Nice first video, would like to hear more about each pokemon, their nature/IVs if you have it, how it plays a role in battle to foreshadow something good or tragic. Would also like more strategy narration, “using Arbok’s intimidate to lower Pidgeotto’s attack (flying is physical in this gen)” things like that, but subscribed for more 🎉
I’ll leave some feedback, take or leave it, doesn’t matter to me, but I’m wanting to give feedback because I think you’re going to make some really good content -I like when strategy is discussed more, “I cycled intimidate on his weezing to lower his attack” give me more! “This cuts his attack by 50%” and now you’re teaching your audience which makes you more valuable -give me some emotion! I watched this video for YOU, when the old man is outside Erika’s gym, “WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!” Make sure I can hear the change in tone and the emotion behind it -Overexplaining the moment can make this more dramatic “there was only a 4% chance to crit, and only 2 of the 16 damage rolls would KO…. What do you know… the high roll crit took him out, which only happens 1% of the time…”
What hold items did you use? And talk about the strategy more, that taught me a lot on other influencers videos and a big reason I kept watching, because I learned more and then understood more -Personify your pokemon so we get attached to them too, tell us what they’ve done to become valuable pokemon because we like emotions
Last thing, you can build the anticipation and the moment “this is the psychic gym, probably going to be the toughest fight of the game since we are weak to them” and then after “I can’t believe we got through Sabrina deathless with a poison team!”
And then I like when they narrate more about the battles, super-effective move, STAB super-effective move, quad-effective/resist, etc. and then I like when they’re narration like “I used gigs drain on cloyster to one shot because although his defense is high… he has abysmal special defense” or “I sent Muk in to absorb an ice beam because of his great special defense” or “Tentacruel is deceptively fast and is able to actually out speed Alakazam who has a base speed of (x)” this way we learn why pokemon are valuable, we get attached to your pokemon more, and we understand the video more and learn at the same time
Thanks so much for the feedback man. I super highly appreciate it since talking is probably the thing I'm always most worried about lol. This will definitely help me work on it!
