Beautiful hommage for the awesome Dolores and the great Cranberries and their fight for liberty, respect and the freedom to do what you want. A song, more relevant than ever.
Dolores would be very proud that she was honored so profoundly... From one of her zillions of fans, this song still wrecks me every time I hear it...🇮🇪 😪
Anyone else notice that out of all the tributes to this song, the bagpipes are the closest you can get to that edge that Delores had to her voice? Listen to them side by side, no wonder that woman was an Irish icon.
Absolutely fully agreed. One of the best anthems of all time. Tears to my eyes indeed. To be a musician myself (drums) one get's to appreciate things like this! Regards, Wayne from Cape Town South Africa
@Scorer Scored *blushes* instruments were built to enhance the human emotion. To add a sense of depth to our words, to bring everyone who could hear closer together. Or so i believe.
@Zubay Y. I’m a Midwestern, lower class American, and I’ve never and sad probably will never hear a bag pipe in real life. But from what I’ve heard from the internet and tv. They’re just loud bags of spit and air. But this video has made me curious enough to give them another chance.
When I went to high school, music was a required subject. I was given a choice choir or band class. Any instrument. I picked the bag pipes because I figured I would never get it. Mr Reynolds got a set for me. The first two years were painful for everyone. Then I learned you could play Deep Purples songs on them. Was never very good but was invited to every foot ball game and all the cheer leader parties as long as I brought my pipes. Cops show up and ask that the music be turned down out came my pipes. Was a hit in college for the same reason. Last year I was at the legion waiting for a union meeting to start. There was a student bag pipe band trying to practice. A few of the younger players did not like having to play the Black Bear or Scotland the Brave. Being a smart ass I suggested something more resent. My choice was “Zombie” now I am no where near your league. However I did get out the first bit. When I handed the pipes back there was stunned silence from the band master. The next month the band was working on their version. Even the drummers were standing around working on their part. Last October I took my IPad along and showed them your stuff. In December I had the chance to see them play again. You have had a great affect on them. The girls in the band love your Irish / Indian / Pakistanis Dance number and the one where you place the desert enchantress. All I know is that the band master says that they are now gaining members instead of loosing them.
I have never been moved by a tribute song like I was moved by this cover of Zombie. Dolores O'riordan was and always will be my favorite singer and songwriter. This tribute is both haunting and inspiring and reached deep into a spot in my soul where i keep my emotions and overwhelmed me. Thank you for this gift to the memory of Dolores O'riordan.
Back in my engineering days from 2007-11, Zombies used to be the most frequently played song in my dorm. The song was an indispensable part of our hostel lives. The news of her passing was heartbreaking. May she live forever through her amazing body of work. RIP Dolores.
I am obsessed with this cover the snake charmer definitely made history with this.. definitely did the cranberries justice. Cant stop listening to it.llove from America ☯️
See a lot of people tell me bagpipes are terrible instruments, well hearing this makes me realize it's not the instrument, but the player. Always keep doing this
I just heard the song Zombie recently and had no idea the singer passed away. I had no emotional attachment to the song or the singer, but your rendition really made me feel the pain over her passing. It hit me hard in the feels. It was truly heartfelt and beautiful.
This has to be the best cover I’ve heard since Bad Wolves. The song sounds so natural on pipes 👍 I love the tribute you added to it about Dolores that was a nice touch.
What a beautiful cover. Dolores O' Riordan would probably be proud and honored by listening to such a great version of this amazing and unforgetable song. Thank you ! 🌟🎍
I cried while listening to this. Thank you so much. The meaning behind the actual song was always so soul stirring and you captured that rapture just the way it was meant to be.
@@andychauhan6544 it's a song about the horrors of the Troubles in Ireland. If you watch the original music video you will see it. The song also reference the 1916 rising in Ireland against British rule
What an Amazing Tribute...It left me in Tears.. I Know Delores, would be so Proud and smiling for this....Thank you so Much....We Love you Snake Charmer.....
I love your art...such a beautiful way of expression.....God bless you !!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am and in many ways, always going to be in love with Delores O'riordan. Her voice was that of an Angel and when she sang it made me feel a little less alone a little less depressed, just better in so m, many ways. I was able to overcome my battle with bipolar disorder largely in part to Delores and the cranberries music. when I was at my lowest the cranberries music literally saved me ibn so many ways. My only regret is that I'll never get to tell Delores or the band, but I know where ever she is she knows. thanks for doing this snake.
I think Miss O’Riordan would be proud to see such a talented young artist adapting this beautiful song, keeping the magic of the melody without adding abusive ornaments that would contradict the spirit of the song. Thank you for your music !!!
I miss her although don't listen to the Cranberries much anymore. They are still one of my favorite bands. I grew up on them. This is a great tribute to her.
Ich muss neidlos anerkennen, dass dieses Cover echt gut ist. Mein Respekt. Ich schaue mir dieses Video immer wieder an und jedes Mal kommen mir die Tränen.
This is why am proud to be from Scotland the bagpipes we hear all the time when we go to glasgow but this just beautiful made me cry how beautiful this was

Brilliant way to tribute Cranberries and Dolores first of all. Irish bagpipes and superb band backing you, just lovely. Definitely one for my playlists!!!
Bag pipes are like the voices of angles singing. I have some Scottish blood in my family. Everytime I hear them. My heart beats faster and I feel peace from the songs. Keep up the good work TheSnakecharmer.
Makes my heart melt calls all the pain. For a sound of war yes but back in the day they made it cry coming in. You know why we fight right call it she's good at it
Oi. Not sure if thou commented before but..as someone with Ireland flowing through their veins and growing up on Dolores' voice...simply......Thank You. 🇮🇪💚
Bloodywood brought me to your channel and I'm just blown away!! Zombies is such an amazing song and your cover is a brilliant tribute to a masterpeice!!🤘
This is hands down one of my favorite songs. But snakecharmer whom I've been following her music for years now has taken this classic song and truly turn it into a masterpiece worthy of the hall of fame. Very rarely do you ever hear a piece of music on radio that is so moving and amazing and stands the test of time, and snakecharmer kills it with an outstanding performance. Thank you for the ear-gasm..lol
The pipes give it this really kinda sad solemn feel that just..... fits. The Bad Wolves cover is great but this one just kinda touches it in a way that conveys the feel of loss in the song.
This is, IMHO, a better sounding version than the original. And it may sound mean, but it's not intended as such, but the bag pipes elicit thre exact image if the lead singers voice in the original version. Absolutely beautiful.
Perhaps not better so much as a format that speaks more clearly to you and your personal style. I feel the same way about some covers; the original is it’s own piece of art, but perhaps a cover artist puts a slight tweak to it that clarifies a point, or hits a chord the original didn’t and resonates with me.
R.I.P. Dolores! Bring tears to your eyes! I grew up listening to this a long time ago, I was born March 1978! Have heard a lot, but this is one that brings back a lot of memories for me! Bagpipes are such a beautiful instrument that I feel speaks to everyone in one form or fashion .
Perfectly said. Dolores' voice was one of a kind.
You know you've got a good point, I hadn't noticed that

This proves that all instruments are beautiful, If played correctly, confidently and with the right song.

Aye, and not just the Irish.
Bagpipes resonate deep. Not only for my Scottish heritage but also the Military Police. Every time I hear Amazing Grace on bagpipes I tear up.

Awesome song and a fantastic cover that does it credit. Rest easy Dolores, you left your mark on the music industry.
