I did this for a cruise, easy, super cute, lots of compliments. I used Shine and Jam, not harsh or crunchy or flakey. The maintenance is just as she described. because my hair was wrapped around it with product.... instead of completely untwisting, it had taken on the curl/twist so it looked cute. The longer I kept it in the straighter my hair became so I had to reapply product and twist.... super versatile, easy to take out and put in..... no pulling from too tight corn rows under crochet. THANK YOU!!! I also soaked the hairin vinegar water and a little shampoo as she suggested. Kept it in for about 4-5 weeks!!!! about to put it back in for mission trip to Haiti
Yessss! Now this is how you create a HOW-TO video! Simple, easy to implement instructions, maintenance, how to sleep, how to take down, etc! Amazing! BRAVO!!
New mom...I tried for hours to do my twists, i decided to get some sleep and when I woke up this video was in my feed. I finished my hair in under 2 hours😊 thank you!!!
Omg! Straight to the point. No beating around the bush. You make it simple and clear You show what you’re doing, making it easy to learn. Telling how many packs, how to style, what to do at night, talking about maintenance and how to remove the hair, even how to wash the hair before using it! You are phenomenal! Love your teaching. Glad I stumbled into you this morning ❤
I love that you did an update on what if it unravels. That was my concern. But just applying water is simple enough! Great style and no rubber bands! ❤️😊
Love the colour. This is exactly how I do the perimeter of my hair as its less stressing than rubber band method. But instead of twisting around the twist, I unravel twist first before crocheting in my hair, I crochet it in and then twist in my own hair, for me its blends right in.
OMG I installed these braids and I can not tell you how many complements I've gotten. Girl you are upgrading my hair game. Thank you soooo much sista❤❤❤
Okay this right here is *QUALITY content* okay 👌🏽. Miss ma’am showed us how to put in on AND *how to take it out.* Nothing wrong with other DIY braids video but I genuinely appreciate that you give us a tutorial and you talks about, maintenance, a quick easy solution for a problem, *AND how to take it OFF! OMG👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽❤️*
This is such a easy peasy hair style. Especially for a mom that needs something to get up and go. And it seems way more protective without rubber bands. So thankful and appreciative for you and how much you help. Thank you ❤️❤️👏🏽
I watched your tutorial from start to finish and was able to do my daughters hair in passion twist for the first time. She loves it and so do I . Thank you for simplifying this process and providing steps by steps instructions for a mom who was able to put a huge smile on my daughter’s face.
You are a gem!! I love content that gets straight to the point and that also allow even beginners to feel confident in trying something new, you have succeeding in giving us this type of content. Every single time I think a hairstyle will be difficult to pull off you upload an amazing video. Thank you for your clear and simple instructions that allow us all to get these beautiful looks. Bravo!! I am happy to support your channel 🥰God bless!!
@@thechicnatural Thanks 👍🏾🙏🏽 You are a pro I can't part my hair in the back for anything at all. I have the hardest time. My hair will creep and be uneven Some of the hair I have bought caused me to itch and turn red. I never thought about soaking it in vinegar. I know they have some brand hair with vinegar in it now.
Sis! If I could give this video a double like, I would. You covered EVERYTHING in this video - the hair that you purchased, how to prepare the hair, how you prepared your hair, how to install the hair, how to maintain the hair at night, how to style the braids, and how to remove the braids. I feel like I can really try doing this and I am a total beginner. Bravo! Well done!
Thank you for the simple step by step, great close ups, and most importantly you showed how your sleep with the braids, how to maintain the braids, and how to remove the braids. NO ONE does this! Just thank you!
By far the EASIEST tutorial I have ever seen on this method and I’m going to apply my butterfly locs using this method!I appreciate you for this because the hair has just been sitting here for months!❤❤❤❤
Thank you for showing how to wrap it at night how to deal with it when it comes to loose and also giving examples of styles. You have no idea how much that really helps.
Can't thank you enough for always coming through with twist and braid styles most of us can do. One of the many things I love about your channel. All of us want to save time and money on our hair, but still look gorgeous and put together.
I tried one to test it out because I watched your rubber band method first and was going for that method but I’m here to say it looks great with the rubber band base as well with this technique! Thank you for this!
Omg I just did this style from your video and I've been struggling with head pain and scalp pain so I am not able to go to the salon anymore but I am hair savvy......your instructions not only gave me the courage to try it (do to pain) but allowed me to gain my confidence back. GOD BLESS YOU 🙌 I am literally trying more of the styles you posted through the next few months
You are so beautiful, even your makeup, flawless skin, and all. I love that style, too. I've been watching you do styles for about 5 years, if not more.
I just tried your technique on my daughters hair and it worked like a charm! I never put artificial hair in her head before because this child have enough hair for 5 people… lol it took me 6 hours but she loooove it!!!! She’s 12 and she needed a big girl hair style… thank you 🎉
Sunday I purchased the hair for my daughter and installed the twists. What a beautiful, simple, affordable style. Thank you for a detailed explanation and for demonstrating beauty and class. Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours. ❤
Thank you, thank you, thank you soooooooo much. After using a perm for 45 years, I decided to stop with the perm and go natural. Started with braids....they were perfect but a bit $$$ for my budget. Got the silk press a few times but, I sweat in my head. So, lately I've been just planting and wearing a scarf. Okay for winter, but I need some options come Spring/Summer. I stumbled upon your site and I'm so excited. Thank you so much. And blessings to you and your family. 🙏 😊
I knew I could rely on you to show me how to get a beautiful style and how to remove them with messing up my own hair. Love watching your videos. Been subscribed a long time. Your videos never disappoint.
3rd time watching this video. Love it. I’m able to keep these in for 2 months with every now and then fixing them. So easy. This has changed my life thank you!😍

Thanks for the hair wash concoction. I recently put in kinky crochet/braiding hair and had to take it out the next day because my scalp itched so badly! I’ll definitely pre wash from now on. TFS
I did this style a few weeks ago. I'm a beginner that has a "movable" scalp (lol) so it took me about 4 hours. I kept it for about 3 weeks. I did have to apply water for a few twists because they kept unraveling, but it wasn't time consuming. I rewashed the twists and plan to reinstall them in a couple of weeks.

I do appreciate you my daughter sent me this link she want me to try your style thank you very much for pitting it out here and share it with us you have a blessed day stay blessed keep up the good work
Firstly thank you for your amazing content as usual. Super relatable and easy to follow! So i tried this method and i just want to leave people with some of my take aways.
Pros:
Easy to do and faster install
Super easy take down
Less tension on hair
Easier to retwist and neaten
Cons:
Unravels faster than normal twist method
Not sure it offers much protection
If you hair is a different colour to the crochet hair it will show up more since your real hair will be twisted on the outside
Anybody that ever had issues with itchiness, dont skip the wash step it makes such a big difference. Im honestly taking a break from going to the salon simply because I miss doing my hair almost only due to the fact I wash my hair beforehand so my head doesn't feel like its on fire
Very cute. May have to try this. I appreciate that you showed what to do if it unravels, that was something that I wondered about, and that you showed the take down process. Thank you
Thank you for the tutorial! I’ve ordered the hair and look forward to installing it. I don’t go to anyone to get my hair done because I haven’t trusted beauticians since 1999. So I look forward to doing this myself. ❤
Your scalp is always so clean. Your parting is my favorite part. Love this style though
Sister, I'm in The Gambia, West Africa and I just saw a huge hairstyle picture in a salon window. You made it to Africa Queen! ❤️🖤💚🇬🇲😊
Oh my goodness....!!! I don't know why I never tried this before? This is a game changer and I already have pretty much everything I need!!! Ive been so lazy n not wanting to do my regular illusion braid pattern. Thanks so much young lady!!! It's on now....🥰😃❤️😍

Love this video. I do my own hair, & I try to find simple hairstyles to do that want be so heavy on my scalp, because my scalp is also sensitive. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I will be attempting to do this on myself tonight! Fingers crossed 😂❤

Your really good at natural braiding on your hair. I just have to restart my hair journey and I think I will be trying some of your methods and chosen styles.
