I play i210s but have tested the P770s in the past - wonderful iron just a touch lower spinning then my i210s, which maybe me rather than the club. In terms of size both irons are ideal to my eyes. I slightly prefer the 0317Ts over the P770s, but would be happy with the looks of either. In terms of sound, 0317T sound better to me, P770s still have that click/crack that comes from a hollow bodied iron, 0317Ts seem a touch softer in sound. But the P770s do not have an offensive sound, I would quickly get used to it. As for the data, with the exception of the spin numbers, the 2 irons perform functionally the same. Andy would need to hit a lot more shots with each and give us the standard deviations for the spin to see if what appears to be an edge for the 0317s is real or statistically insignificant but based on the data we have I am intrigued by the spin numbers - I do wonder whether the 0317s would be identical in performance to my i210s (that is a compliment!). Both great irons but if I was buying now I would be looking at the 0317s over the P770s

Andy, as you are the font of all knowledge regarding PXG I have a question if you don't mind, when you are at a PXG fitting here in the UK do you get to try more than a 6 / 7 iron, can you try a long iron, mid iron and a short iron? PXG regulary claim about the quality of their fittings, why wouldn't they offer shaft puring given the "Premium" product you are potentially purchasing?
I just can’t keep buying new irons every time they drop. Wish PXG would do an upgrade program so you could keep getting the latest without paying $1,400-$1,900 every time. I have Gen 6 P because they discontinued the T line until now.

I did get to try 5 iron at their Boston fitting center.
I am 12 handicap player. Will a 12-handicap be able to play these irons? Do they offer enough forgiveness? Please advise

They sure are yeah. Aerotech steel fibre in the pxg, looks like a true temper steel in the P790
