This can be made simpler by, for instance: import camera 1all footage, select all, under inspector give camera number 1, and so forth. Don't have to do each clip. But for me the sync using audio never works properly because not all cams are getting the same audio. I use Tentacle sync on all cams (I'm editing a 7-cam cerymony now). Then in Resolve all I have to do is add camera numbers as described above. After that make multicam using timecode, not audio. Resolve takes literally ONE or TWO seconds to create multicam sequence. Each camera footage will be on its own layer. I spent the money to get 6 Tentacle sync (I split and send the tc to multiple cams from one unit) and it saves me hours and days trying to sync using other means.
Awesome thanks I'll try that. I'll prob get tentacle at some point. Just not this year yet. Appreciate it though. Didn't know you could rename them under inspector tab.
Thank you for the video, it will help me in future multicam projects.
Thanks for this great tip to sync in Davinci Resolve!!!

@nationstudiosphotovideo Sorry, not inspector tab, Metadata tab. There you can give camera number to multiple clips at the same time.
