    A message from Kristine, founder of NurseInTheMaking📣
    My name is Kristine and I survived nursing school…and you can too!
    Nurse In The Making was inspired during my time in nursing school. I immediately struggled and decided to create my own study guides. These guides have helped me personally as well as many others make nursing school just a little more manageable.I hope you find comfort knowing that everyone struggles at times. Nursing school is emotionally and physically draining. I hope these informative, clean, and simple guides help you navigate through all the information because there is A LOT of it in nursing school.
    Happy Studying Future Nurses. Don't forget to enjoy the journey!

    I really love this topic, it's one of my most favorite as I venture my second year in nursing school. This is made easy for us by our instructor, but I also love your own style on how you come up with the total GTPAL, because sometimes I do shortcut hahaha. Thanks for this practice questions 🩺

    Thanks so much, Kristine! I'm curious why on question 3, her T is 0, when she's carried her current pregnancy to 39 weeks. Why doesn't her current pregnancy count as 1, if she's carried to term and T is regardless of outcome? Thanks so much!

    • @astrid6232
      @astrid6232 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it's because the patient is still in labor. And T is the number BORN at 37 or >37 weeks (like you said, regardless of the outcome)

    Could you please make a video explaining how to calculate the 2 digit method as well?! It was in the test and I couldn’t figure out the answer. I looked everywhere in TH-cam, no one has posted one at all. All they all posted is about the GTPAL. Thank you much

    On the last question, why isn't it P0 A2?

    • @jesse6352
      @jesse6352 ปีที่แล้ว

      A = abortion or miscarriage, even though the baby wasn’t alive it made it to 36 weeks

  • @vincentthampy7606
    @vincentthampy7606 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Last example live will be one because still born child 2 years ago that baby still alive right please correct me if I am wrong

    • @NurseInTheMaking
      @NurseInTheMaking  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your question. "Stillborn" refers to an infant born dead. So, this child was not alive at birth. I hope this clears this information up for you. Best of luck on your nursing journey!

    Hi Kristy I’m all the way from South Africa. May I ask what app you use to make your videos?

  • @julianagarza5263
    @julianagarza5263 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I feel a little mis lead and maybe there needs to be an update because on my test it says that the baby needs to be at 20 weeks to be considered a pregnancy I had gotten the question wrong and that’s the answer it gave me the patient in the question had a total of 4 pregnancy but only two reached the 20 weeks I was very confused on answering

    • @NurseInTheMaking
      @NurseInTheMaking  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for reaching out! I would go back and double-check the exact wording of that question. A pregnancy is confirmed upon several findings, but the positive finding for pregnancy is when the baby is "heard, felt, and seen" via ultrasound and/or doppler, which occurs before 20 weeks of pregnancy. I hope this helps clear up any confusion!

    What would 37 week count

    • @josealdrinsangco2513
      @josealdrinsangco2513 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      37th week is still premature/pre-term. >37th or starting at 38th week starts the 'Term"
