as someone who has always loved victor for aesthetic alone, i am sincerely grateful for your videos helping me find routes of improvement when i feel my skill starting to plateau. great content, and sick editing!
The most spell-binding, vibey guide I've ever watched. You call him Vic like he's a friend you know a bit about, you don't assume the audience knows their frames at all times, and you give a well-rounded perspective on tools, drawbacks and use cases without being overwhelming. Thank you for your hard work! Looking forward to more.
Hands down the best Victor guide on TH-cam. You explain things and scenarios so well, it’s almost impossible not to improve. This video looks like it took a lot of work to do. I’m here to support you all the way through. Can’t wait for Vol.2
This is the best videogame guide I have ever seen. Hell, it's one of the best educational videos I've ever seen, period. I only came across such passion once or twice before on TH-cam. It's beautifully structured, taking the viewer literally by the hand on a journey to learn what Victor is all about while simultaneously providing us with the tools to think for ourselves about what is presented. It's damn hard to achieve such balance. And let me not even start on how well edited and narrated this is, or I'll end up typing a full on essay lmao. This is an instant favorite of mine. I'll come back to it again and again. So well done, man. You're really good at this. Wishing you lots and lots of views!
When I start working on a video, my goal is to always take the viewer on an experience, and while teaching make sure they know they can play the character different ways. Entertain and teach. Thank you very much for seeing the video as intended and your praise. It's super cool to hear the work hard is paying off. Appreciate your viewership.
As a fan of the Tekken series, I just picked up T8 and got absolutely overwhelmed. Your videos make it all make sense to me. This vid especially is not only educational but also entertaining. Outstanding job!
no clue who u are, but the video got recommended by youtube and im really thankfull for it. awsome content really good and deep information about the character
No lie I main this man and even if u don’t understand the game all to well this is really informative and good. Seriously you should do every character. You would be the best guides out. You do moves versus general gameplay like most people. Absolutely phenomenal. Do more subscribed for sure
Man, that's kino. Great work, really. I'm new to Tekken, and I started playing as Victor. Everything went cool untill tenryu rank. I was beaten so hard that now I am garyu. So I watched your video and learned a lot about this character. Thank you man.
Excellent that the guide helped. Appreciate you watching. Tekken is a journey, there are leaps of improvement, and sometimes you get better bit by bit. Keep playing!
Thank you for the guide! I was thinking about switching main because of the nerfs. But I knew that it was was me not understanding all the moves and mix up with Victor. Def going to study and lab up with this guide. Thank you again
Absolutely incredible video with top tier editing and explanation, 100x better than those dudes who make guides with zero editing and just keep yapping. Many thanks from a new Tekken player.
I only started watching your videos a couple days ago but I'm addicted now. I left my first youtube comment in years over on your first video about Victor and felt compelled to write another one as I'm digesting this one, I'm already looking forward to a Vol 2 of this. Seriously amazing I'm improving so much in Tekken thanks to this, you have no idea!
This is a super awesome comment. I know how crazy hard Tekken can be, so anytime I make anything that helps people out is the coolest thing. Thank you for checking out my videos.
Hello, im a victor player and i took tekken seriouslee with 8, i wanted to thanks you for all of thoses infos who are usefull for me who never tried to learn deep, reached bushin, now it's time to polish my gameplay, thanks you.
I played Tekken 3 and 6, not taking this game too seriously to learn it at first (just for fun match with friends). long story short, Tekken 8 came out (they said it got so many changes compared to the previous series) and I bought it. This time I want to learn how to play the new Characters starting with Victor. I considered myself as a newbie (who just know how to spam button randomly) and this time around I really want to learn how to play and (maybe) master one of the Character. Thank you for your hard work for making this video! Liking and subscribing, looking forward to more great videos from you! Again Thanks man! 👊
As a Victor main I thank you for such a comprehensive breakdown of frames and follow-ups that has helped me understand how to appreciate low-damage attacks for the insane value they bring in plus frames. Hope to apply this knowledge in my games soon.
Cool guide! If I could make a suggestion, I think it'd help a lot to have the move notation in the chapter titles. This is useful for players who prefer to recall moves in terms of their input and generally makes it easier to communicate with players who know what a df1 is but aren't interested in learning 30+ different names for it. Because honestly, I'm not sure I can expect even a Victor main to know what the heck a Selfish Miranda is.
Holy bananas! New Wave drops another video! Was thinking about this channel just the other day. Not sure if you REALLY care, but thanks to your videos I had made it to green rank. I then started to study your defence video and I'm now sniffing on Red rank! I put that down to your awesome vids, so thank you, dude!
So glad you uploaded this, I saw it had been around two months since the last vid and thought the best new tekken channel had died! Keep up the good work!
Yeah I'm still here! It's just the longer videos just take longer to produce, and then Bandai changed the character when I was about 70 done with the video, so that made things harder! Lol. Still here though. Good to hear from you. Thanks.
Dude, you're the best. I don’t understand English well (I just learned it), but that won’t stop me, I will watch your videos over and over again until I understand everything one hundred percent. Your content is great. Thank you for being there and for doing this for us)
Thank you very much for checking out the video. Learning a new language is hard, awesome that you took on the challenge. Whatever way my videos help you is just so cool!
Amazingly detailed video. And I was looking forward to it to release. :) Completed it today after watching in bits for like 4 days or so :) Keep up the good work. I really loved watching it because Victor is my main (switching from AKUMA) as I chose him after watching your videos :) Cheers mate !
Thanks for making this video, your guides are amazing. I know you have a job outside of YT so take your time with your guides man. I always look forward to them !
Thanks for your viewership and thank you for understanding. So many people hit me up just asking about when's the next thing, not understanding what it takes to put these guides together so I really appreciate your understanding. 🙏
Bro genuinely you have probably put out some of the best tekken guides on the platform. Better than most big youtubers. What rank are you also would live to know.
Truly so freakin' cool. I appreciate your support. I hope to so this full time some day, this let's me know I'm on the right track. Thank you so much.🙏
Was checking your video since I started investing more time into victor, I main the bears I,m at tekken king. So when I came to the part where u show the canceling on gringolet I found something really helpfull. I had already like the video but hearing you pronounce IaI (ee·ai) correctly made me subscribe to your channel. As a shodan (1st level black belt) rank in Iaido the attention to detail is truly appreciated. It may sound petty but I couldn't understand how people would make guides about Victor but didn't take the time to at least make sure they say his moves correctly. When I 1st started studying the art, I would mispronounce it constantly and my sensei would be so pissed. I'd have to do 100 extra suburi (unadorned/practice cuts) every time I said it wrong. So I cringe a little bit inside whenever people say it wrong. History lesson aside, I love how you broke down not only the moves and frames but "when" to use them. I've been playing Tekken since #1 in 1994 (yeah I'm old) so a new character is daunting as I don't have any muscle memory to fall back on. My cousin made top 65 in Tekken at this past Evo. I'm trying to go with him next year. This video is going to be the foundation for my Victor play.
Haha. Much appreciated. I recall a show about people trying to become the next big host of a TV gig, and one contestant had to pronounce some foreign guy's name, and he just kept repeating it over and over to make sure. So I think about the moment sometimes. Try to get it right. Your cousin getting 65th is insane! That's impressive with all of those sharks in the water. I'm glad this guide is helping you along. And the old idiom you're only as old as you feel comes to mind, but I guess that depends on which day of the week it is. Haha. Thanks for checking out the vid my friend!
@@NewWaveTEKKEN I had to say Iaido every 10 cuts. He is very detail oriented. I almost don't enjoy the movies and video games that I grew up with because I see so many things wrong. For example, people don't realize all the symbolism in the name of Victor's katana. Or that Yoshimitsu's katana is from the Muramasa folktale. My cousin goes by Aftaburn. @@black9rw Yeah, the developers are good at putting depth within the characters looks. I appreciate that as well. I don't think Vic as been given any new outfits all his own yet, so hopefully that new attire is on its way.
