    your total approach is fantastic,but you need to check your video before posting; eg. you said no random, but it should be random mating in order for H.W equation to be in equilibrum

    2. Random mating is must to maintain that equation..

    A sample of 100 people from a particular population was tested for their MM blood antigen and was found to be distributed. MM-41 MN-38 NN-21. Calculate the gene frequency of M and N according to hardy weinberg principal, ?

    • @vaibhavchhaya9145
      @vaibhavchhaya9145 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Allelic frequency of M=
      freq(MM) + 0.5*freq(MN)
      Allelic frequency of N=
      freq(NN) + 0.5*freq(MN)
      (Solve it yourself)

      @JK-gp4sd 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vaibhavchhaya9145 respected sir/madam, i have a question the answer turns out to be M=60 and N=40....but how u gave it as M=0.6 and N =0.4 ....can U explain me?

    • @vaibhavchhaya9145
      @vaibhavchhaya9145 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      To get the frequencies, you have to divide with the total no of people in the population( that is 100). You are not dividing by 100 that's why you are getting 60 and 40
      So, Number of people with MM genotype=41
      and Frequency/Fraction of people with MM genotype=41/100=0.41
      Do this for MN and NN, apply it you will get 0.6 and 0.4
