    pretty good!!! Only thing i can see is pre-shading it would of made it pop alittle more, blend 2 different types of silvers, you need airbrush for that, rattle can might be possible, with plain brush, pretty good, just get some senna, thinned black wash, put all ocer engine, wipe most oof again, easy, gives good effect, but well done gav!!!

    What you need to do to get a better view of the engine, do what they did with the real thing, cut off the engine boot lid by scribing in the groove that defines the shape and either leave it off or reattach at an angle. Steve

    from someone who owned a couple of modded VW boxer engines in the rear of my trike, NEVER seen diff colour wires to the two sides from the dizzy. Also rarely would you see a red fan cover, stock was black or showy was often chrome. The detail on the engine and the time you spent on it though, Hats off.

    Always a good idea to hit sintered nylon parts with a high build primer, gives a smoother texture and reduces the full on "paint suck" that porous materials have.

  • @mnmvuk

    Does the body fit down in it's stock position with the new motor? From other videos and even yours it looks like the air cleaners block the body from sitting down far enough to engage the rear body hold down clips.

    • @RCKickschannel

      Yes it does on mine

    • @KnightCustoms
      @KnightCustoms 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes we have seen that too, it fits perfect with no issues on all our Sand Scorchers. Not sure why on others they have a problem clearing.

  • @MrWiigZee
    @MrWiigZee 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great job Gavin. Really finishes off the back end of the Scorcher - I fitted the same engine. Just to note that if you decide to fit a metal cage, the rear cross bar on some of the metal cages available will hit the 3D printed oil sump. I had to remake the aluminium cage sides to raise that cross bar to clear the oil sump.
