    The Quad Cast sounds the crispiest and has the best selection of features in my opinion. For future mic comparison videos, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to do a pop test (say a sentence with a lot of p's to see how well the mic handles it). Love the video and I hope your son is doing better. I'm keeping him in my prayers.

  • @CaptainFlips

    Keep in mind that the Elgato Wave is also a physical mixer. In the software you can set up different channels and separately control volume to the stream, to you and exactly what's included in that audio channel. I personally have one and absolutely love it! The knob, the mute button, the look, the customizability and the build all just make this an amazing microphone.

    • @Chosen121580

    I know this is an old video, but was using it to review the mics. I went with the Elgato Wave3 just because of its ability to load .VST plugins directly into the mic using the Elgato software, making it so that you can use your mic with all the great plugins on work calls, discord, streaming, etc - it's just that ease of access that means I can sound crisp, clear across all my calls without needing to adjust settings in each app.

    Honestly, I feel like the Hyper X would be my pick. I just wish you could change the lighting to not be so obvious. Even like a small LED in the X logo would be nice to move the mute/unmute light to be not so prominent.
    As for sound, I think all of them except for the Epos I would be happy with. For me the Epos should be a max of $130-40 just to get me to look at it. Especially when all of the others are doing what they do for around that price.

    @luk7n 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    But the Epos sounds nicest to me, present and neutral, they are ex Sennheiser so I think they kinda know what they are doing. But the stand is stupid. Either way, these are condenser microphones and you can´t just make it heavier to pick up less noise, while it´s sitting on your table flat. Every microphone needs to have shockmount, also pop filter, and even so you should not have it further away, because the more gain you put into it, the more noise it would pick, so keep it close to your mouth, 15 inches is the right spot, around 8 inches is when you want to get the proximity effect.

    I've tried both the blue yeti x and the regular one and honestly I think the regular one is better because the sound almost comes out to the same. Both Mics have the incredible software. And, I just think it's the size that is different. Sure the yeti x will be better just in general but I'd rather just go out and save the 40 bucks and get a few accessories for the regular one and bam, both mics sound the same. That's just my opinion on them while I had tried them both out like a month ago.

    All of these mics are condenser mics. They are very sensitive to picking up background noise. If you are using a mic while gaming I would highly suggest picking up a dynamic XLR mic if you can afford it. Most dynamic mics have excellent off axis sound rejection, without having to use a massive noise gate.
