  • This trip report begins at Venice Mestre Train Station, which is on the Italian mainland Venice, and ends at Venice Santa Lucia Train Station.
    More precisely, it will end with the view that appears to the tourist right outside the door of the Venice Santa Lucia train station, and it is the Grand Canal and moving gondolas, water trams and other water vessels.
    Here, tourists getting off the train begin their walking tours around Venice as there is no ground transport here, only the aforementioned water trams or water taxis etc.
    This 4k resolution movie can be a great tourist guide showing you how to ride an Italian train on the dike from mainland Venice called Mestre to the historic Venice built on stilts on a lagoon crossed by one great canal called the Grand Canal and hundreds of smaller ones.

    I love the junction (also railway) among Mestre and Venice, it's so lively and full of means transport!

    Imo anyone that lives among Mestre and Venice must feel lucky with the trains and other means of transport cause it's easier to move and travel thanks to the great availability of passing trains, trams and buses

      Absolutely! The efficient public transportation system in the Mestre-Venice area is a real advantage for residents and visitors alike. It makes exploring the beautiful region so much more convenient. 🚆🚃🚌

      @@TheTripsterEscape yeah that's why I prefer busy areas with a wide choice of means of transport like trains than zones where transport is limited and with way fewer trains that pass only once per hour

    Aaaa, the memories. :)))
    But, the "chasing-after-train" crowds @ Firenze Santa Maria Novella are still shocking to me.

      "Seriously? Scenes like that happen at Firenze Santa Maria Novella? I had no idea! I definitely need to see this for myself sometime." Thanks for comment!

      @@TheTripsterEscape Oh yes, they do! I supposed Florence train station is a connecting/interchange point to many places, hence, the crowd is madness. We literally had to manoeuvre our way to cut through the long queues of ppl. (p.s. I was feeling a tad claustrophobic, not going to lie. A little anxious, too. Because people are 'pushing' their way through the sea of people, and you don't wanna miss your train(s). Sooooo ...)
      Oh, and the flocks of ppl having their eyes glued to the timetable monitor/screen are like how the brokers look like at the trading floor? Hehe I don't know, but tht was my exact first thought 😂🤭 sowwie

    Try to give more information on your video. Like, how easy it is to find the train station, how long it takes to reach the island. how early and late the trains run. Tell us a little more please!! How long does it take from where you disembark to walk to San Marco square.

    • @TheTripsterEscape
      @TheTripsterEscape  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sure, I'd be happy to add more information to my video. Thank you for your suggestion. To answer your questions:
      1. Finding the train station is easy as it is well-connected and located in the city center.
      2.The train ride to the island takes approximately 20 minutes.
      3.Trains run frequently from early morning until late at night.
      4.It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk from the train station to San Marco Square.
      I hope this additional information is helpful. Thank you for watching my video!

    I'll be visiting in May...Milan Centrale to Mestre with a train change. Is 6 minutes enough to find the platform for a first timer to not miss the connecting/local train that leads into San Lucia?

      6 minutes should be enough to change to another train. Even if you don't make it, don't worry because the trains to St. Lucia departure often

      I'm sorry but I'm not sure so I don't want to mislead you. Ask the staff at the train station, they will answer you and then you will know for sure. Enjoy your stay in Venice!

    Hi, I have bought a train ticket for 10-June-2023 from Venezia S. Lucia to Venezia Mestre (Train: Regionale Veloce 3987) and from Venezia Mestre to Milano Centrale (Train: Frecciarossa 9758). In Venezia Mestre stop, I only have 10 minutes to get on the 9758 train, do you know if the train will be on same platform and is 10 mins enough for the train? Thank you, appreciate if you can provide some advice.

    • @TheTripsterEscape
      @TheTripsterEscape  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, I don't know if these trains stop at the same platform. However, 10 minutes is enough time to change trains even if they don't stop at the same platform. Safe travels and I hope you have a great journey!
