Yeh agreed. Sh#ts on specialized service. Still waiting for a reply to an email I sent 2 months ago 😂. A mate of mine was the same with his Aeroad. He’s 6’6 and has the biggest Aeroad they make, his slammed bars are higher them my saddle 😂. Used the new grease. All good. I rang them a few days ago and got them to send me some of it so I can service it myself if the creaking comes back in a year or so.

My creaks started at about 2,500ks. [I've got the Fast Fruit CF SLX 8 version at the 2:45 part of the video] I didn't complain directly to Canyon because I was aware it might happen. Like a lot of people, I checked TH-cam vids for a fix - Clean it, use the two different types of grease provided with the bike, then put electrical tape along the back and front of the seatpost. Seatpost has been fine ever since. I'd question the 1 per cent of users raising issues because there may be a lot of people like me that'll look for a solution online. Love the Aeroad, and I'd agree with Harley about Canyon Australia and their excellent customer service. Before the seatpost issue, I had an issue with the heatset [which I couldn't find a solution for online] and a couple of missing parts not shipped with the bike [or they were and they're lost in my shed]. Canyon Australia were very helpful with the headset, shipped the missing parts free of charge, and when I sent the receipts for the headset fix, they reimbursed me. I ended up using the reimbursement to buy some more gear that was on sale in their Outlet site, so they got the $ back anyway. Very happy overall, and highly recommended.
I had a creaking noise in the seat post on my new Aeroad after 100km of usage. Talked to customer service in Germany and they asked me to ship the bike back in order to be fixed at Canyon’s workshop. After 3 weeks they shipped the bike back and I had the first 60 km ride and everything is good so far. Great customer service.
Yeh it’s a common fox for older bikes out of warranty. Good little hack. Cricket bat 🏏 tape is the best. Super thin and super grippy coz it’s fibreglass tape. Cheers for sharing your expereince
Nice Harley. Just ordered my aero road, canyon said the issue has been fixed since January 2023. They also said it comes equiped with SP0046 aero seat post, not sure if it’s the same seat post you got
Great news Jean. Yeh the problem has been fixed with mine. I've nearly a year ago I got it warrantied and been perfect. Can't wait to go for a ride with you when it gets here.

Get cricket bat tape. It’s super thin and has fibreglass fibres in it. It’s the best. Google it and import it if your country doesn’t have it. Should be cheap From the UK or the closest cricketing nation to yourself
I have the same creaking issue. Already occurred after very few kilometers. Seems that Canyon is waiting for some exchange parts that could solve this issue. Was originally announced for "end of october" ...

Thanks Harley, I had the same problem with mine, as commented on an earlier video of yours. My local mechanic put on a sticky grease, which he normally uses, and that solved the issue for me. I have ridden now about 4000k without a problem. So that lines up with what they told you. Still disappointed with Canyon, as the US service guys that I dealt with back in May did not propose changing the grease as a solution, and the assembly instructions are very clear that you shall only use the thin white stuff that they put in the box and that is quite useless. I believe that it is probably washed out when you wash the bike and get some water and soap down the seat post. Apart I doubt that it is less than 1% that have the issue and they could put out at least a clear video of how to assemble and grease the seat post, as they made the mistake in the first place of putting the wrong grease into the box. Anyhow, I am very happy with the bike, very fast on the flats and downhill and very planted, confidence inspiring when going at high speeds. The one problem that I still have and that is more down to Shimano Ultegra than Canyon, is that the breaks are squealing after they have got a little hot. Not during the braking, but when released, some seconds later it starts without me touching the breaks. If anybody has a solution, pls. let me know. Cheers, Eckhard

You’ve gotta click the “notify me” button. When the stock comes available they check the the “notify me” buyers first. If they do t sell them to the notify you see them as available on the website. Took me a year for what I wanted.
I setup website watchers (chrome plugin) to monitor certain pages and alert me when there is a change in content, sometimes, down to the particular section of the website. Many others have this running as well so you're going to have to be quick in going through the ordering process. You might be able to add it to your cart but by the time you're done, it's already out of stock. This was my experience and I eventually gave up and went with a Colnago Concept. I've always wondered if I would get my hands on an aeroad one day as they look like one helluva bike. Goodluck and don't give up (like me!)

i used the electrical tape solution when my seatpost started creaking. never creaked again after that.

Had the same problem, sent the bike back, got the bike after a month, nothing has changed despite a new seatpost. Need to try the electrical tape

It was horrible. If you check the earlier vids you can see. I was getting laughed at in the group rides. Horrific :) they fixed it though right away
