The "flip-flop brigade" has ruined everything.
Thank you for such a clear, informative video ! I had no idea that Buc-ee’s did not have truck parking or that there was any kind of truck stop parking anywhere. Truckers perform such a valuable service to us. Keeping truckers in prayer🙏
My dad was a trucker from 46-82 ( drove manuals of course ) and the worst thing most of them did was throw those filthy cigarette butts out the window. Food trash was pretty much non existent because diners were all sit down affairs. I blame the proliferation of fast food joints for much of this trash ( although the trash didn’t put itself there ). And of course the culture out there who drives with 3-4 drivers and cuts holes in the truck floor to crap on the highway
You can't be mad at them,I've been trucking for over 30 years and it has turned out some pretty disgusting and nasty drivers, I wouldn't want these wanna be professionals on my property either.
I am a truck driver and .the new style truck driver does not care about the area where they park they piss in bottles and throw garbage on the side of the road .. as a truck driver that been driving for 40 years i do agree with them .. the new age of truck drivers dont care
Not a trucker but I do like the LOVE'S always clean except for Texas that's the only locations that weren't up to the high stander's the northern have. WISH I HAD A BUC-EE'S IN MINNESOTA!!!!!!!
Even the casinos don't want us on a parking lot no more
It would be nice to have more parking...but I can't blame them for not wanting Truckers there. Aside from the weaker concrete used for the lots, you just showed why we are not welcome in many areas. Only been in this game for a little over a year and I've had my fill of the nastiness I see all around the lots.
I can certainly understand why Buc-ees 0:00 doesn’t want a bunch of filthy truck drivers in their lot, leaving shit all over the place. I’ve seen the trash and the P bottles along side on ramps and off ramps and I’m disgusted by people that have this behavior. Makes me embarrassed to be a truck driver even though I never do these things.
When I was driver, I always drove a day cab even for layover trips, so I rarely used a truck stop
Too many shenanigans going on at truck stop for my liking
If a company terminal wasn't convenient, I would fuel up at a TA or eat an Iron Skillet
Sometime finding a motel with truck parking was a PIA especially late at night
Mostly I'd drop my trailer at the terminal and bob-tail to the hotel/motel
Buc-ee's parking lots and surrounding area is very clean. I have yet to visit a truck stop or even a highway rest area that didn't have garbage strewen about and pee bottles in the grass. Hell, I filling up the other day at a Pilot and watch a driver piss between the tractor and trailer while he was fueling up. The door to the building was 20ft away. Why would Buc-ee's what to attract that type of customer?
huber heights oh dont allow trucks in the city limits period
Newsflash: Buc-Ee's general legal counsel has gone on record in court to say Buc-Ee's is a gas station and not a truck stop. The truckers need to stop complaining about them. Buc-Ee's lots are paved and set up for four types of vehicles: Buses, RV's, light trucks like U-Hauls and farmer John's Ford F-150, and passenger cars like Jenny's BMW. They are not paved for big-rigs. Beyond that, have you seen a truck stop lot or the usual shoulders of the road and rest areas where truckers camp out in-between truck stops? Bags of trash, bottles of piss, bags of excrement, broken truck parts, all lying everywhere and that's all generated by the truck drivers. They leave trash lying around as if their parents raised them in barns like farm animals. Leaving a place as they found it is clearly not foremost in their minds. Buc-Ee's doesn't want those headaches, nor do they want to keep paying to repave their lots when big-rigs destroy the pavement.
Buck-eyes truck stop are owned by Indian tribes ( for fact the one Tennessee I know for certain of this one)!!!
They are not truck stops
Buc-ees is owned by Arch Alpin a Texan. They may have franchises run by “ Indians” but if so they would be crappy especially the East Indian variety
Obviously you’re wrong, Bucees is owned by 2 people. The land they built on in Tennessee was owned by a band of Cherokee.
They shouldn't let truckers in. They would park to long, pee in the lot and leave trash. Most truckers are great, the new breed are just rude and nasty
It isn’t a truck stop and they want that to be known. How does a trucker boycott a place they are not allowed to be? While on vacation? I suspect the last thing drivers do on days off is travel on an interstate.
I would assume the Buc ees could pay more for the property to begin with since I would assume their revenue per square foot is higher than a truck stop. Along with that the sales tax revenue would be much higher with the buc ees and they would employ more workers at higher pay than any truck stop ever would. I mean no one wants to pay for truck parking so a truck stop is supposed to purchase the land and pay millions to pave a lot where half the time drivers that live around there will use it for their home parking and reduce the available slots for transient drivers and if they even fuel there the little margin they pay doesn’t remotely equal the profit a buc ees can generate. This whole industry has been crying for years about truck parking and putting the responsibility on providing it on everyone else but themselves. It may eventually go the way it was years ago. Hub and spoke terminal systems just like Saia and the rest of the LTLs do.
I used to think all truck drivers were trained professionals, at least as drivers. But I have seen many errors by truck drivers, distracted by cell phones and the like. There are just so many drivers needed, that many don't have much experience, and some are just second class folks, just like in any other occupation. It's a shame that these folks tarnish the industry, and every driver has to pay, with restrictions on where they can go.
Many ppl bitch about truckers un till they need freight, products, etc, .... then truckers are their best friends.
I've enjoyed a few Buc-ee's in my travels. Closest one to me is about 20+ miles away. I agree with their no trucks methods because it does keep their parking lots more open and as you say, their lot designs aren't setup to handle 80,000+ pounds. What I also think is Buc-ee's and other truck stops are missing a BIG opportunity. Stop blaming truck drivers for something that's dirty/cluttered about a truck stop and put the labor cash into keeping things good/clean, like Buc-ee's does with their stops. I think that would go a LONG way towards improving things for ALL travelers. My point on the subject is the Iowa 80 stop. Room for what? 900 trucks? Ever see cracked/dirty pavement there? It's not there long if you do see it, and they get cold/snow too. Anyways, that's my 2 cents. I agree, more truckstops are needed to ensure that drivers can safely stop overnight and fuel up for the next day. You didn't make me mad at all. LOl Have a good safe day!
I went into a Buc-ees with a set one night because I was hangry and then asked them what they had against big trucks🤣🤣🤣 the guy was like I don't know the reason for that.I said what brings the fuel and all the products you sell here, uh come on you know the answer😝
attitudes like that are the reason truck drivers aren't welcome. why confront a low level employee like that.
@@donjulio4025 Blah blah blah
I like Buc-ee's but the sloppy Joe's from middle school make their $10 brisket sandwiches look like mcdoubles
Actually you know what I hate bucees. Unless I'm going in there at 1am
The number one answer is always money
We need more truck parking thats a fact. im thinking its political

Yes sir I believe we truck drivers need to be a little less nasty and more responsible for the places that we are aloud to park at I just don't understand why drivers are so nasty any more I remember when I first started driving we were respected but the stuff I've seen drivers do these days I am ashamed it is pitiful and they wonder why nobody wants to parking on their lots I mean like you said go look at a truck stop and you'll see guy's they have restrooms inside and trash can are all around I mean come on man
as a driver I'm not for trucks in there, they leave all their garbage on ground not all are clean shower once a week if needed or not.
After you stop parking on the side of ramps you can complain about trucking!
What does that have to do with anything?
@@MarksTruckingLife you complain about trucking while being part of the problem. Plan your day better and park in safer places
@@adidaman1234
I don’t complain about trucking, I talk about trucking issues. The exit ramps. I stop on our plenty safe for the two minutes that I’m gonna be there.
