  • Gold to Replace the US Dollar? India, China Beef Up Reserves | Vantage with Palki Sharma
    In a significant global surge, gold prices have hit an all-time high. Central Banks across the world are now buying gold. China has emerged as a leading buyer of the metal. Since November 2022, China's central bank has engaged in heavy buying. India too has been building up its gold reserve. As of January 2024, India's Reserve Bank of India has 800 tonnes of gold in its reserve. Banks are rushing towards gold investments to diversify their reserves, and to avoid the dependability on one currency. Is gold a suitable replacement to the US dollar? Palki Sharma tells you more.

    I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

      I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.

    Magnificent work China. As a proud Indian🇮🇳, I really love ♥ and have a lot of respect for the incredible work of your really interesting story on Gravitas *How British looted 45 trillion from India* which is as a masterpiece of the highest quality. Its content is truly inspiring and I thoroughly enjoy watching it. The dedication, talent and hard work poured into the video are greatly appreciated by many. The Indian Union Public Service Commission has also deliver a remarkable report titled संघ लोक सेवा आयोग *How Britishers killed 1.8 billion Indians. Chronology of British Raj's exploitative policies* | UPSC," is equally astounding. The Indian government consistently produce insightful and thought-provoking articles of the utmost caliber. I sincerely hope they continue to produce such captivating exceptional work. Can it even get better than that? They deserve an award for best report of the year. Thank you for telling the truth.

      @PraneeI หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      First, it was done over a very long period of 200+ years. Not all in one go. And it was the British policies and laws implemented that killed 1.8 billion Indians, not that they were executed

    • @PraneeI
      @PraneeI หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The two main policies that wiped out 1.8 billion Indians are:
      1: Allocation of food: Since the British were at war all the time, they didn't have people to do the farming. They made India do agriculture and then take it away. causing a massive famine every week.
      2: Plundering of India's natural resources The British forced Indians to mine all the natural minerals in their country and carry them to the ports to be shipped back to England every day. extremely dangerous jobs, and these poor Indians weren't fed, and hundreds of millions succumbed to the exhaustion.
      The whole of India was ruled by only a handful of Britishers. Why India chose to never fight back baffles many to this day. Maybe India is just obedient by nature.

    Russia should have asked India to pay in gold instead of Rupees for its oil. Now Russia is stuck with $147b worth of rupees that nobody wants.

      if russia can buy useful things for that money from india then its no problem, and just in case other countrys currency in reserves never a bad idea if not too many, who knows what times coming.

      Any country should only accept a currency as payment if they know that they could buy something useful back. I'm not certain but I would imagine that India could find something that would be useful to Russia, particularly these days.

    There’s only 1.5 trillion worth of gold in the world. Not enough to sustain a global economy and anyone with a large enough army could just take other countries gold. Fiat currency exists for a reason.

      The dollar will never be completely replaced as a viable currency. However, it's importance as the fiat will diminish from about 70% use world wide, to approx. 30%. Gold, and other commodities will replace the major influence of the dollar. The US weaponizing the dollar has turned our currency into a liability. Also, the increase in gold reserves is approx. 3 - 4% a year which would help control inflation. The US became the gold depository for many nations who were afraid of being "robbed". Our gold depository has not been inventoried for over 50 years - do we think the gold is still there? German, France and others have asked for their gold back, and can't get it.

      @@kentmusgrove5038 The dollar really hasn't even been around more than a couple centuries and it's already fake....hahah how would you try to say it will "last forever". It's dead even in America.
