- We show how to do a AMSOIL Transmission Flush with 100% synthetic ATF fluid by AMSOIL. It takes three people to perform the procedure one is pouring the ATF fluid into the transmission the other is starting the vehicle and the third person is watching the fluid come out of the transmission at the bottom making sure all the old dirty used ATF fluid is out.

I have a Chevy Cruze Diesel with the Aisin Warner 6 speed transmission. Owned since new, and was never happy with the transmission which seemed to downshift too much. Got the Amsoil aw1 compatible full synthetic fuel saving trans fluid, filled it to proper level by taking the temperature of the fluid to get the correct level. We love the way it shifts, how quiet it is, and how it seems to shift at the correct times now. That original fluid it was filled with was supposed to be lifetime, but at 65,000 miles, it was black and smelled burned. Seems a lot of other Cruze diesel owners experienced the same thing. And everyones fluid was black and burned even at 30,000 miles.

It won't do any harm as long as you get all the flush out however I always do the drain and fill and change the filter and you'll see a huge difference when you do that with Amsoil Signature Series

8:56 all that nice clean fluid pouring out is exactly what I’m trying to avoid. I’d really like it to not cost me an extra hundred dollars or so. But I want to make sure all the old oil is out and completely replaced with the quality amsoil.
Yeah you can actually do a pan drop where you just change what's in the fluid with what's in the pan it will mix with the old fluid and it will shift a lot better that's what I recommend for your first time doing it this is just one example of what you can do if you want to do a complete flush by getting all the old fluid out after you had the Amsoil engine flush in there to help clean it.

Thats essentially what I did on my explorer except I had to do it by myself and drained a couple quarts in an old gallon jug with labeled marks for quarts. Turned it off checked how much came out and refill and so son.

Now my question is, if I need to change the tranny fluid and want to drop the pan to clean up the magnet as well, what’s the order to do this stuff in so I’m not wasting an incredible amount of expensive amsoil?
Oh you would just want to do a pan drop that's what I would recommend you only do the flush if you have multiple people that can help like in the video you need a lot of extra hands so I would just do a basic transmission fluid change by dropping the pan you will see a huge Improvement in shifting speed and driveability and you'll be surprised in the winter how it runs and shifts in the cold that will be the easiest to do and cost-effective still with great performance the fluid will mix with the old fluid and you'll see a huge Improvement.

How many ATF drains and fills at a time do you think is a good bet if I don't want to flush out the ATF on a high mileage motor? And if on medium mileage one?
I go by the color of the fluid but just two or three is fine

Exactly there's an input and an output and then there's a guy up top that pours in the fresh fluid
@@Syntheticoilprotectionno, what I mean is, there is a line that’s circulating that fluid. Thats how you get it to pump out like that. Where’s the other end of it? Couldn’t you attach a hose to the other end as well and have that sitting in a bucket of oil for it to suck back into the transmission instead of someone pouring it in from the top?

Why didn’t you use the Amsoil engine and transmission flush?
Because we didn't think it was necessary.
The trans looked really good and was just redone I think only a few thousand miles ago.

Synthetic Oil Protection I did call someone from Amsoil and they said there wasn’t. I have a bunch of Amsoil ATF I want to use from the 90’s lol. Go figure. I would still like to research it more.
