Hi Nick . I think the decking area along the water side will be a very popular area for fans at any time of the year .The excellent views across the mersey. Watching your videos is an excellent opportunity for all Evertonians to keep up to date with the building of our new home . I keep thinking of how it will look on a match day .The Night games with all the stadium lit up Blue .. 💙💙💙.
I agree with all of that, except the decking being popular at any time of year - when there’s a winter storm battering the coast with 60mph winds, the decking definitely won’t be popular
I get your sentiments but apart from Dunc's comment, I should point out that the anyone on the decking will not be able to see the Mersey Estuary. The top of the Mersey Wall is at 8.5m above sea level, the West Quay is at 6.6m above sea level and the decking area is at about 5.6m above sea level. To see any of the Mersey, one would have to be up the West Terrace and depending on a person's height, somewhere between the first and second broad terrace platforms.
Nick, many thanks for the detailed look around even if I feel that I owe the general audience an apology for inducing another bout of Nick's "Where's Wally?" footage. Just for the record, I did state that the concrete flags being replaced were around the lights on the Mezzanine. Some PoI's: 1) As you focused a while on the Composite Decking, I'd like to point out something about which I suspect most people are unaware: a) Pause the video at 10:14 mins, and you will see that the decked area is not horizontal along it's entire length. The very southern end (mirrored at the northern end) is actually sloping upwards, like the Ski-ramp on an Aircraft Carrier, so that disabled fans can access the area. b) The black-metal stilts and frames upon which the composite is laid are taller on the concrete at the ends so as to provide this slope finish. It would not be ideal to have the 'planks' laid at 90d to the current format axis as the potential for trip hazards would be greater. c) If you also look closely at the Lower Promenade terracing, just behind the decking at this timestamp, you will see that they are actually tapered off with a downward slope too, as is the case with the concourse water-effect concrete flags above the Lower Promenade terrace. The central area of the water-effect flags in front of the main West Terrace is horizontal but higher than the old Dock Wall Granite Coping Stones, so the water-effect flags are laid on a shallow slope down to those curved Old Dock Walls. You can see the slope if you look at the bottom rise of the bottom terrace and it is more noticeable across the face of the North and South Terrace Tunnels. And at 10:14 mins in particular d) And at 10:14 mins in particular, even if you can't see the edges clearly that demonstrate the slopes on the different levels, it's made even clearer by the fact that the water used for hosing down the flags in and under the mezzanine at the southern Terracing tunnel, is draining down the slope at a diagonal across the water-effect flags to the south end of the Lower Promenade and drops down into a gulley (with a small bollard inserted into it) before dropping to the lowest concrete level of the Lower Promenade, under the Decking black-metal supports, before then dropping off the edging of the Seacant wall into the Water Channel. 2) @ 22:02 mins, the objects I'd previously referenced just north of the southern Tower Gates have been moved. But in their place are a large quantity of Internal Works Cherry-Pickers that had been collated there to put on the collection lorry sitting on the East Plaza. If ever you wanted a statement of how the internal Works have progressed, this must be a major pointer. LoR are sending away some of the essential leased equipment.
The flats you are looking for can be seen at 28.04 in the distance. You can see Leasowe lighthouse and The Leasowe Castle hotel a couple of seconds earlier just below the top of the screen. The flats you mentioned are The Tower in Liscard Nick. Great video once again mate. When the stadium is finished maybe you could do flight across the Mersey the The Flight of the Valkyrie, like you did earlier in the build?
Hi Nick, it would be great for Everton to announce when they will light the exterior of the stadium for the first time. The ' eggy' will be the spot to witness it. Great vids mate
I think Nick, the North West Corner raised fencing is primarily to stop the sea winds from being funneled down the tunnel, I dont think it's to protect players getting off the buses.

They went right through the middle of the shot like that basketball/gorilla costume video 😂 Great video Nick, as ever. Do the new stadium tours have a start date yet, do we know?
Hi Nick, loving your videos! Been noticing a lot gaps and holes on the top of the original dock walls. Do you know if and how they will be filling these to level them up with the new paving?

Does anyone know if they will paint the grey concrete walls in the interior bowl blue like in some of the visualisations? IMHO would help with the idea of the blue wall and making it more "Everton". Maybe even some images on the larger walls between the South Stand and East/West on the interior
What stand will the players arrive at on match day to enter the stadium? And where will the away fans be allocated ? . Keep up the great work mate videos are amazing 🫡🫡🫡
Yeah was just about to.comment about those panels. I think that one your referring to might be a ventilation panel but the 2 or either side of it looks white whereas the rest of them along the.lwngth of south stand look grey. Could it just be reflection or shade causing them to look different

Is there goung to be the same blue lights on the river mersey side? 3. Is the canal infront officially open to narriwboats or is the plans to open it when the stadium is finished? Any dates ? Vehicles will use northern access road under the north stand overhang. On sunny days, the team buses will turn left just before the north bridge and will drop the players off at the central entrance on the west plaza terrace. The buses will then drive over the south bridge over to the car park between the water channel and the Mersey. Emergency vehicles will use the south access between the south stand and Nelson Dock (they can also use the north).
No, thats not the Chappelhill road flats. Those flats youre looking at would be Wallasey/ Liscard possibly. Theres no church anywhere near the flats on Chappelhill Road. From the angle yiu're looking at it, the flats in question would be somewhere behind Bidston Hill windmill.
Thanks for the effort, Nick. As others have already commented, those flats you found were not the right ones 😪 Ah well, good try mate!! You did make me laugh when you started on your way to Birkenhead.
Are we going to have electronic advertising running across the middle of the stands as well as pitch side in the same way Tottenham have at their stadium?
Hi Nick, great video as always. Thank you. Do you know anything about the ‘Media Centre’ I can see where it is behind the West Stand but what does the building consist of? and do they, the media have to ‘brave the weather’ every time to walk to the stadium or do they have facilities inside the stadium. Also will we be having ‘bat lights’. 👍
It’s not a media centre, it’s the Distribution Network Operators Compound (DNOC) - electricity, internet, etc. The TV broadcaster will connect to it but the TV presenters and pundits won’t be anywhere near the DNOC, they’ll be in the TV studio in the executive box in the north west corner of the stadium, above the vehicle access tunnel 👍🏻
Dunc has given you an accurate reply re the DNOC and TV Studio but I would add the following: The TV Commentators will be on the Main TV Platform at the front of the upper tier of the West Stand (focused on in this video) and the Press Box is right up at the top two rows of the central part of the Upper Tier of the West Stand. The Media have totally separate facilities for catering and bathrooms within the West Stand Hospitality areas.
Where do the coaches drop off the players ? I'm assuming the coaches pass the north stand then go into the tunnel at the west stand to drop them off. But where to after that ?
