I totally agree with the ditch the extra slim and mirror in favor of better battery life. Too many short charge gaming and no battery 2D lap-burners around.

Wow, removing the bloat made more of a difference to battery life than I expected!

they dont have the proper equipment for testing cats at this time, but they'll look into it in the future if they could acquire the tools and have enough time between regular content.

I've been looking at getting an MSI laptop here soon. I'll probably do a fresh wipe, but curious if here are any MSI apps that you recommend having installed?

Probably Dragon center only, which comes with many utilities for Fan curves, keyboard backlight etc.

Honestly if your not playing games battery life would matter but if you are playing games why does battery life matters when the games bogs down because of running on battery. I have the gt73vr and battery life sucks balls but when Inwant to play games Inalways have it plugged in because gameplay improves when plugged in.

very rubbish laptop, only plan to get it if you treat it like a desktop, and dont mind getting used to such a rubbish keyboard design
    i regret buying it,
the screen is so flimsy and designed to break, and when you want to get it repaired they charge you over £50 just to get an estimation, do not buy it!!

    Should I buy an MSI GS63 with a 1060 or wait for a 1080 MAX Q laptop ?

I can't seem to find my version anywhere! I have the 1070 Version but mine doesn't even have a DVD drive, doesn't even have a cut out for it in the casing. The mainboard does have design for it, but it looks like it the connectors were ditched so you can't even add one later..

Some of the older Dell business laptops had a drive bay where you could swap floppy, CD drive, or 2nd battery. Something like that would seem to suit this laptop pretty well.

I'd say a laptop that large wouldn't see much use away from a power source, so the battery would be not much more than a formality.
