Hi Paula you did a recipe for pecan pie cheesecake with apples I believe it was on your show with your former network can you make that recipe and do a video too it inspired my own pecan pie cheesecake that is to die for
A friend taught me to put this all together with raw onions and then cover & refrigerate overnight! Bake next day. Oh my! the flavors all come together and the onions sweat off the liquid into it. Delicious!
Good morning! I love hashbrown casserole. I top mine with what we Canadians call crispy onions or French fried onions (found around where croutons are in the grocery store). Yum!
I am with you on the preferring the shredded potatoes verses the cubed ones! The consistency is much better and the taste is too!! Thank you for sharing all of these recipes with us!!!! Valdosta says hello!!
Very often I would make something similar, except I would portion this out in freezer to bake ovenware. You always had a breakfast dish or side dish ready to be baked.
We love this! I like to serve it for brunch. I stir in cooked crumbled sausage and bacon or chopped ham. I put it into individual ramekins and bake an egg on top. It’s great for entertaining since I don’t have to cook eggs to order.
@@lorielizabethwade7505 350 for 20 minutes then use a spoon to press a little well in the center of each one and place the egg. Season with salt and pepper and bake for another 10 minutes. I sprinkle chopped chives on top when they’re done.
I have made a dish very similar to this and I have tried many other people’s recipes... and I have never heard of it topped with potato chips before. I top mine with crushed corn flakes mixed with melted butter. Yum! 😋
Hey Paula....I make it exactly the same way as you, however, I use Campbell's Cream of Chicken with Herbs soup. That particular soup is sometimes difficult to find, but the variety with "herbs" really adds a savory touch.
Good Morning Y'all...it's Hump Day😁.I love hasbrown casserole it's sooo good. I wish I had a bowl of this with my coffee right now. I use the frozen also so much easier. Love you all have a wonderful day Paula, Eddie, Teresa♥️
We All Cried! Such a Travesty … mainly by one group! But Ms Paula strong an all her fans still love her … forget the Hollywood an New York types…. her food not Fancy Enough but everything is so good an anybody can make her receipts. My daughter learned how to cook watching Paulas instructions … wish I could find those first two or three season I that tiny kitchen she cooked in!
Paula, I make mine exactly as you made yours. Every once in awhile I will use cream of mushroom soup but not Everyone likes mushroom soup. I do use more cheese than you used. Thank you for always sharing wonderful goodie recipes. ♥️♥️♥️
Love watching Paula! Appreciate Eddie, Theresa and Paula doing what they do to make these videos successful. I love you sharing all these great recipes and hearing the stories. Thankyou so much👍❤️
I have had so many different variations of this and I love them all, but the recipe that I have made for years uses the Potatoes O'Brien, which has the onion and also bell pepper. Then you heat butter, Velveeta, french onion dip, and cream of chicken soup on the stove, then add to potatoes. Finally, you top it with crushed corn flakes that have been coated with melted butter and bake.
Hi Paula from North Carolina. Hope you’re doing well! I just made and ate a hash brown casserole. And now I’m going to watch you…nothing like learning more, right.
Hi Ms. Paula, I make my casserole just like you do, except I like to use a dash of season salt and cream of onion soup. It’s (cream of onion soup) hard to find but worth it. This is a family favorite recipe.
Miss Paula I have adored you since I first saw you. Thank you for all your recipes and your beautiful soul and i love all your family. Be blessed sweet lady. Trying this recipe tomorrow. Oh i cant wait. 💜💜💜💜💜
My husband loves this recipe especially when I use fiesta cheese blend and french onion dip instead of the plain sour cream and the topping I use rice chex cereal tossed in lots of melted butter. Everything else you did I do.
I made this with chopped ham for s covered dish at school and when I went to collect my dish afterward, there was a group of ladies staking it out so they could ask for the recipe. Way to go, Paula!
When you mentioned making it the night before, is that before baking? Just mix it up the night before and wait until morning to bake? Thank you so much for this!
I love you Paula a watched you since my kids were born a they all grown a w kids..all in they're in their thirtys.glad to see never a looked to see you a watched you back in a you still got it Paula ..your the best ..
This hashbrown casserole looks delicious! Sometimes I add bacon, sausage or ham to mine. I'll have to try the potato chip topping. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us Miss Paula! Love you.
This is a wonderful recipe, I think when I make it instead of plain potato chips I'm going to use the sour cream and onion chips. Thank you for your video and may God bless.
Good morning Paula, and everyone else. I’m from Wilmington- Los Angeles, California this looks so good as does everything you make Paula. I just love you, your cheerful laugh, your spirit and of course your delicious cooking recipes. Bless your heart ❤️ sweetie. I hope your Mother’s Day was a big blessing 💐💝
I’ve never made a hash brown casserole for breakfast before. I think I have made a similar recipe but was topped with pork chops and slices of onion 🧅.
The one I make has cream of mushroom soup and the sour cream and cheese but it starts out with sautéed green onions in 1 stick of butter. The topping is 2 cups of corn flakes mixed with 1 stick of melted butter. My grown children call them party potatoes🎉🎉
Now that tomato season is coming can’t wait to make your tomato basil tea sandwiches. The most requested sandwich that I make. Thank you for the recipe years ago. So happy to see you.
Good morning ms. Paula.I thought I’d laugh myself to death when u said u and Eddie were doing dishes so I watched to see what type of dish detergent u used?I’m a dawn dude! Love u ms. Paula...been following you for a long time...and I sure do love ya. I use to ask mama for chips on my baloney sandwiches 🥪....yummmmmmy!
How I wish that Paula could be provided with LARGE mixing bowls so she doesn't have to struggle with mixing. It seems that she never has a big enough bowl. Drives me crazy!! Lol 😳
I believe she said that most of her dishes are in storage right now because they're still working on their house, so that's why they're just using what they have right now. I'm sure when she gets moved into her house she'll get back to using her bigger bowls to mix with. 😉🙂👍
I have always shredded my own and diced onion and red peppers and serve them as a bed for sunny side up eggs with breakfast sausage and good old buttermilk biscuits. I am gonna try making a potato salad out of the little cubed taters. I hope it turns out...fresh dill and sour cream as part of the mayo.
My mum has made this with cream of mushroom soup a little bit of green onion and I think sour cream and some Cooked chopped bacon and cheese damn good and this looks great too commenting from Canada
That sounds awesome. I also commented that it needs bacon and fried white onions. Green onions would work too. I love cream of mushroom soup, can't believe I didn't think of that. Thanks you hoser!
Paula, my daughter is 47 years old and she said she hopes her hair gets the color of yours. She loves your hair and thinks you are a beautiful lady. Got to try this casserole.
Sure wish you would bring back the air fryer you have on your counter! We so love ours and want a new one! The Light color one. I bake every thing in it! Have not turned on my oven in 2 years!
I use defrosted Tater tots that I break apart, and I put much more cheese and bacon pieces on top. I use Cream of Chicken soup, and Crushed cornflakes mixed with butter and some shredded parm cheese
I usually use cream of chicken soup and a block of cream cheese in mine but I do also use half a tub of sour cream and after it cooks I put cheese on top as well
I do love hashbrown casserole and so does my kids. I agree I like the shredded frozen hashbrowns the best. Looks delicious Paula...!! Thanks for sharing another delicious recipe with us!! ❤👍
Paula, like you said, who doesn't like hash brown casserole?! I use cream of mushroom soup in mine, but next time will use cream of celery like you did. Yum-o!
How many of y'all have had this dish at Paula Deen's Family Kitchen in Pigeon Forge, TN?

I always watch Paula each day I can not wait for her to show me what she has next.... I love Paula Hello from this rainy morning in North Carolina
A friend taught me to put this all together with raw onions and then cover & refrigerate overnight! Bake next day. Oh my! the flavors all come together and the onions sweat off the liquid into it. Delicious!
By All means!
I use an 8oz container of french onion chip dip instead of the onion and plain sour cream. Tastes great and saves a step

I defrost the hash browns in a colander so the water drains when they thaw. I still squeeze but there isn't as much water. Family loves this dish.
Very often I would make something similar, except I would portion this out in freezer to bake ovenware. You always had a breakfast dish or side dish ready to be baked.
I make a hashbrown casserole every family get together except I use about 4x that cheese lol
Oh yeah, I use way more cheese as well!! 😋

Yum, yum! One of my favorite side dishes. Great recipe for this classic. Thanks, Paula. Stay blessed and love and best dishes. 😁 💞🙏
Looks good Paula ! Potato chip sounds amazing!
You are amazing! I would never think to squeeze out the water of the potatoes. That’s why you’re the Queen of the kitchen 👑
I use cream of mushroom soup, reserve some cheese for top, instead of sautéed onions, i add French fried onion rings on top with the reserved cheese.
Just love you, 💘I'm 58 and you was first cook I started watching on Food Network, when they took you off I cried, honestly 😢💔, I love seeing you!!

Just thaw the hash browns in a colander: that way the liquid can drain while they are thawing.
And don’t put the squeezed back in with the unsqueezed!
I always rolled them in a couple of paper towels and squeezed them.
This hashbrown casserole looks delicious! Sometimes I add bacon, sausage or ham to mine. I'll have to try the potato chip topping. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us Miss Paula! Love you.

I'd try this dish but instead of cream of celery soup, I'd try it with cream of bacon soup. Potatoes and bacon are a match made in heaven!
Hmmm I’ve always used cream of mushroom and mayo..I’ve tried sour cream but it seemed a bit bland... I will def try sautéed onions next time!!
My very picky 36 year old daughter came up with adding “Frosted Flakes” on top- with a bit of melted butter-it’s the bomb!
Maybe corn flakes. Frosted flakes would make it too sweet.
Doubt your daughter came up with that since about 10 trillion recipes use corn flakes as well
Also, u can add Bacon bits/scallions/ ham bits to the casserole. Merry Christmas!!!!
Looks outrageous!!! I have to make this!! Wow! 💖💖

I've never had hash brown casserole. Although we do usually have hash browns once a week with fried eggs & bacon.
