Thanks for the video. But we like to work like a gentleman. Take out the reservoir, and unsnap and remove the upper fan shroud. Then it's much easier to get at. If you change the thermostat while you're at it (also uses an 'o' ring) you can fill up the pump with antifreeze through the hole. This way it woun't scream until the thermostat opens. Thanks again.
Awesome video and thanks for making it, I will be tackling this project this coming weekend on my wife's mountaineer, I was wondering how did you realize it was the water pump? My wife's car is/was leaking and when I went to check all I found was that it was leaking from the oil pan gasket but noticed a thin small trai of coolentl coming from behind the lower pulley, is that how you noticed also?
It was a small leak from the weep hole on the water pump. And honestly it was the one part of the cooling system that hasn't been replaced (on my third radiator).

Mine was leaking out of the bottom weep hole.
