    Hey everyone! Hope you're doing well. This is a bit different from my usual content, but I've been planning to expand and include hardware analyses on my channel for a while, including a look at the new gen consoles, and both Nvidia and AMD's new video cards that will drop later this year.
    However - you can still expect the same regular amount of gaming focused content as well - including upcoming videos on the PC release of Horizon Zero Dawn, and a look at the recently released Skateboarding game "Skater XL" and how it compares to either Session or SKATE (let me know which one you'd be more interested in seeing!)

    The only problem with the yeti is when you yell, the viewer hears it in a very loud way where it hurts but with the Wave 3, if you yell in it on its default settings, it's way better. It's what I've noticed personally.

      I will be doing hardware comparisons including PC components like GPUs - but only when it's realistic to do so. I don't have easy access to a lot of high end hardware. I'm partnered with AMD currently - and they've been really awesome about hooking me up with their new tech, but any Nvidia/Intel hardware has to come out of pocket from me

    Great comparison. I have ordered the Elgato Wave 3 , as I have a stream deck and like the audio features that come with the Wave 3. Not one for knowing much about audio settings and mixers so I think for basic streamers such as myself, this is a safer choice. They are both so close, I dare not say which is better to be honest. Thank you for the review of these two products. At least I have not ordered a dud.

    For me, the Yeti is the absolute easiest way for my wife to get a quality stereo recording that pans her voice from her guitar a bit, without any tech skills or ancillary gear (you just need a suitable stand to position it right). If it was just for voice, any decent cardioid USB mic would do; and the Elgato looks jiffy.

    I'd really like to have some software tool, like the Wave has, for Blue Yeti.
    The X version has a lot of tweaks with Logitech G Hub or Blue Companion app via Blue Voice. The regular Yeti does not.
    There's an alternative for all the other microphones, made by Voicemeter, but imho is clunky to use with virtual cables inputs and so on.

  • @150booyadragon
    @150booyadragon ปีที่แล้ว

    For the Yeti, it's very slight, but it sounds like one is speaking while slightly constricting their airway. Though, it's very clean.
    The wave3 is fuller and more natural, but
    The background noise is much fuller as well, and is slightly louder.
    I think it's a head long race, and the answer of which someone would want would definitely be what is on sale, or if you're picky about someone hearing your PC fan or if your tone is very slightly off.

    The Elgato Wave 3 sounds a bit 'muddy' and I would like you to turn down the lower mids, but I think the Elgato sounds a tiny bit better. As in it sounds like it captures "more", but I think I like the less bass profile from the blue yeti.

I bought it for just 90€ and if the button doesnt stop working I see myself using this mic for at least 3 more years.

    I think one of the main areas of comparison are the build design and usability. Blue Yeti is really heavy, hard to hang on boom arm and 90% of blue yetis come with a badly machined screw hole and dont work with boom arms. Also the blue yetis plug socket quality is shitty, so is their included cable and both will usually fail in less than 2 years. The wave 3 has a high quality USB-c cable, in a more convenient position (the back, compared to the bottom with the BY)

  • @FallenLight0
    @FallenLight0 ปีที่แล้ว
