    I can't count the number of videos and resources that I have watched as I enter the homeschooling world for my kindergartener. I LOVED everything you shared!

    We are doing letters and numbers with my son right now and he loves it! We added the Mathematical Reasoning workbook for some extra math. ☺️ The Pooh literature study looks great.

    The amount of videos I’ve been watching for my soon to be kindergartener and I also will have a 4 and 2.5 year old and I literally could cry in relief from this video and see u have posted more after this 🙌

    We just finished primer with Pooh for our preK year. It’s so sweet and so fun. The additional book list is so so good so check out some of those too. We really loved it!

    You are a real one for sharing the treasure hunt ! I’ve never heard of that but I’ll try it for my son .. I’m trying everything I can for him to understand blending since he has known his letter sounds for a very long time and I know he will grasp it at his own time .. I’m really excited to add this into our new year .. and you can’t beat free!

    This was probably one of the most helpful k5 videos. There were several curriculums I was unfamiliar with and will look at later today. Thanks for a concise, helpful video!

    Them looking at pictures to help them guess is utilized in most curriculums. Obviously it’s beneficial and shouldn’t be removed from the curriculum

    Aww, kindergarten already!! We are using that Morning Binder now and loving it. I definitely want to do some study of Winnie the Pooh in the future...I have a Spanish copy of the first book in the series but to be honest it still intimidates me...haha. Gotta level up my own Spanish skills first... That Treasure Hunt Reading program is quite a find! Very impressive, especially for a free product!

      I’ve actually never read the Winnie the Pooh collection so I’m looking forward to it! The little projects that A Year of Learning have to go along with it are super sweet. Yes! I thought Treasure Hunt Reading was a gem of a find for free, I’m looking forward to adding that in when he is ready for it, I wanted to make sure to share it for those who need something like that and are on a tight budget. I also am so happy with what we are doing that it’s so nice to not have to get something new yet, we can just continue doing what we are doing.

      It looks so sweet! I’m excited to be able to use it with my two little ones! Lisa the creator, has such cute resources all about beauty, slowing down, and learning together.

    See I was the complete opposite when choosing my soon to be kindergarteners curriculum- there are so many joy filled options now, and I felt like anything I chose I'd be making her miss out on the rest! Primer With Pooh was at the top of my list as well 💛 what a lovely curriculum.

      Yes! There are so many amazing curriculums out there! I know it can be really overwhelming trying to choose. Curriculum FOMO is a real thing. She won’t be missing out, regardless. Try to focus in on what kinds of learning she likes, also keep it simple and try not to overwhelm her or yourself. I’m sure whichever program you choose will be wonderful and joyful! You got this!

    We have been doing treasure hunt reading for about 3 weeks now and we are almost at the end of the 1st journey and my little boy loves it and asks for it everyday. I just need to find something similar for maths. X

    Do you feel there is enough practice in the Handwriting W/out Tears. We are in the purple book. Would you recommend adding a second writing curriculum? I did purchase the blank sheets. Should I use those as well?

      We haven’t tried it out yet, we aren’t quite at that point yet. Right now I’m planning on just adding it in on the side of Ready to Read once he gets there. I’ll definitely be updating when we have used it

    Do you do your own binding? I’m a little intimidated by getting a binding machine. 😅

    • @theselittlesprouts
      @theselittlesprouts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! I received a binding machine for a Christmas gift this year and I love it. I have a wire binding machine. Definitely worth the extra money over a comb binding machine in my opinion

    How did you bind the Prinda book so beautifully?

    • @theselittlesprouts
      @theselittlesprouts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I printed it and used my wire binding machine. I have a video I made recently on how I print and bind curriculum if that would help you!

    Do you have a recommendation for color printer. I have a cannon Ink is so expensive for color printers. Wondering if another printer all together would be cheaper.

    • @theselittlesprouts
      @theselittlesprouts  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not have a recommendation for you unfortunately. I have an older Hp printer and I have an ink subscription through HP Instant Ink, which I love and would not be able to do all the printing I do without it. But I would love to get some kind of tank printer someday

      I got an ecotank. It's was $350. But it came with enough ink for 6000 pages. The ink itself that it would take to print that much in a cheaper printer would cost more than that!

    How did your print /bind the prenda material like that?

    • @theselittlesprouts
      @theselittlesprouts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I printed each of the journeys and used my binding machine to bind them in to three different books. I printed the cover three times. I think I’m going to to do a how I bind curriculum video soon, many have asked me questions about binding.

    Hello, how did you find Treasure Hunt Reading?
    I’m looking for a reading curriculum for a struggling learner. He takes a long time to catch onto a concept (took a year and half to learn alphabet and sounds)
    Did you supplement with Treasure Hunt Reading? Is it also a good course for someone (myself who wasn’t taught reading with phonics in public school)?
    Thanks

      If you follow the link in the video description it will take you to the website and then you want to scroll down until you see the how to get started steps and there is a link to click download book. There is also an Amazon option now too!
      We used Treasure Hunt for part of the year and I think it’s a well done program, but my son either wasn’t quite ready for it or it just wasn’t the right method for him. But I have considered picking it back up now or trying it with my next child when she is ready. By the end of it they should be at about a third grade reading level or more. Also join the Facebook group! There are lots of extra tips and things there!

      I print and bind curriculum at home. I got a binding machine as a Christmas gift and it’s been the best thing ever. I also have the hp instant ink subscription.

    Hello! I’m actually considering using Treasure Hunt Reading with Ready to Read (or TGTB). Did you end up using Treasure Hunt and Ready to Read together? If so, how did it go? Thank you!

    • @theselittlesprouts
      @theselittlesprouts  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We used some of Treasure Hunt Reading it went pretty good for while, however my son lost interest in it after a while. We actually never ended up using Ready to Read, but I am thinking of it for a possible option for my younger child when she is ready. I am pretty sure the reason had to do with budget reasons at the time.

    • @ashleymorgan8828
      @ashleymorgan8828 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I understand! My son gets bored with curriculum easily- I have to switch things up. I was kind of thinking of going back and forth between Treasure Hunt Reading and RTR. We’ll see how it goes!
      RTR is pricey- a lot of the kindergarten reading programs are so expensive! That’s what makes me nervous about choosing one- I feel like I’ll be stuck even if we don’t like it. I guess at least with RTR, I can just buy the first book and see how it goes. And I love that Treasure Hunt Reading is free!
      Thank you for this video and for getting back to me!
