Hi Pedro. Thanks for watching. We did complete our ride on the Route of the Hiawatha recently. Probably won’t show up on the channel until mid-October. I’m looking forward to seeing if you think it gives a better sense of the trail than some of the others out there. “See” you on our next ride.

Thanks. We have a whole new group of adventures from our 40 day road trip out west coming up over the fall and winter. We hope to “see” you on those rides.

The forest in Connecticut are really beautiful and some of the trails are quite remote. You Don't see anybody on them for quite some time. Few hours at a time. The airline trail starting at the Rhode Island border is my favorite rail to trail in Connecticut, though. It's a bit rough at that end of the trail. The state has heavily invested in tunnels and bridges to complete the trail.

Thanks for your comment on the Air Line Trail. Very helpful. We had planned to ride the Air Line Trail last year, but the weather didn’t want us to. Hopefully, we can get back there in the future. We appreciate your support of our channel.

The state has just granted funds for some bathroom facilities along its rail trails. Personally, I like the dirt trails found on the Hop River and the Airline Trail. But admittedly, it is not for everyone. An e-mountain bike is better suited for these trails, particularly sections of the Airline trail heading east. (It can be rocky and rooted in spots.) But these are sparsely traveled trails, because of its rough nature. The westbound section of the Airline Trail, from Willimantic to Hebron and beyond, is probably the most traveled route. *Your observation about the absence of facilities and food is correct, in all directions, on both trails. You have to bring your own water and snacks. Glad to see you made it to CT!

Thanks for the additional information. We wanted to get on the Airline Trail, but Randy got a flat on the East Bay Bike Path and because it was his back tire and our bikes have a special drive system we didn’t want to mess with it and went home a day early :(. Good to hear that the state is going to make some improvements on the trail. Thanks for watching. We hope to “see” you on our next adventure.
