How so? Both are fighting battles they can't win against opponents who are not any more sympathetic or worth supporting than they are. Both portrayed themselves as victims and used it as an excuse to attack (Putin just beat Zelensky to the starting line and crushed Z's army of 130K before he could move in). Both are happily leeching off American taxpayer dollars by using illicit leverage that their "intelligence" operative have against US politicians. Both are hijacking our gov't and our money for their own ends to get us to fight their battles for them and both need to be stopped immediately. And yes, if that means we find out about the kiddie prn and whatever other sick things these creeps have been up to, so be it. It's time for the truth to set us all free.
I think people need to educate themselves on the important issues of the day and seek out their news from reputable sources. I always encourage people to ignore the algorithms. Stop allowing yourselves to be lambs led around...seek opposing viewpoints while fact checking their sources. I also have faith in voters who seem to be rejecting candidates who are radical extremists, instead electing more moderate candidates that will strive to work for the good of, if not all, then a majority of their constituents. I think the toppling of Roe v. Wade has been a wake-up call to all American voters that we need to rid our government of extremists who do nothing except polarize Americans and push radical policies. Thank you, Katie Couric and Anne Applebaum, for all you are doing to keep the conversation flowing for all those that choose to listen with an open mind.

Social media reform? I noticed you mentioned everything except how to better educate the American about how the government actually works, how the government is structured, and teach them how to be more analytical when it comes to digesting information.
Stuff like this been around since the depression really in my opinion - its just the dirt under the rug is over flowing - HAAA!
As to why we're seeing a rise in populism and hence authoritarianism it would be important to look hard at the effects on people of neoliberal policies in western democracies. Global labor arbitrage (offshoring), deregulation and the all out assault on Labor empowerment have left people feeling that their governments are no longer "For the People" but are now for the rich people. The Biden administration is the first since before Reagan to address these issues but it will take a long time to undo the damage.
When is the last time a major corporation or military industrial complex disagreed with a democrat?
Biden didnt adress squat. He put a bandaid on a bullet wound and called it all better and we should shut up about it now and vote blue no matter who.
