Super helpful. It's also gorgeous! Even after using the exacto knife for probably 2 hours, and I was making progress, I still don't have the confidence to break apart the globe. I'm going to the Arlington concert on the 28th and don't want to mess up my only Lightiny! I would definitely cry. Reinforcing the outside with extra glue is a good idea. I ended up ordering a dremel; waiting for it to be delivered.
