The best part was bowlers, especially those that also are batsman like Kallis, were clearly conflicted, whether to marvel at the shots or sledge him. But the disappointing part was no one from SA seemed to congratulate him for this feat when he was walking away after getting got out.

He was simply one of the best those days. I remember watching this match sitting in Bangalore. we all were dumbfounded...this man kept hitting till the end.
Rahul Dravid couldn't play well on that day..... Dravid was the man who always fought well on South African bouncy tracks along with Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar had no Rahul Dravid on that day..... But Virendra Sehwag played with lot of confidence with Sachin Tendulkar playing terrific shots at the other end.. Sachin's presence helped Sehwag to play his shots with confidence. Sehwag didn't have great technique, but he always played well within his limits. He scored 319, 309 & 293 (Test) with his limited technique & also scored 219 (ODI) which clearly shows that he was a player of his own kind. Whoever complained about his footwork should learn to appreciate the runs he scored.... Sehwag was a special man.....!!

I remember that day when I came back and was watching highlights of the match where sehwag scored a century thinking that it's Tendulkar and I was happily conversing with mom about the century.
