Man i'm really envious of people getting their first VR Experiences and getting to enjoy themselves in general. I unfortunately had to sell my Valve Index in mid 2020 because i needed money for family stuff. I really wish i can get back into VR someday but these prices aren't helping. I loved this so much and i hope you guys enjoy your time and make some special memories. Have fun!
Not too many good games to justify $600 on this thing. Just wait for holiday seasons this year and the lineup will be good and maybe a discount bundle? Cross your fingers 🤞
Don't be. It's not so amazing. Once the novelty wears off we'll see it's a bit of a dud. At the moment you're hearing the opinions of super hardcore VR enthusiasts. Most folks won't find it all that amazing. I returned mine. Super underwhelming.
9:21 Yes you were right I'm a vr lover and most people when they first start playing vr usually experience motion sickness but its does go away if you play often and after that you usually don't experience it some people call it "getting your vr legs". But keep up the good work love the vid's 😀
Id add to be careful to play for long sessions if you get motion sickness. Psvr2 is my first headset and i got my VR legs by getting off the psvr2. Immediately the minute i felt any slight motion sickness side effects. Then when i feel better get on again, rinse and repeat. I usually tell people not to continue to play through motion sickness side effects because it only will grow worse. So take a break, get back on when feeling better, rinse and repeat
Got mine yesterday and it's fantastic. The kayaking game is VERY relaxing. I have been VRing since 2016 and can confirm that the motion sickness eventually goes away (the length of time for this to happen depends on the person though)
If anyone is wondering why there aren't a big section of games to choose from, is because game developers dont know the componatnts completely or controls as many componys actually dont have the VR to test the controls, movment, ect. The games that you see have been Pre-made, Like horizone, Made By sony, or Pavlov.
Motion sickness does get better over time. It was really bad for me when I got my Quest 2 but I just played every day for a few mins and after a week, it was completely gone.
I’m literally hyped to get my PlayStation VR 2 today. I saved my entire allowance and today as we’re talking I’m about to get it and just by the un boxing I can already tell it’s gonna be a blast. The PS VR two is already I can tell the best VR set for 2023
Uuuh noo!! The Meta Quest 3 later this year will dethrone the PSVR2. It Will be a standalone headset, just like the quest 2. It will improve from the quest 2 in every way. The quest 2 is still one of the best VR head set’s for the money
@@bradlyboy328My friend, If you already own a ps5, the psvr 2 is 50 dollars more, and is better in almost every single possible way besides passthrough and the quest 3 being wired This has increased FOV, resolution (I think, have to double check), foveated rendering, WAY more power (it can run pcvr titles better than a pc itself in many cases due to the foveated rendering and ps5 optimization), better ipd adjustment, eye tracking (kinda what allows for foveated rendering, lol), better comfort, in headset haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, the same haptics used in the ps5 which were extremely good, and so much more. Got my launch day. first impressions, I was not as blown away by it like I was with my PSVR1. There is a noticeable bump in the clarity of the graphics, way less screendoor effects. But the graphics themselves, as far as textures, don't really seem that much better than on PSVR1 (it felt more like going from PS4 to PS4 Pro, than a next gen leap in improvements.) Though maybe that's more to do with the individual games I've tried. The setup is indeed much easier, and if you've never played on a high end VR system, you will def. be blown away by it. Second issue I had was the tracking kept cutting out initially. It would only last a second, not even long enough to properly read the error message it kept displaying, but it got annoying. Yesterday I went into the settings and adjusted a couple of things, which seems to have fixed it. But I never had that issue with my PSVR1. There are a couple of demos available to try that you can download, so far I've only tried the Star Wars demo, but do think for $600, there should have been a pack-in game like PSVR1 came with Astro-Bot, and that was super fun. I would've loved another version of that on the PSVR2 But my biggest issue, is with the controls. They have been pretty good with Horizon a game made with the PSVR2 in mind,(and yes, it's little more than a rock climbing sim), but trying to play RE8 has been very hard. I played RE7 on the OG PSVR and never really had any issues with the controls, but on this RE game, the movements and arm gestures needed to take out items you're carrying, like health, or maps, or flashlights, are totally wonky and don't work 7/10 times you try it. And you just have to get lucky with the aiming, without a laser sight on the gun, you're going to miss a lot, especially at a distance. Which makes dealing with enemies in the heat of combat a totally unfun process. Definitely play this on the easy mode in VR. Also, forget about trying to read docs you pick up or signs on walls you need to solve puzzles, if you're close to what you're trying to read, you have to go cross-eyed to do it, or close one eye in order to see the text properly. Much like you have to do to shoot with the sniper rifle. When you're wandering around with no enemies and taking in the immersion it's great, but it's clear this game wasn't built from the ground up for VR like RE7 was. Am I glad I bought the system? Yes. Though I don't think it's a must buy right now. I would've been happy just playing on PSVR1 for a while longer until there's a better library for PSVR2
@@crumesd You might want to try going into the PSVR settings and tick the box that says if your set keeps losing tracking click here. It will put a box around the image that’s displayed on the tv screen for anyone watching you play, but it seems to have fixed the issues I was having.
RE7 always got me motion sickness. I am hoping PSVR2 changes that for RE8. Everyone is different. In RE7 with PSVR1 I don't know why that happened. I played hours of Saints and Sinners no problem.
I've really been enjoying this VR the past couple of days. I like it better than my Quest 2, but I hope they crank out new games and ports fast. For now, there's enough to start. I hope the library grows well.

I got my hands on a PSVR2 because I wanted to be prepared for the future of VR games, it has been great. I love almost everything about it but there is one BIG thing that it is missing. VR is used for several purposes by most who use it, games, exercise, however there is the use nobody talks about, if I say it my comment will be flagged and shadow banned but we all know what it is. Sadly despite all its VR advancement it offers no support for any kind of shall we say "late night" activity. I tried everything, even sites claiming you can backdoor (pun not intended) a fix and get a web browser, it just didn't work. Bottom line if you want a VR for gaming this is the one, if you want a VR that does games and the other stuff, get the meta quest 2.
