    More potatoes than dirt mate. Very excellent harvest.
    We get about 10 potatoes from one & it looks like your getting 20 potatoes per one planted. 👍

      I paid $ 20 for 1 pound which was 6 potatoes and used LAZYDOGFARM promo code which helped with shipping and I stored most of my harvest in the fridge to plant this year I have enough seed potatoes from my harvest that I won't need to order any more I just replant my own so for me it was worth the $ 20 bucks because I can keep growing my own from just one purchase , in the 2024 catalog I just received 1 pound of organic Sarpo Mira (6) potatoes is only $19.99 thanks for watching 👍

      Here in England, we consider Sarpo Mira a "main crop" potato. So, they're used throughout the winter. They make a nice roast potato to go with Sunday lunch.
      I bought a 2 kg (about 4.5 lbs) bag of Sarpo Mira seed potatoes and planted 2 tubers in each 30 litre container. That gave me 10 containers. I expect that will give me enough for winter plus enough egg-sized ones to use as seed potatoes next year.
      They do like an occasional dressing of blood, fish and bone meal or potato fertiliser granules as they'll quickly use any nutrients in the compost.

      Understandable as you probably don't speak Hungarian. They are Hungarian, developed by Dr.I Sárvári. The first three letters of his surname and "PO" from potato give the breed their name. Just giving credit where credit is due. From an Irish man who knows his spuds.

    • @ApiaryManager
      @ApiaryManager 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. Sowing potatoes in the ground is the traditional way to grow them. However, they do well in 30 litre containers.
      This year, I have 10 first earlies (International Kidney), 10 second earlies (Charlotte) and 10 main crop (Sarpo Mira) all in 30 litre containers. I put 2 main crop seed potatoes in each container and 4 first-early or second-early seed potatoes in each container and mixed in blood, fish and bone meal. They grow very well this way. The main advantage is that they are so much easier to harvest this way than growing them in the ground (especially because you don't stick a fork through them when digging them up). I urge you to try it.
