Having listened to many violin and piano accompaniment renditions of this singularly great work of Beethoven I have drawn the conclusion that this violoncello and piano Accompaniment is the superior marriage as the violin though beautiful for which this piece was obviously written does not strike the Harmonious spectral balance for this piece of music. In this format the piano is no longer merely accompanying but partners perfectly to complement the deeply subtle tones of the violoncello which better evokes the sentiment of this piece than violin is capable of doing. I suspect back when this was written The violoncello was not regarded as a focally lead instrument.
    Bravo 👏

Oh I forgot to ask is there any studio recorded version of this piece in this format? Thank you.🙏🏽
