Hello, I'm the composer of the piece (Snake Charmer). GREAT job, students and by Dr. Mayne!!!! I hope you and the audience enjoyed it.

My school’s band just did it! I’m a percussionist and did the maracas for it! It’s a fun song and our band director even said, “the composer did a great job at composing it. You really feel it in the notes and the notes go great.” I LOVED THIS PIECE
Were working on this song right now in 8th grade for the competition. I play clarinet and this is such a fun song. The hardest we have played yet though.

I went to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp this summer and we played this piece, and Zooveniers. They were my fav. two pieces. thank you so much!

The tuba part is hella fun
Played this for honor band last year. I really liked the song. It was fun to play (I play flute) And for one days of practice, I think we did pretty good (We only had one day to learn five songs for the evening concert).

What i would do to go back in time to play this with my band mates again, unfortunately we never got to our concert with this because of covid😔 I was the oboe player and got the solo, I was looking forward to this.. Im so glad I got to hear this:"))

The intonation with the flutes was really amazing! :D The band sounded completely balanced, they sound like a highschool band! :D

***** IKR! especially at the parts at 3:40 and 5:25 where it`s loud then goes quiet for the solo.I always love hearing the timpani at that part too.Also 3:12 and 4:36.I take that as a shining moment for the trombones.

Im in 9th grade and we are just learning about this song and I have a test on it right now. I also play flute and I can´t even seem to get the notes right even tho I´m listening to the flutes right now.

Whooooo dem tubas tho :-) Thats my part. But the way the sound is here they sound a lot different and way deep. Edit: Aaaaah that's why. They have a bassoon. Wish we had one a those mean things :-)
