"That spot right there" @ 29:37 ... if only the wing were attached to something, you know maybe on a hinge that could easily lift out of the way! LoL... only funny because it's totally something I'd do.
For the mirror tight areas... used a dremel with a foam pad to get that OG standard. Works on the door handle well as well. I do all of these tight areas first, then work over the rest of the car.
Hey Matt, glad it came out so good I always look forward to new episodes. Did install Swiss tracks about 10 days ago really enjoying it find myself walking out in the garage a lot more just to look at it. When I ordered the floor I messed up Jeff really did me a solid and help me out couldn’t have been happier so thanks and stay safe 👍
Matt, one of your best videos to date regarding paint correction, video quality, narration and editing. Well done 👍🏻. Question: Did you measure paint/ clear depth prior to and following correction to see impact of the work?
Man your set-up us amazing. I would love to have one of those lifts. It looks like it makes jobs like this much more enjoyable and easier on your back for sure. Awesome car too btw but of course you already know that.
Off topic, but wondering if you're going to return to your lawn treatment series? I enjoy your auto related vids, but you also do an amazing job with your HVAC, home theater & other nonauto vids.
This was maybe the most beautiful video on polishing I’ve seen. This car looks amazing. Great job picking up all the angles. Matt are you going to coat this with CSL or ultra?
The fronts probably have a few layers of protection, (beadmaker , etc) and polishing them would most certainly remove that protective coating. Edit: I'm an idiot for thinking he would've put coatings on before polishing lol, They might have some OE coating for reflectivity or maybe a tint I'm not sure
Most (if not all anymore) headlights have some sort of factory applied UV protective coating on them - so if you hit them too hard then you remove that coating, and the headlights tend to deteriorate (foggy and yellowing lenses, etc.) much faster. So it's better to stay away from polishing them too hard unless they're really beat up and need it.
Well.........unless the car is being prepared for a car show or you’re going to hang it on a wall inside your home, I don’t get it! It’s a car.........meant to be driven and depreciate.......and not worry about every soon-to-be stone chip or ding. I personally don’t see any benefit to spending this amount of time making it look pristine. It won’t stay that way for long. I’d rather put all by car time into driving it and enjoying the experience...........which is exactly what I do with my Porsche 911 Carrera...........every single day! P.S. And, yes........your GT4 looks gorgeous.
it's funny, what bothers me the most about a new car are the things you can't protect. Like that first mini-chip the windshield gets, and it is always right in the driver's line of sight! LOL!
Paint is just put on cars to stop the sheet metal from corrosion / rust. Then they just slap different colors on it to suit the average consumer. I disrespect my paint just use a wet towel and wipe the dirt off. My car looks fine, I use a touch up paint that is cream and not white but it doesn't matter because I only use it to prevent rust on the rock chips. Sorry to be negative.
Also if you polish too much you break through the clear coat and begins to sun fade, then your car will look like a shitbox farm ute. If I owned a luxury car I would for sure not polish it.
Damn i need those cordless polishers in my arsenal!😎Also why didn't you just open the hatch to polish that little spot on the quarter panel??THAT was the rookie mistake!🤣
Avdi Jashari it has a factory coating that protects against uv rays. If u polish headlights you will remove the coating and headlights will yellow and fog from oxidation extremely quick.
MF Cutting pad on new paint? Clueless. Plus you move the da way too fast over the panels. Slower passes with less aggressive pad is far more effective with megs MF Da system.
Its is strange........the more you progress with the production planning and resources the less I enjoy it. The early raw days are the best, need to not lose that. Still enjoy however, just not as much.
Your very weird! You buy new cars so you can polish the paint and coat the paint and clean and coat the wheels? Drive the car and after a few years sell it and buy a new car already. You need some serious counseling. It is a car and will get road wear and some Mom van will park too close and kids will open their door-- Yellow rags are better than white rags….. it is just a mass produced Sports car. You should work for classic car owners that enter their cars in concours competition. But this is just a Porsche Cayman - sprayed by machines….

"good enough garage" .. brilliant
This color is incredible. Even better with the paint correction.
Can't wait to see the final product
This is legendary stuff Matt! Massively awesome job on the work! 11/10 man!
The real test is finding a front row parking spot at Walmart with that perfect paint.
Open the hatch to get that spot!!
For the mirror tight areas... used a dremel with a foam pad to get that OG standard. Works on the door handle well as well. I do all of these tight areas first, then work over the rest of the car.
Loving the GT4 content, keep em coming!
This guy is OBSESSED with his car 😂 in a very good way
I don’t have allot time to come and watch but I always try and quickly click and like your vids. Please always keep it up. Content is fire
Amazing to see the GT3RS and the GT4 standing together that's when you know you've made it

Indeed video was beautifully done
Colour looks insane, keep it up
The endless pursuit of improvement is when you want to polish a perfectly shiny new car.
Man your set-up us amazing. I would love to have one of those lifts. It looks like it makes jobs like this much more enjoyable and easier on your back for sure. Awesome car too btw but of course you already know that.
Big jump in production value in this series.... Man we have come a long way from original 911 from the old house 👍
Was there an episode 4 of this set? I can’t seem to find it and now I am forcing myself to watch E5
Off topic, but wondering if you're going to return to your lawn treatment series? I enjoy your auto related vids, but you also do an amazing job with your HVAC, home theater & other nonauto vids.

fuck yeah my yellow rupes wool pads just came in and I was nervous it would be too deep of a cut but now im confident!
Those wheels that came on the GT4 are beautiful
I’d normally be into this kind of nerd-level content. But Jesus, I can’t bear listening to this guy’s breathing! Am I the only one..?
Slapped some PPF on my GT4 and then flogged it in the mountains...4,000 miles so far. Also you should paint those nasty rusted hubs...
29.03 MATT OPEN THE TRUNK TO GET UNDER THE WING!!!
I was going to comment the same thing lol
That thing is going to be flawless!
How is TJ Hunt's garage setup coming? Is that still going to happen?
Should do a walk around once you're finished so we can all see the entire car in one frame
Gosh, that's magic!!
What type of protection would you be inclined to apply to your plastic trim
Sounds kinda gimmicky, but CeraKote trim wipes work extremely well, and last a VERY long time. Even with many washes
I feel like ceramic coating would work, but am a novice detailer
@@hanercat Thanks for the info
Use gloss meter it will help you alot in finishing job much faster.
Gloss meters are terribly inaccurate. I find them not useful.
Matt do you polish the rear taillights.
Why can the rear lenses be polished but the front can not? What steps are done on the front?
The fronts probably have a few layers of protection, (beadmaker , etc) and polishing them would most certainly remove that protective coating.

HI MATT WONDERING WHATS IN THE CLEAR / WHITE PRESALL BOTTLE YOUR USING ON THE WING AFTER POLISHING
CarPro Eraser

Great video, beautiful car, but sometimes I want to see your POV, that way if I go and do it myself I kinda get what I’m
Supposed to see.

@@ObsessedGarage cheers for the reply! I did enjoy the video, I was kinda trolling but my car is only $5k
I miss the days of it being just him without a crew and such.
He would even reply to comments and questions on the videos.
I read every single comment and reply less often to keep my sanity.
@@tonysrares5321 I know. Meant more of the solo days that made things feel more “homemade.” I understand one must develop their business.

The only way to watch Matt is at 1.25x speed. Then he operates at “normal” speed.
What’s the reason to not polish headlights??
Avdi Jashari it has a factory coating that protects against uv rays. If u polish headlights you will remove the coating and headlights will yellow and fog from oxidation extremely quick.
Bingo
How long these coatings typically last?
But after removing the scratches you wont use the car any more?🤔 Because if you will wont scratches come back immediately !?
What are some tips for people picking up a brand new Porsche?
Leave the paint alone and drive the darn car- his hobby is polishing the car and not using it.
Why not stick with collinite instead of coatings
Why only polish the tails and not the head lights?
The headlights have a coating on them from factory.Owners manual even says to not polish the lenses.
In forced rotation can uses microfiber ? Accompaninyg from brazil
It isn’t recommended. The smaller orbit and dig into the paint. I’d use wool.
You start a polisher with fresh compound with the pad pushed onto the paint? Really? Get the polisher running before putting it onto the surface.
What's your preference to drive? GT3 or GT4?
GT3
