Thanks! A recent Spotify Discover Weekly find I have been digging lately. I used to put tunes in more videos but know my taste doesn't always match everyone else's, but sometimes a video calls for it :)
It looks so nice. I have an XR from 2019 and I was waiting for such a model. Some say it is just a GT, but measures, distance from floor, and others are not. Then you got bit more range and price is same as back then. For those who may think about initiating this is a good starting point.
@@pullupullupullup4687 as far as I know you should find a sticker warning you. I found it when I ever opened the bms. Same may happen with the battery. I don't think that changing footpads is a big deal but sending a mail to future motion to ask is the most recomended!
@@pullupullupullup4687grip tape voids the warranty of the Footpad only unless it causes ghosting or another issue that leads to damage. Rear footpad has many options but front footpad can only be FM product unless you want to make your own. FM offers low soft, low hard, flared, etc…. And a bunch of vendors make rear pads now.
Agreed, this is what the GT should've been. You can say it's "just a GT" on the inside, but the internals of the GT weren't the main complaint. It was the whole platform: thicker rails and higher center of gravity leaving it to feeling "tippy", inexplicably having a 6.5" wheel that REDUCED the amount of rubber between you and any rock larger than a pebble (we dubbed it the Buckin' GT pretty early on since any rock you hit would buck you off the board if you weren't careful). The added power at the time was pretty great, but everything else sucked. This is that added power on a near-perfect XR platform, and that's something to celebrate.
Nice vid as always. I'm interested in a XRC myself, but having a Recurve 6" S-Series GT for street makes it hard for me to justify since I'd have less range. What psi did you settle on for trail?
So I was a bit over inflated for this ride. I thought I had let out enough air but when I checked it I was at 16 psi, and I definitely felt it. Haven't had time to take it back out but I plan to try it again around 12-13 psi.
@@AlexLepoutre Yeah, I've done that too haha. 12.5 psi for me was pretty good. Lower than 11 and it wobbled and around 11 it starts to "double bounce" when I land. Looking forward to the next video.
@@1800Swagg Hah yeah I initially tried it somewhere around 11 out of the box and definitely felt the wobbles. Crazy what a fine line there is between usable and not with the performance treaded lol. Thanks for watching!
Depends on your use case, but the XR Classic truly is the best all around board. Perfect size, feels great and planted and flowy under your feat in a way the GT never could, and offers more stability and comfort with the wider tire and bigger footpads than a Pint. I'll still be using it mostly for street, but it can definitely hold its own on trails.
The stock lowboy footpads aren't that bad if all you know are hard plastic footpads. I'm getting older and my knees and feet thank me when I'm on a soft/kush footpad. You should definitely take advantage of TFL sale! Best price I've seen for a Kush pad and I recently paid double that price because I couldn't wait 🤦
Feel anything diff than the GT (R) from a torque or responsiveness standpoint? Mines only been on pavement so far. Glorious footage and trails. Jealous of your “chilly” weather. You all in Session?
It's been like a year and a half since I rode my GTR, so it's hard to say, but I do think the slightly lighter weight and lower stance contributes to it feeling lighter under your feet with equivalent GT power. It went from an 80 degree high to a low of 50 yesterday lol. So far been sticking to Session as I find it gives more torque and feels less spongey than Mission. Sort of reminds of a flowy Highline.
Yeeeww! Killer video dude! 🔥
Thanks yo!
Awesome, nice trails !
Thanks!
Killing the self shot!! 🎥🔥

Is it worth buying a XR classic? Im a onewheel gt and pint x owner, never had a chance to ride one of those

Update, the XR Classic will be arriving next Friday. Can’t wait to ride it
Edit: you were right about the xr, I love it
Are the foot pads really that bad? Should I take advantage of tiles black friday sale on their website?
