@@JacobSargentTech I'm sure it will get better. Not like Manchester United are performing any better tbh. I am curious to know though if your current solution is web only? I was watching episode 8 and started thinking of how it would translate to the mobile version 🤔
Good video , would be nice to see more of the technical side too , like how did you handle auth ? Did you use passport js ? What are some interesting pieces of code or things you learnt , something along them lines would be interesting
Hi Leigh, noted will try add more of the technical side in my next video. I plan to go into more technical detail in my newsletter so be sure to subscribe to that if that’s what you’re interested in. I do use passport.js for the auth with JWT tokens! Thanks for your support 👌
Great video! Feels like a browser extension could be a useful feature to add in the future. Even if just to help during the onboarding process whilst users change existing workflows & move over - Could overlay directly onto Companies House?
It's a great idea and fun fact the original idea! My thought are to build out the core of the product in a web app, which can then be moved into a browser extension, takes you to the right page when using CH plus when you're on a company website, it gets their details for you automatically! All exciting stuff. Thanks for your comment 🧑💻
@@JacobSargentTech Same here I Don't like NextAuth and I want my own custom solution however I'm still new to next.js and finding videos that don't use nextAuth is really hard...
Hey Jacob, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your highly engaging thumbnails which will help your video to reach to a wider audience .
Hi mate, I only came across your channel a couple of days ago and I have loved watching the series and am looking forward to seeing the rest. I’m going to be learning to code in the new year so I am curious as to how you learnt. What’s your best advice in terms of getting started? Ie. Roadmap? Path to becoming a freelancer like yourself? Would you recommend JS? Sorry for bombarding you with questions.. Keep up the good work👍
Thanks for your comment Danny. Happy to hear your planning to start coding in the new year. I’m actually planning a video on your great questions so stay tuned for that. I would recommend starting with basics like HTML, CSS and vanilla JS, then move into frameworks and backend. You’ll have to wait for the video for more detail! 🙌🧑💻
love the video. It nice to watch someone build in public
Glad you enjoyed it, more to come 👌
Found your channel a few weeks ago. Never knew you were a Chelsea fan!

Web only for now! a mobile app version would be sick... perhaps after some £££ paying users.
Keep up with the great work Jacob!!, Good luck mate..
Thanks a ton! Appreciate your comment 🙌

Hey thanks for your comment, and to answer your question no I don't!
Hey how did you do your authentication system? Did u use nextAuth or you built a custom system from scratch?
Hey! I used a mixture of passport.js and JWT tokens for auth. I don't like nextauth, not sure why 🤣🤣🤣
