It's about 19 miles to pedal up to Sand Point and down that trail. It's one that gets ridden so much you don't get that excited but every time you get off the trail you're so stoked. Glad you enjoyed my home trails. Growing up in SC I took for granted how good the trails are here

I was riding the trails near UC Santa Cruz a few years ago, came out of the trees into an open field and there was a mountain lion about 100 meters away. It looked at me and I felt like an afternoon snack. We had a stare-down but I was probably too sweaty to be appetizing. The mountain lion headed off in his/her direction and I cleaned out my boxers. Around Santa Cruz is a really nice area for riding...
I like it a lot! It's more nimble in the tight stuff than I thought it would be and super fast/confident on basically everything. Now I just have to bring my skill level up to the level of the bike! haha
That's good to know! I'm waiting for my 158 evolink frame set and not sure if I should get a refund. I'm afraid it could be overkill for everything but downhill!
Ya that's just a normal flannel shirt. It may look warm out there on camera, but it was actually really cold, especially at the start of the ride. I was wishing for more layers on the first pedal up the hill!
nope, they never dropped into Demo. The first trails are named after pork products and dont exist on maps and the final drop was Westridge which has been officially off limits to bicycles for a long time. Luckily California cant afford to enforce it but you never know when the rangers will be waiting for you. Those fire roads you where loving so much are the only legal surface to ride in Nisene Marks SP.
ALL THE HIKING TRAILS IN THE PARK ABOVE THE STEEL BRIDGE ARE ILLEGAL TO RIDE! STAY OFF!! If you continue to ride them all MTB access to the Park will/can be taken away by the State that includes the Demo trails. It is legal to ride the Fire Road above the steel bridge and all the trails below the steel bridge. Don't ruin what I and others worked so hard for.
