Last night was my first evening with it, and let me tell you, it was amazing. I dove into GT7, Horizon, No Man Sky, and Job Sim and I was blown away by how immersive the experience was. Every minute was great and I can't wait to jump back in for another session after work today.
@@timmeh8341 Yes it demands a space that is 2mx2m big. I got it to work by setting a temporary play area that is bigger even though it includes obstacles. After i could play it and the space i actualy have was totally enough for the experience. You just have to be more aware of the surroundings, that said i had no problem like that.
So I'm looking to pick this up asap, but I heard some complaints about a blur or image quality not being as good as they thought... what are your thoughts, I'm hype but don't want to be let down by image quality
Received mine at 9:35am yesterday and I am so impressed. My last VR was the VR1 and it’s a huge upgrade for me personally. Oh and gotta give that box some love, great for keeping it safe when not in use and very carbon aware. Well done Sony!
Im on the fence whether to pick it up or not! Im coming from psvr1 also. Which i do really enjoy. Im hoping they release a blood & truth 2 or what i’d like even more is more of the shark encounter from vrworlds, that was the most immersed i’ve felt. How would you compare it to the first?

Played with the new headset for about 4 hours yesterday. I loved it. The tracking is so good. I would really like to see a resurgence of light gun games like Time Crisis and House of the Dead on PSVR2. I think it shines for rail shooters, rythym games, driving games, and puzzle games.
i have a serious question I hope you can answer me. Does the VR makes a "deep feelling" like the 3d movies do? or is just like a flat 2D screen that rotates depending were you're viewing?
@@DanielGarcia-wq4zf VR is of course 3D - that's one of the reasons it's so great. The scale is incredible. Big things feel as big as in real life. On flat screen everything feels small. But watching a giant monster in VR is like a giant monster is standing in front of you and you are tiny.
Yesterday was my first VR experience ever when my PSVR2 arrived. It was mine blowing, and although I could only play for an hour or so due to a bit of motion sickness, it was easily the best gaming experience of my life - quite incredible, you are literally inside the game. I found if I set the camera in horizon to flick rather than smooth and reduced the FOV, my motion sickness started getting much better, but I still stopped to be safe. looking forward to playing more tonight, still haven't tried GT7 yet.

Hearing impressions on RE Village and GT7 is really tempting me to drop the money on this, despite how hesitant I’ve been previously. I loved RE4 on Quest 2 and Village seems like it would be a blast. I’d really like to see more Sony PSVR games get ported or sequels for PSVR2, like Astro Bot.

At certain parts of Horizon Call of the Mountain you really can't tell it was all graphic details and not the real world. At time you feel as if your really there and everything around you looks truly lifelike. Unlike anything I have seen before.
Got mine a few days ago and started with GT7 which was incredible. The VR showroom is incredible the detail on the cars is so good. Really enjoying Horizon as well the world looks so good in it.

You definitely need a wheel for GT7 VR ! It’s magical! It also helps with motion sickness because it feels natural to drive a car with a wheel like in real life .
The headset is amazing. There is a common problem with the controllers not working in game, even if the work on the Home Screen. I had this happen and I followed PlayStation guide for resetting the controllers and had no problems thereafter.

I just ordered a wheel with wheel stand, pedals and manual shifter (for some cars I prefer old fashioned shifting to pedal shifting). PSVR2 and GT7 made me do this.

Never did VR before and got a psvr2. Tbh, the resolution is not as clear as I thought it would be but it still was fun. My x button didn’t work on the main menu of any vr game as well so hopefully they get this fixed. I’m not the only one that had these issues.
Very bad for me also. In kayak vr all the rock faces and trees were all blurred out. I messed with the setting for hrs. Still no fix. Couldn't find my sweet spot.

the only annoyance for me is the mura effect..maybe with some updates it will be less visible...but at the end is an smazing experience...resident evil village is like a totally different game..amazing , more scary experience ....The succes i believe will be measured on the new games in the future.
The extra tips for the ear phone are not really "for later use". They offer a choice of sizes, S M L. The medium tips come already attached. It's important to select the tips that fit your ears and create a good seal, as this will greatly improve the bass response.

Do not put the charging stand dongles in first, unless you plan on taking them right back out again. The controllers have to be paired with the PS5 via USB-C cable, THEN put the dongles on. Learn from my mistakes. 😁

I have big hands and was surprised how small the controllers are. My thumbs overshoot the buttons a little. Usable, but takes some time to get used to.
I love the VR1, but I don't use it nearly enough to justify buying a 2nd gen. I really loved the game Blood and Truth on VR1, but sony really needs to start pumping out amazing content for this headset if they want this to sell well. I really think they should have made it compatible with PC, that would have made it MUCH more enticing for me. I really want to play half life alyx... but I don't think that is coming to playstation anytime soon... :/
Im hoping for a blood and truth 2. I also absolutely loved the shark encounter in vrworlds. The lack of big titles is whats holding me back from picking up vr2.
@@michaelmyersplays4992 a lot. This might look like a like launch line up but what do we really have? One first party game which isn't a full sized game anyway, vr added to games already out and a load of shovelware from psvr updated to use psvr2. Admittedly some of these are good but they aren't what you forked out 500+ for. With poor sales psvr2 is in danger of suffering the same fate as the PS Vita.
Racing wheels are great for GT7! Would love to see you get into it. That's cool man. On the cheaper side (yes 200+) check out the Logitech wheels. They make good introductory stuff. (wheels setups that are great go for like 1000$ lol, but I mean consider how expensive your actual car steering wheel would be, and it's really nothing comparably)
Sony should've done a locking USB-C cable on the headset side instead like how they do with their edge controller. That way we could also replace it with a short or even longer cable instead.

I think those guys are all fairly low effort now. RGT is basically begging for money as he's heart is giving away (and he was awful anyway), Miss Click pops in with zero interest to make some cash. Basically all of Spawncast are a waste now apart from Nate who is so knowledgeable and OJ who is always on the ball. Best part of spawn cast was when Mystic was on as a guest!

I played some GT7 and horizon last night. amazing technology. I may have been going a bit wild trying things out and had to call it quits aftyer 2 hours from my head starting to hurt a bit. So think it will be good in shorter sessions.
The one thing that VR2 has exposed for me is that I need to get an eye test. It’s just a teeny tiny bit out of reach with the focus settings so I’m suffering a little. Having said this for what I have played so far has been insane…INSANE! It’s just ridiculous how good this bit of tech is. Bravo Sony. 👏🏻

I bought the charging station and it’s worth it. It’s not cheaply made. Charges both controllers fast. I’m glad I didn’t buy a 3rd party station. If your getting top quality VR might as well get quality charging station.

My right controller doesn’t detect anything when I’m in a game or app but when I’m on the Home Screen it works like normal. So I can’t even play games at the moment

You should warn viewers to avoid trying to 'clean' the lens with anything *except* a dry lens tissue (ex. for eyeglasses) Using any kind of liquid or pre-moistened wipes can really screw up the lenses. There are some horror stories on reddit and other outlets of people messing up their lenses on day one 😞
The Logitech g29 is around $250 right now and it is VERY convincing and has way more than enough torque to simulate a real driving experience. I actually have the Max torque setting at 7 out of 10 because it's powerful enough that it can overdo it.
I am sure with the controllers that Sony will provide replacements if you manage to damage yours. I know with the PSVR1 that when my rabbit chewed through the main cable to the headset (while I was using it), I contacted Sony and they sent me a replacement headset for a small fee (well I say small fee, it was about 40% of rebuying the whole set).

I have terrible nausea but I guess since I’m so use to playing in cockpit cam when I first jumped into GT7 vr I didn’t feel sick at all, but when I jumped into no man’s sky I jumped once and fet nausea immediately lol. You should definitely get a proper wheel for gt7 it definitely adds to the immersion, I’d recommend a Logitech G29 or a thrustmaster T300 it’s what I personally use.
I really hope they bring back and add the Brookhaven Experiment. I was lost in that for hours on VR1 but the Move controllers weren’t at best when turning behind for 180 shooting. They would start glitching due to the camera not detecting/seeing the Move controllers because your whole body was in the way. I bet that game would run FLAWLESSY on the VR2…
It's worth pinning that the easiest way to avoid cable drag (it pulling on your head) is to have a small cheap hook on your ceiling to hold the cable. If possible. Maybe worth a comment pin
This thing looks friggin' awesome! but you'll feel better when the games you're waiting for come out on it, there have been firmware updates, maybe some headset skins because white is ugly, etc.. Oh and a discounted price wouldn't hurt either. Other than that, I have no thoughts.
Just needs more good games now to justify the price. We've got RE Village, 7 and 4 coming, hopefully the older RE games will get updates too. Hopefully it'll support 3D Blu rays in time, as I'd like to finally watch Dredd in 3D with HD resolution.

Is the static film grain effect on the lens normal? I was expecting full 4k clarity but maybe I'm just too new to VR gaming , I've played Resi8 , No Mans Sky, GT7 , Call of the mountain and Galaxys Edge (trial) , When I'm playing I seem to see these transparent dots everywhere ? Is there a protective film on the lenses I'm supposed to take off? Any help would be very much appreciated sincerely a VR Noob
Hi Had the sane problem last night and i was pist off. Was using psvr1 before and the psvr2 clarity was no different. Tried on my GFs os5 and there worked flawlessly and was sharp. And it took me whole night when i figured out what was happening. At the calibration tutorial when it say LOOK AT THE TV, i fid not! It screw up the whole clarity of the picture. I went through again, this time doing what it tells me and it worked. No more bluri or film grain. But ofc it never wont be as sharp as on the 4ktv.

Last night was my first evening with it, and let me tell you, it was amazing. I dove into GT7, Horizon, No Man Sky, and Job Sim and I was blown away by how immersive the experience was. Every minute was great and I can't wait to jump back in for another session after work today.
With job simulator, do you need like over 2m space?

I got it to work by setting a temporary play area that is bigger even though it includes obstacles. After i could play it and the space i actualy have was totally enough for the experience.
You just have to be more aware of the surroundings, that said i had no problem like that.
So I'm looking to pick this up asap, but I heard some complaints about a blur or image quality not being as good as they thought... what are your thoughts, I'm hype but don't want to be let down by image quality

Played with the new headset for about 4 hours yesterday. I loved it. The tracking is so good. I would really like to see a resurgence of light gun games like Time Crisis and House of the Dead on PSVR2. I think it shines for rail shooters, rythym games, driving games, and puzzle games.
i have a serious question I hope you can answer me. Does the VR makes a "deep feelling" like the 3d movies do? or is just like a flat 2D screen that rotates depending were you're viewing?

@@DanielGarcia-wq4zf VR is of course 3D - that's one of the reasons it's so great. The scale is incredible. Big things feel as big as in real life. On flat screen everything feels small. But watching a giant monster in VR is like a giant monster is standing in front of you and you are tiny.
Yesterday was my first VR experience ever when my PSVR2 arrived. It was mine blowing, and although I could only play for an hour or so due to a bit of motion sickness, it was easily the best gaming experience of my life - quite incredible, you are literally inside the game. I found if I set the camera in horizon to flick rather than smooth and reduced the FOV, my motion sickness started getting much better, but I still stopped to be safe. looking forward to playing more tonight, still haven't tried GT7 yet.
Try turning a fan on you and don’t try to power through, take breaks and eventually your legs will get strong 💪
Yeah it takes some getting used to for sure, but the fan suggestion is a good one. It does get better once you become accustomed to it.
Oh and GT7 is awesome on it. Just don’t be alarmed when it starts in flat screen. Once the race starts it will change to VR.

Hearing impressions on RE Village and GT7 is really tempting me to drop the money on this, despite how hesitant I’ve been previously. I loved RE4 on Quest 2 and Village seems like it would be a blast.

At certain parts of Horizon Call of the Mountain you really can't tell it was all graphic details and not the real world. At time you feel as if your really there and everything around you looks truly lifelike. Unlike anything I have seen before.
I was skeptical about this. But I think I might actually give this headset a try now

Got mine a few days ago and started with GT7 which was incredible. The VR showroom is incredible the detail on the cars is so good. Really enjoying Horizon as well the world looks so good in it.

I have watched many psvr2 reviews but this is easily the most detailed review of them all
You definitely need a wheel for GT7 VR ! It’s magical! It also helps with motion sickness because it feels natural to drive a car with a wheel like in real life .
Deffo. I love how in vr you instantly know your braking points because the 3d lets you know how far away the corner is unlike flat games.
The headset is amazing. There is a common problem with the controllers not working in game, even if the work on the Home Screen. I had this happen and I followed PlayStation guide for resetting the controllers and had no problems thereafter.
If you sync first you never have this "problem"

I just ordered a wheel with wheel stand, pedals and manual shifter (for some cars I prefer old fashioned shifting to pedal shifting). PSVR2 and GT7 made me do this.
What wheel setup did you go with? I’m also thinking of getting back into racing sim along with the PSVR2

Never did VR before and got a psvr2. Tbh, the resolution is not as clear as I thought it would be but it still was fun.
My x button didn’t work on the main menu of any vr game as well so hopefully they get this fixed. I’m not the only one that had these issues.
If the resolution was worse than you expected, be grateful you never used any older vr headsets lol
Very bad for me also. In kayak vr all the rock faces and trees were all blurred out. I messed with the setting for hrs. Still no fix. Couldn't find my sweet spot.

the only annoyance for me is the mura effect..maybe with some updates it will be less visible...but at the end is an smazing experience...resident evil village is like a totally different game..amazing , more scary experience ....The succes i believe will be measured on the new games in the future.
The extra tips for the ear phone are not really "for later use". They offer a choice of sizes, S M L. The medium tips come already attached. It's important to select the tips that fit your ears and create a good seal, as this will greatly improve the bass response.

Do not put the charging stand dongles in first, unless you plan on taking them right back out again. The controllers have to be paired with the PS5 via USB-C cable, THEN put the dongles on. Learn from my mistakes. 😁

I have big hands and was surprised how small the controllers are. My thumbs overshoot the buttons a little. Usable, but takes some time to get used to.
I love the VR1, but I don't use it nearly enough to justify buying a 2nd gen. I really loved the game Blood and Truth on VR1, but sony really needs to start pumping out amazing content for this headset if they want this to sell well. I really think they should have made it compatible with PC, that would have made it MUCH more enticing for me. I really want to play half life alyx... but I don't think that is coming to playstation anytime soon... :/

Im hoping for a blood and truth 2. I also absolutely loved the shark encounter in vrworlds. The lack of big titles is whats holding me back from picking up vr2.
@@michaelmyersplays4992 a lot. This might look like a like launch line up but what do we really have? One first party game which isn't a full sized game anyway, vr added to games already out and a load of shovelware from psvr updated to use psvr2. Admittedly some of these are good but they aren't what you forked out 500+ for. With poor sales psvr2 is in danger of suffering the same fate as the PS Vita.

Racing wheels are great for GT7! Would love to see you get into it. That's cool man. On the cheaper side (yes 200+) check out the Logitech wheels. They make good introductory stuff. (wheels setups that are great go for like 1000$ lol, but I mean consider how expensive your actual car steering wheel would be, and it's really nothing comparably)
Sony should've done a locking USB-C cable on the headset side instead like how they do with their edge controller. That way we could also replace it with a short or even longer cable instead.
Fanatec DD pro is incredible and was actually designed in conjunction with Polyphony for GT7

I think those guys are all fairly low effort now. RGT is basically begging for money as he's heart is giving away (and he was awful anyway), Miss Click pops in with zero interest to make some cash. Basically all of Spawncast are a waste now apart from Nate who is so knowledgeable and OJ who is always on the ball. Best part of spawn cast was when Mystic was on as a guest!

I played some GT7 and horizon last night. amazing technology. I may have been going a bit wild trying things out and had to call it quits aftyer 2 hours from my head starting to hurt a bit. So think it will be good in shorter sessions.
The one thing that VR2 has exposed for me is that I need to get an eye test. It’s just a teeny tiny bit out of reach with the focus settings so I’m suffering a little.
Having said this for what I have played so far has been insane…INSANE! It’s just ridiculous how good this bit of tech is. Bravo Sony. 👏🏻

I bought the charging station and it’s worth it. It’s not cheaply made. Charges both controllers fast. I’m glad I didn’t buy a 3rd party station. If your getting top quality VR might as well get quality charging station.

He called the $50 accessory a luxury item for a $550 dollar accessory. You need around at least $950 to play this not including a TV the whole thing is a luxury item.
My right controller doesn’t detect anything when I’m in a game or app but when I’m on the Home Screen it works like normal. So I can’t even play games at the moment

Have you or anyone, played none VR games yet with headset? Wondering how they look...
They look pretty damn good! Not 4K but maybe like 1440p quality.
You should warn viewers to avoid trying to 'clean' the lens with anything *except* a dry lens tissue (ex. for eyeglasses) Using any kind of liquid or pre-moistened wipes can really screw up the lenses. There are some horror stories on reddit and other outlets of people messing up their lenses on day one 😞
The manual clearly states that you should only use a dry lens cloth, it's a shame people can't be bothered to read manuals, lol.
The Logitech g29 is around $250 right now and it is VERY convincing and has way more than enough torque to simulate a real driving experience. I actually have the Max torque setting at 7 out of 10 because it's powerful enough that it can overdo it.
If you're looking for a very good first steering wheel The g29 will far exceed your expectations.
I am sure with the controllers that Sony will provide replacements if you manage to damage yours. I know with the PSVR1 that when my rabbit chewed through the main cable to the headset (while I was using it), I contacted Sony and they sent me a replacement headset for a small fee (well I say small fee, it was about 40% of rebuying the whole set).
The headset and controlers are LIGHT AF, they almost feel like they are made of paper they are so damned lightweight lol theyre awesome

I have terrible nausea but I guess since I’m so use to playing in cockpit cam when I first jumped into GT7 vr I didn’t feel sick at all, but when I jumped into no man’s sky I jumped once and fet nausea immediately lol. You should definitely get a proper wheel for gt7 it definitely adds to the immersion, I’d recommend a Logitech G29 or a thrustmaster T300 it’s what I personally use.
I love my PSVR 2. But all videos out there shows NOT the real image inside the VR. So people can get disapointed. Because the crisp sharpness differ.
I really hope they bring back and add the Brookhaven Experiment. I was lost in that for hours on VR1 but the Move controllers weren’t at best when turning behind for 180 shooting. They would start glitching due to the camera not detecting/seeing the Move controllers because your whole body was in the way. I bet that game would run FLAWLESSY on the VR2…
It's worth pinning that the easiest way to avoid cable drag (it pulling on your head) is to have a small cheap hook on your ceiling to hold the cable. If possible. Maybe worth a comment pin
This thing looks friggin' awesome! but you'll feel better when the games you're waiting for come out on it, there have been firmware updates, maybe some headset skins because white is ugly, etc.. Oh and a discounted price wouldn't hurt either. Other than that, I have no thoughts.

Just needs more good games now to justify the price. We've got RE Village, 7 and 4 coming, hopefully the older RE games will get updates too. Hopefully it'll support 3D Blu rays in time, as I'd like to finally watch Dredd in 3D with HD resolution.
You can also press and hold the options/menu button ([=]) on the controllers, to reposition/realign the screen .

I got the psvr 2 yesterday I got the horizon call of the mountain bundle
Is the static film grain effect on the lens normal? I was expecting full 4k clarity but maybe I'm just too new to VR gaming , I've played Resi8 , No Mans Sky, GT7 , Call of the mountain and Galaxys Edge (trial) , When I'm playing I seem to see these transparent dots everywhere ? Is there a protective film on the lenses I'm supposed to take off? Any help would be very much appreciated sincerely a VR Noob

Had the sane problem last night and i was pist off. Was using psvr1 before and the psvr2 clarity was no different.
Tried on my GFs os5 and there worked flawlessly and was sharp.
And it took me whole night when i figured out what was happening. At the calibration tutorial when it say LOOK AT THE TV, i fid not! It screw up the whole clarity of the picture.
I went through again, this time doing what it tells me and it worked. No more bluri or film grain. But ofc it never wont be as sharp as on the 4ktv.
