8060
      @brainplay8060 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Nicitel94 Soviet vs NATO always came down to technological edge. The Russians were always behind the curve and used what was proven whether or not it was becoming obsolete. However, two issues pop up with that comparison. First, Mandalorians used off the shelf jetpacks and weapons. Few things were made on Mandalore itself outside of the Westar blasters. Second, the Clone Troopers were all trained by Mandalorians including with jetpacks which we see in the video so that's not even the issue here.
