I bought a new 2021 M440i and was attracted to it by the very different front grill. I love it and get many huge complements. It doesn't have the boring front grill that all other BMWs, Mercedes and Audis have and it goes like a bat out of hell. By the way, I'm almost 80 and this is my first BMW!

Hi, I am interested in buying convertible, is the roof enough soundproofing when it is closed ? , or it is tiring?. Is there much difference between coupe and convertible? I want to buy for dayli drive.

I am the contrarian with the “beaver teef” grille 😁. I’m a BMW guy and I think the oversized grilles look good - especially in the 4-series convertible. The place the grill feels most out of place is in the M3.

i agree (altho i like it on all the gxx cars ive seen w it)
i think it makes the car look like if u took a 1950s f1 or f2 car thats like a slick metal hot dog w wheels sticking out the side and a huge grill-mouth on the front,,

What I enjoy about you guys and your commentary: you are putting the car into context. Who is the intended buyer, and should the intended buyer be interested? You've answered both questions. Ignore comments here complaining that this car is not something it was never intended to be and/or is not the car some would like it to be, or would personally buy. Non-sequitur. You've presented this car - as it is - clearly and concisely. Just gently endure the inevitable pathos for those who can't comprehend the perspectives you've delivered.

I prefer a fun driving car and could care less about going from 0-60 in 3 seconds or even under 6 seconds. Realistically most high HP drivers only get to use it between stop lights, gas stations, and occassionally on an open stretch of hwy. Problem is no one makes a fun convertible anymore except Mazda, and at 6'4" and 200# I just can comfortably fit.

It's a shame that you need to spend this money to get a proper rear seat in a convertible.
The Sebring/Solara you mention were nowhere NEAR as good as this to drive, but checked those boxes for the non-enthusiast driver at half this price. That Buick that recently got discontinued as well as the VW EOS and Volvo C70 also had decent rear seats but all are dead now.
This IS a good offering for what it does but man, nearly 70k (or more)? Jeez. That's unfortunate. (nearly as unfortunate as the front clip of this thing)

The one thing I cannot stand from my 2024 430i convertible is the Sirius pop up that comes up at least a dozen times on each drive. Recently the car doesn't recognize my keyfob is near EVEN THOUGH the car unlocked upon approach. When returning to the vehicle the last reception choice (radio, Spotify, etc) will default back to my phone. Spotify through the car is louder than Spotify through the phone - but repeatedly the car returns to the phone and I don't understand why. Would I buy again? Nope.
