Hey Gabby, we have had ours for over a year and it is working fine. Being exposed to the elements definitely is a concern, it is wearing but it could last for years still. Time will be the real test...I hope it lasts at least 3-4 years.

I thought I heard 11 mile radius was the max. I "personally" have used mine 7-8 miles away. So I don't think that 1.2 miles was the issue.
Did you just unplug it and plugged it back in? I've been thinking about taking my starlink to a camp site n it's about 8.2 miles away

They just send me the gen 1 . So your tell me that the surface is wearing out after a year that not good new
