That’s not how a free market works. It’s consumer demand that creates scalping. People just have too much $$ in their pockets. Don’t hate the scalpers, hate the game.
It’s fine to hate the scalpers. It’s a smarmy way to take advantage of people. I agree that people shouldn’t pay the high prices and demand will go down, but that doesn’t work well at a macro level when there’s zero product available at MSRP. It is completely fair to ridicule “adults” that show up at Costco and shove an entire pallet worth of tin bundles into their cart so they can make a quick buck. It’s ridiculous.
I'm confused when people always ask about the "Next Evolving Skies set from S/V", but honestly that's 151, and the out of stock in seconds proves that!
I love 151. It's why I'm collecting again. I just wish we could get a huge reprint. It's so rough trying to get sealed product at a good price. Luckily I'm apart of a discord and have got access to some great deals for 151 here recently, but like you said it's gone in minutes.
I opened multiple 151 booster bundles with zero hits, not even an EX. The poster collections seemed to have all the hits for me. Super fun to open regardless. I'd love for it to be reprinted for real at some point. We do get late reprints sometimes.
GameStop will be rough. The manager told me each district gets a certain amount and who knows how many stores are in each district. Mine has 15 stores. He also said one store could have them all ordered, so no limit to each store..... just per district. Bestbuy doesn't have details currently. Just coming soon.
What makes me sad about scumbag scalpers and these hardcore “investors” who buy out all stock IMMEDIATELY is don’t forget this shit is for kids! I remember being stoked to get cards as a kid and saving up my own money. I feel bad for kids now because they can’t even get their hands on cards or even any deals. Always sold out online and in store the isle is wiped clean within a day. People need to stop buying from scalpers.
Hopefully my Costco gets this. 151 upc was on Costco for $89 took a while to sell out. I picked up like 10 in though a month getting 2, 2 more, 4. Might get like 10 if these come to Costco
It stayed in stock for a long time. I was shocked when everyone started saying they couldn't find it when it was readily available for less than msrp for so long.
That what I was thinking. I was second guessing if it was if the set was worth it. I know there was some fears of reprints but eventually it did sell out
I wonder if this big Pokemon card boom is why so many ultra rares, including full arts are so cheap now. Well the secret rare illustrations still go for a lot... but I couldn't believe I got Nemona full art for about $1 on TCGplayer lmao And normal art ex cards are worth like a quarter. Wasn't like this with Next Destinies, even the worst EX card was worth about $2.
@@WhereismyPidgey they both say, "coming soon" and not "not available" or "sold out" which isn't that same thing. so even tho they are listed. they havent opened the preorders yet
Bro im not going to be fighting people for it, and im definitely not going to over pay a-holes who are going to be re- selling them for 3 or 4 times thrir original price. Its so discouraging and honestly with what i saw at target im so over it. Im done with this hobby. I love pokemon and always enjoyed the games the anime and tcg. Idk what ill do with my collection but im seriously hating what im seeing with all this nonesense. When grown ass men start fighting and arguing over a pokemon card sale infront of kids, thats the line for me..
Dude, it's everywhere distribution has it. Make a few friends like i did. I manage to get everything cheap. Idk about prismatic but I was able to get a lot of surging for cheap.
If you are in it for the money, you’re better off doing something like that, Pokemon should be an actual interest with a benefit of being able to potentially sell your cards but it shouldn’t be a job, thats what ruins the entire market is people reselling, theres a hell of a lot better things to resell imo.
I'm sick of pre-orders being out of stock in the time it takes me to click the email
Literally. Target Black Friday etbs I’ve missed 2 times by minutes. Don’t even bother in stores
I wish they would only allow one per purchase each store
Scalpers will be the death of Pokémon. We saw it in 2020-2021 and we’re seeing it now. It’s such a disappointment.
Can always buy base set, rift, Obsidian, temporal, stellar crown, 80% of sword and shield is affordable. But no everyone wants the new shiny toy
They are the death of anything with re sell value and unless people start aggressively going against them shit won’t change

If this is the next evolving skies, does that mean charizard sir 151 will go up in value like moonbreon?
I refuse to buy this box on the secondary market. If I can’t get one at msrp, I’m not buying it.

I’m judging waiting for them to reprint the set in Japanese in December and gonna be stocking up on those a lot

Really hoping prismatic evolutions doesn't end up like this but i feel like it's already on track to
I feel like prismatic is going to be like crown zenith.

that was the most valuable unvaluable episode ;)
Just some real talk, love it
If your an actual collector of the cards, the answer is to just buy the singles for this set.
where are the pre-orders? they dont exist yet as far as i can tell
Best buy sold out - game stop hasn’t had it yet.

I love the 151 so much just bough the Japanese 10s bulba ivy and venesaur set 😂🤣
Can’t wait to see pallets of these at Sam’s club
Found some 151 at walmart today
Why can’t they just print more cards?
Appreciate you!
Ex in every bundle is your worst opening?

If this gets released to Walmart or Target, you can bet that the scammer sharks will smell blood in the water.

Commenting to just comment!
I found my first Alakazam box at Walmart last night and finally pulled the charizard sir
That’s a W!
How about becoming someone who also invest in crypto?

@ I wanna make money in crypto so I can have fun buying a bunch of Pokémon cards lol
