I just bought the new 16 inch MacBook Pro M1 Max thinking it would be the best laptop ever, but I was slightly let down. It's just too heavy in my opinion. I keep finding myself missing my old 15" Retina MacBook Pro, for the keyboard, display, trackpad, and overall build. The new 16" screen notch drives me insane as well, with half of my menu bar icons covered and the only way to access them is by using my second monitor. But even still, it is fast as hell which I love.
I've just bought my first Apple, a 14' M1 Pro. I got it a few cents cheaper as it was marked as an opened box and without any visual usage marks. It had 3 cycles though. Is there anything you can recommend me to check or to take a detailed look at except the visual expection, keyboard and trackpad testing? Any interesting software than I can run, like diagnostics? Thank you in advance!
I needed to replace my 2013 Macbook Air (4GB/128) because the USB-A ports had gotten intermittant. The screen, 16GB of RAM, and 512 GB SSD were what pushed me towards the 14” - I specced out the M2 Macbook Air and with the same specs the price wasn’t too far off just getting the 14”, and you can’t make the screen on the M2 better, so it was a no brainer for me.
@@digital4282 absolutely, the slimness and the colors of the air are very tempting but the 14” isn’t unwieldy by any means and just does everything better and the screen itself is almost worth the extra price by itself.

I ultimately chose the base midnight m2 air over the m1pro as a university student. I do keep my laptops for a while, and I'm able to make program some IOS mock applications, mid-level video editing, business related inquires etc. Yes, I am aware of the SSD issue but it's blown out of proportion, although I wish Apple didn't make this cost cutting move. Sometimes though, I do wish I upgraded to 16GB ram but alas, I am a proud first time MacBook owner :)
I think I'm gonna go with the m1 pro due to the just the fact that the base comes with 16gb ram and 512gb storage (which should be the standard for todays computers). All the other features become like this sweet bonus. The weight is literally the main appeal to the air, I just wish apple made the ram/storage better price to value.
That's why I didn't pay full price for those specs by a long shot. I let someone else do that for me and I bought secondhand no problem. I'll be damned if I let Apple get over on me on what should be standard specs with no way to even upgrade. I'll let others get ripped off though.
If the Air came with 16GB RAM at regular price, it would have been an instant buy for me. I went from M1 Air to M1 Pro and it made my backpack noticeably heavier than I'd like. Very happy with everything else about the M1 Pro though
For me, knowing I needed at least 512GB storage and 16GB RAM - specking the MBA up to that point was basically the exact same cost as the MBP on sale. No brainer. I LOVE the 14” base model MBP.
I have an M1 MBA and I've been trying to find an excuse to upgrade, but I can't. First, I still can't decide between these two devices, but if I had to I keep leaning toward the M2 Air, and then the only REAL improvement I'd see in upgrading is magsafe, which would be a big deal to open up another port, but not enough to justify the money to upgrade. So every time I end up just sticking with the M1 Air. I bought it to be a secondary computer, and it's become my primary one.
I went for the 14” MBP @$1600. The screen was the tipping point. Add the Vivid extension and it’s usable outdoors in broad daylight. A little heavier than I would prefer but it does have everything.
The extra weight of the Pro vs the Air doesn't matter in your bag. Where it matters is if you're trying to use it on the sofa or on a plane/transit. Carrying an extra pound or using it on your lap while stationary is basically unnoticeable. The real deciding factor here is do you use your PC exclusively for office and browsing and is 250GB of storage enough. If the answer to both is yes, get the Air; if the answer to either is no, get the Pro.
I bought and tried both of these great laptops. Each has everything that one could want in a laptop, except the one thing that would make it the perfect laptop. Ironically, or perhaps not, each has that one thing the other lacks. The M1 MBP 14 has that XDR miniLED display. The M2 Air is light and easy to carry. It's the Goldilocks paradox.
all you ppl who think the M2 Air is "lighter & easier to carry" the M2 air is 3.3 lbs vs just 3.5 for the 14" pro. That's point .2 lbs. difference. Basically SAME! SMH
I grabbed the M1 MacBook Air over a year ago, and got it for less than 999. It has been fantastic, and I have no plans to upgrade any time soon. I feel the M1 Air is by far the best amount of computer for the money. Especially if you can get one on offer.
I got a 14inch MBP about a month ago, I don't think the fans have ever spun. I exported high resolution pictures with colour grading, about 50 photos at the same time, edited and exported 4k videos but never heard the fans spin and also never felt the Mac to get hot, warm sometimes but not hot.
I got both the M2 Air and the 16 inch M1 Pro. The 16 is my main workstation while the air is the travel/mobility laptop. Very expensive operation overall (about €4000) but I feel it's worth is as an investment for my productivity
@@danieldev514 im not trying to flex I'm not rich at all lol, I just like to work on a big screen.. if they made a cheap ass 16 inch MacBook Air without all that power, that would be perfect for me
@@chromaticvisuelle yeah and? Everything is relative, I have pretty much already repaid the money I spent by working twice as fast and nicely 😂 you guys in these comments seem like you don’t have idea of what an investment is and why these machines have this price.. they aren’t toys they are fixed assets to make other money
Personally I think the 16in MBP is my favorite option. I love larger screens and the better hardware plus the extra ports are very nice. Second choice would be the 14in MBP thanks to it's similar benefits besides the larger screen. I also would not call the MBP screen the best screen in any laptop but it's in the top 5 for sure.
I purchased a 16” M1 Pro last year, and its power leaves me wanting for nothing. No matter how much I throw at it, it handles tasks with ease. And yet, I find myself lusting for a thinner, lighter MacBook Air.
I'm looking forward to seeing what an M2 16" will be like, possibly coming/announced at the end of the month? If the prices come down more on the M1 16", will the M2 be enough to make me want to buy that?
@@gregstillman5197 If the performance gains follow what we’re seeing with the a15 versus a16 chips, I wouldn’t expect too drastic of a difference. I suppose the number of cores will be the biggest factor.
Sorry but the m1 air is the best for most people. It is pretty simple, the price is just too good. If you are a content creator, yeah the 14 or the 16 inch pro are truly the best.
IMO, the base M2 Air is one thing. But I feel like if you need to upgrade anything about it, storage, ram or even both... at that point you might as well get the Pro since it's on sale all the time.
Yeah but you didn't mention that you got 16GB ram in the base 14inch which is really important for any workflow bigger than browsing. I had 8GB M1 Macbook pro and had a lot memory pressure issues.
Migrated from the 14" Pro to the M2 Air. Number of days i miss the performance, ports or screen of the 14" Pro: Zero. Number of days i appriciate the smaller form factor M2 Air: Every Single Day.
The main deciding factor for me and numerous coworkers has been the screen. If you want the awesome screen, you get the pro. Very few people in daily office use can tell the performance difference but IMMEDIATELY notice the screen. For those using a dock with the screen closed, M2 Air all day.
just went from a M1air to a M1pro14. The M1air was good!, but the M1pro14 is awesome!! The display, just incredible. The speakers, big upgrade. I went for the M1pro with 16/512 since I needed more memory & space. A M2air with 16/512 (in my contry...) is veeery close to the baseline M1pro14.. And with a 20% mastercard discount, it became within reatch :) My conclution, the baseline M1Pro14, is STILL(!) the all in one best laptop on the market. A refresh is surely coming.. but I dont care.
When my 12" MBA issues rendered it unuseable I switched to a Huawei 14". It was pretty good till the software stopped updating. So now I have an M2 MBA. Since I have not had a decent keyboard on a laptop for at least 8 years - I would have to say my favorite feature of the M2 MBA is how beautiful it is to type on. Makes me want to comment more often - like now... Of course - the trackpad/screen/speed/form factor/etc - does not hurt either (I thought hard on getting the Pro as well - just didn't need the extra performance & cost & weight)
Budget has to be my primary concern. Portability is second so I'm getting the air... it checks off my 2 most important/desirable things... Thanks for your assessment.
I actually went with maxed out air m2. 24gb 1tb storage and 10GPU. It comes to the same price as the base model pro but the base model pro only have 16gb of ram. Bear in mind, if you are gaming they are sharing the VRAM with the unified memory. Having 24gb of ram is very useful. My day to day ram usage is already hovering around 16gb to 18gb. You definitely could use more ram,
I am using MacBook Air M1 late 2020 Basemodel and I never ran out of ram or even storage . As a student It is capable of the light video editing !!! I would say for performance m1 and m2 are very similar !!! but if you want the screen upgrade , ports and you can send extra bucks on it . I would suggest to go with the M1 pro !!
I don't mind carrying half a kilo more in my backpack, so the M1 Pro is my pick as all the positives outweigh the $300 price differential for a base chip model with 16gb Ram and 1TB sdd. And whichever one you buy, I would definitely not go below 16gb Ram and 1TB sdd.
I’m actually facing this struggle 😕, part of me knows I will be fine with the Air but it being so close to the pro with the ports and better screen is super tempting, then again those $500 dollars do make a difference for me as I could use them for accessories, new AirPods, a monitor, etc…
For the Air, you could always carry a dongle with all the ports you need, but you will still be stuck with the screen. I'd say what it really comes down to is your workflow, how long you're planning on keeping your laptop for, and how often you'll be travelling with it. I've got the M2 base model and I've been loving it!
Go for the pro if you have the money and plan on using it for a long time. Accessories can wait imo. However, if you do think the air will be fine for you, and you upgrade often, then it is the better choice imo.
I purchased an M2 Air for my mother and a 14” Pro for myself on Amazon at 15% off on each product. 😎 Our first Macs ever and I thought I’d treat ourselves to them and they will be very useful for our media and file storage needs and general computing tasks that the iPad Pros just can’t do.
I have the MBP14 and my son has the M2 MBA. I love the size of the M2 MBA, but I do not have a problem at all with the size and portability of the 14". I think the display, sound and added performance is well worth the added size and weight.
Been jumping from one channel to another for M2 reviews. Must admit this review attracted me the most; not because of the content, but the clarity of the English language, in that there wasn’t any accent. Brilliant cover 👏👏
I like how you mentioned the importance of the display, something you always look at. That's why I got the 14-inch Pro. 120hz and the quality of the 14-screen help reduce eye strain for sure. The nicer speakers are also an added bonus.
the best value Mac is the m1 air. its usually 800-900 usd and doesn't have the ssd "issue" that apple created on the m2 air making you spend another 200 to put the speeds back to normal. The m2 chip is also not that much of an upgrade over the m1, its more of an m 1.5. m2 air is significantly more expensive than the m1 air.
easy choice. get the pro. hands down. better screen, ports, battery, cpu, graphics, faster ssd. literally near enough the same price, in some places the m2 air is more. the only air to get is the m1 2nd hand. make sure you get the 16gb model though. the 8gb wheezes soon as you have 5 tabs open.
Have both. One personal and one for work. The Air is so nice to commute and travel with. But the Pro is a beast on hardware and is definitely worth the extra money if you can justify the weight.
(High specced) M2 Air - I already have a powerful desktop machine. The laptop is a secondary device and my focus is on portability but I want it to be able to do a big tasks in a pinch. M1 Pro/Max MBP - The laptop is my everything. Here is where I will do the lot of my work. I feel the somewhat small compromise of portability is worth it for me having uncompromising performance. Base/“MKBHD-config’d” MBA - I don’t quite have or need to spend the budget to consider other options. This will really be great for the price anyway.
Really confusing that the laptops switch sides in the screen showcase B-roll and then in the a-roll shots. I was thinking „damn the blacks on the right screen are nice“ and then when you are talking you show the macbook air on the right and at first i was confused.
I got my M1 Pro 14’ from Best Buy for $1499, was a no brainer because the Air with the same specs is more expensive. Honestly I think the biggest problem with the M2 is the price hike, if they would’ve kept that $999 sweet spot or even $1099 it would be more attractive.
I just ordered a the MBA M2 after I went to Best Buy and the 14inch Pro M1 just seemed massive in comparison. I do some content creation, but if it takes a few extra minutes to render some video I will live. The MBA just seemed like a leap forward in form design.
The M2 MBA also has the great Midnight color design. The only other laptop that looks nearly as good is the HP Dragonfly Gen 3, but that costs far more.
To someone who is planning to buy one of these, I request you to go for 16 inch model if you have weak eyesight or if you have any issues with your eyesight or if your work involves a lot of reading and typing. I have been using the 14 inch MacBook Pro for almost 6 months now and it is a delight to use. Definitely a better value for money than the MacBook Air. However, I wish I went ahead with the 16 inch MacBook Pro for the screen size and the comfort it provides for reading and writing.
Did exactly what you suggested with the pros/cons list and the score came up too close to call. Ended up going for the Air because having tried both, the Air screen hurts my eyes much less than the better specced Pro screen, especially noticeable in longer sessions. The difference was big enough to make me settle for a less impressive & smaller screen, worse speakers, and no HDMI + right side USB-C ports, all of which I found valuable. The Air portability is amazing though, so all good.
@@LucienDupont Sore dry eyes, like when looking into an aggressive source of light for a long time. I work with (other) computers all day, and I don't get this kind of soreness with all monitors, just the fancy, high-contrast, over-saturated MBP, and some old, crappy blue-light screens.
Luke, you forget one hard fact - after upgrading the Air to 16 GB of RAM and 512 SSD (which is more crucial) you are on the price of MBP which has this in low end model but you ALSO get better screen, ability to connect more than 1 display, more ports, better sound, better processor etc. When M2 MBPs will be introduced, these machines will be a TOTAL no brainer. I think Apple overshot the price of M2 Air. If it would have 512 GB SSD fine, but 256 GB these days in computer? Heck, phones have more.
Luke I have the 2019 MBA and I have unfortunately cooked the heat sink. Nowadays the moment I need access to all it's faculties (it's currently summer where I live), I crank the fans up to 8000 RPM and I use turbo boost switcher and have 0 problem with the fan noise.
You can always take an extra cable to use the magsafe vs USB-C and if you plan on keeping the MacBook for years, every bit of performance today is longevity in the future...
Simple, if you’re gonna spec’d out the m2 air to have 16gb of ram and 512gb ssd might as well throw in the extra to get the M1 pro, the 120hz screen alone makes a better buy.
The M1 Air is a much better value than the M2 Air, so respectfully the questions is wrong. M2 Air is not a good value (compared, because in a vacuum all apply silicon Mac’s are a good value). the M1 and the 14” Pro are extremely good value, that’s where the value question is.
I spent so long looking at and building a Mac mini that I came to the conclusion I don’t need the hassle just to replace a 2014 Mac mini I barely use, a gaming laptop is the clear choice if I’m going to waste my money.
The lack of performance of the M2 would only really be felt in a setting with constant compression, rendering, or compilation pipelines. My M2 air has been handling everything I’ve thrown at it wonderfully.
next year is almost there I will wait foer the 2023 macbook to see what up because im really confuse i dont know wich one to pick lol nice video tho keep it up
as an ex apple macos technician and a lover of macbooks i can safely say that the 14 inch m1 pro is the best mac i have ever owned. PS: absolutely love your videos they are very soothing.
I will never pay 1600 for a laptop ever again. MacBook Air for me now. I use my truck (iMac) for heavy lifting and my laptop for light workloads and entertainment.
The new M2 Air is awesome and a temping buy, but the 14” MBP M1 Pro is still a dream machine for me. Better design, more screen real estate, better performance, pro-motion display etc.
Great vid as always Luke! I purchased my MBP M1Pro (base) when the other option was the M1 Air. For me whilst the M1 Air was tempting given its crazy figures at launch, I waited to see the new MBP offerings which were rumoured. I'm glad I did, M1 Pro MBP has blown me away with its super solid performance, amazing screen, ports (all of which I use) and its ability to link to my 4K tv is just awesome. I do think you are right though, people really do need to sit and think of their real world use when making a decision between the M2 Air and the MBP M1Pro. I know of a few people who have bought the most expensive MBP M1's and they barely tax its intended capability when an M1 Air would've more than sufficed. Anyways again great vid! Keep 'em coming Luke!
Choices depends on how you think. I would rather pay a little more now and have a laptop that will have a longer life. Only buying for today will usually cost you more if you need more power tomorrow
Luke, please tell me, do you have any dents/pits/micro-holes on you display? I had some on my MacBook Pro 14 (2021) after about 6 months of use. I did recently got my display replaced under warranty. I read that many people experience this despite being so protective with the device and some even had the same thing happened on the replaced display too. Even if not advised, I'm considering putting a film screen protector. What do you think? Thank you!
I travel a lot, portability is crucial for me so I decided for the M2 and is excellent in every aspect of my workflow, even editing audio and video clips.

Nope. 3.3lbs is weight of 15" Air, whereas Macbook Air 13 M2 weight is 2.73lbs. So 0.77lbs the real difference. Also, Pro 14 is significantly chunkier, so its definitely not the same
I purchased a MacBook Pro 16 1 TB from Costco at a discount of $850. The price was close to $1800. It was on sale at a discount of $350 plus $500 credit for orders of $3000 or more.

Like me with my M1 IMac, neither one of us needs to upgrade
I went for the 14” MBP @$1600. The screen was the tipping point. Add the Vivid extension and it’s usable outdoors in broad daylight. A little heavier than I would prefer but it does have everything.
I am jealous at those prices. Here in europe its at least 500$ more
Travel to Asia to buy. I think buying in Japan is cheap and tax free.
Man I just love these comment sections were there aren’t just a bunch of nerdy gamers bashing apple for no reason
What’s your problem with carrying the 14”?
all you ppl who think the M2 Air is "lighter & easier to carry" the M2 air is 3.3 lbs vs just 3.5 for the 14" pro. That's point .2 lbs. difference. Basically SAME! SMH
@@rono33 13’ M2 Air is 2.7 pounds genius
That's really sad. MBP is very fat in modern times unfortunately. Even newest ones with M3 or upcoming M4.
What specs do you have? 8+14 or 10+16? (CPU/GPU)
I got both the M2 Air and the 16 inch M1 Pro. The 16 is my main workstation while the air is the travel/mobility laptop. Very expensive operation overall (about €4000) but I feel it's worth is as an investment for my productivity
That's just stupid, you could've gotten the 14 inch. I know you're just trying to flex but lol
@@danieldev514 im not trying to flex I'm not rich at all lol, I just like to work on a big screen.. if they made a cheap ass 16 inch MacBook Air without all that power, that would be perfect for me
@@JustRolly But spend tons of money on laptops lol
@@chromaticvisuelle yeah and? Everything is relative, I have pretty much already repaid the money I spent by working twice as fast and nicely 😂 you guys in these comments seem like you don’t have idea of what an investment is and why these machines have this price.. they aren’t toys they are fixed assets to make other money
@@JustRolly ngl with respect it was entirely stupid and pointless to buy both MacBooks, just being honest
Let's talk
IMO, the base M2 Air is one thing. But I feel like if you need to upgrade anything about it, storage, ram or even both... at that point you might as well get the Pro since it's on sale all the time.
Yeah but you didn't mention that you got 16GB ram in the base 14inch which is really important for any workflow bigger than browsing. I had 8GB M1 Macbook pro and had a lot memory pressure issues.
I was going to wait for the M2 Pro lineup before pulling the trigger.
Luke, your reviews are in its league of its own “hands down”. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
just went from a M1air to a M1pro14.
Same! With the Best Buy discount, M1 Pro 14" was worth it!
You definitely could use more ram,
hey bro. how does maxed our airm2 suits u
The MacBook Pro 14 is $400 off rn 😅
I’m trying to make my decision for my first mac. I think I’ll wait for the Macbook Pro 14 M2. Thank you for the video. 🙏🏽
I ended up going for the M1 Pro 16 inch (one with more GPU cores). It’s been amazing.
Same here.
Maxed out.
It’ll last until I need another one 5-10 years from now.
M10 by then.
Best decision you made
I purchased an M2 Air for my mother and a 14” Pro for myself on Amazon at 15% off on each product. 😎 Our first Macs ever and I thought I’d treat ourselves to them and they will be very useful for our media and file storage needs and general computing tasks that the iPad Pros just can’t do.
As a M1 Max MacBook Pro user, I really admire the portability of the Air.
I have the MBP14 and my son has the M2 MBA. I love the size of the M2 MBA, but I do not have a problem at all with the size and portability of the 14". I think the display, sound and added performance is well worth the added size and weight.
Your son might envy you
I recently got the base model 14” M1 Pro MacBook Pro when it went on that sale for $1,600. I absolutely love it!
Just bought mine :) it went to $1800 a week or so ago but when it went back done I jumped on it
Been jumping from one channel to another for M2 reviews. Must admit this review attracted me the most; not because of the content, but the clarity of the English language, in that there wasn’t any accent. Brilliant cover 👏👏
silicone wise, if m2 were on N4 rather than N5P, that would make more of a generational difference, but its still 5nm same as the m1 family.
799 on Amazon Prime
@@createpixels where did you read this
@@earnistse4899 pretty sure he’s referencing the Mac book pro m2.
Base M1Pro is the best value hands down, especially if you nab one of those crazy discounts out there.

got m1 air and zero heat great speakers!
easy choice. get the pro. hands down. better screen, ports, battery, cpu, graphics, faster ssd. literally near enough the same price, in some places the m2 air is more. the only air to get is the m1 2nd hand. make sure you get the 16gb model though. the 8gb wheezes soon as you have 5 tabs open.
Wait when did you get it ? I recent say it for 1599? Which is 100 dollars more expensive
I hate that the prices here in europe are so much higher for the same product. How can that be, i would pay way over 600$ more for the same product
I prefer the M1 Air over both of them

Hey Luke can you do like a buying guide for like macs in desktop version like Mac studio and m1 Mac colored one
Let's talk
Nice! Luke adjusted the aspect ratio so the dynamic island doesnt appear on the video
I’m a student so went to with the m2 MBA because realistically all I do is type on word and occasionally do other things on it, I don’t need power.
Great vid, and I just have to say, that shirt was an excellent choice. Seriously lovin it.
Hurts your eyes in what sense?
@@LucienDupont Sore dry eyes, like when looking into an aggressive source of light for a long time. I work with (other) computers all day, and I don't get this kind of soreness with all monitors, just the fancy, high-contrast, over-saturated MBP, and some old, crappy blue-light screens.
Me who loves high refresh rate and is with a very clear decision: "Interesting video, maybe this will help" *watches the whole thing*
I have the m2 air and I love it. However, if they made a 15” air, I’d sell this and buy that immediately.
Bro some of these new camera manuevers are insane
I grabbed a M2 air with 512GB and 10-core CPU with 4 charge cycles off Craigslist for $600. It’s a beast
Luke you should try iPad M1 vs Surface Pro 9 for your next video
Basically:
M1 MBP 14 for professionals
M2 MBA for casual or armature use.
The M1 Air is a much better value than the M2 Air, so respectfully the questions is wrong. M2 Air is not a good value (compared, because in a vacuum all apply silicon Mac’s are a good value). the M1 and the 14” Pro are extremely good value, that’s where the value question is.
Love your videos

I travel a lot and on the run I do PS, LR and other photo editing apps to include Premiere Pro and Davinci. That’s why I go for MBP 14”.
The new M2 Air is awesome and a temping buy, but the 14” MBP M1 Pro is still a dream machine for me. Better design, more screen real estate, better performance, pro-motion display etc.
Regarding power cords I use my 16 inch as a power bank for peripherals. It makes the most sense to me
Great vid as always Luke!
Apple needs to offer a black Pro model. Then we got a deal.
Some of the B roll and A roll shots have the laptops on different sides, making the display comparison a bit confusing without labels.
I'm still watching on a mid 2015 MacBook pro

Luke, please tell me, do you have any dents/pits/micro-holes on you display? I had some on my MacBook Pro 14 (2021) after about 6 months of use. I did recently got my display replaced under warranty. I read that many people experience this despite being so protective with the device and some even had the same thing happened on the replaced display too. Even if not advised, I'm considering putting a film screen protector. What do you think? Thank you!
I travel a lot, portability is crucial for me so I decided for the M2 and is excellent in every aspect of my workflow, even editing audio and video clips.
The 14” Pro is just as portable and way more capable
SMH: all you ppl who think the M2 Air is "lighter & easier to carry" the M2 air is 3.3 lbs vs 3.5 for the 14" pro. That's only point .2 lbs. difference. Basically SAME! SMH
Nope. 3.3lbs is weight of 15" Air, whereas Macbook Air 13 M2 weight is 2.73lbs. So 0.77lbs the real difference. Also, Pro 14 is significantly chunkier, so its definitely not the same
With new Macbooks presumably coming out this month or the next these models will probably get even cheaper very soon.
I purchased a MacBook Pro 16 1 TB from Costco at a discount of $850. The price was close to $1800. It was on sale at a discount of $350 plus $500 credit for orders of $3000 or more.
M1 Air is classic and best value for the money still.
Very straightforward and to the point 🏅 what color is the 14 m1 if you don’t mind asking ?
With the Best Buy discount, M1 Pro 14" is worth for the 16GB/512 Configuration.
Easy choice: Macbook Pro (2021). Why? Better display, sound. 120 Hz, Liquid Retina XDR Display (SDR: 500 nits, HDR: 1000 nits / peak: 1600 nits)
Since I tend to keep my laptops for a few years I went with the M1 MacBook Pro, 16GB ram and 1TB SDD.
Thanks, Luke! 🙏🏼
3 MBP! Your triply blessed, mate.
