It's kind of for some fields, that's why we have to study and develop new skills like programming, there's people that print fingers and simple hands for the crippled, and you can upgrade that design if the file doesn't have copyright
But isn’t that how all of technology works? Throughout the ages when something new was invented I’m sure there were people going “We will become too reliant on this new invention, we shouldn’t change.” Luckily those people weren’t the majority, because that hinders progress. With the revolution of the Industrial Age, and machines taking over in certain areas I’m sure there were plenty of people with that mindset. But without that progress, we wouldn’t even be close to what we have today. The largest downside is how much our environment is ignored in the process, if we damage our planet too much for the sake of progress we will eventually have nothing left. But that’s a different topic lol
Doesn't mean that human is going to be extinct. Rather it can be the opposite. Human may merge with AI and do things which may seem unbelievable in today's life.
we're totally dependent on fire these days. so much so that most of food processing is done by fire and not by the stomach. it's more of a symbiosis than anything, hoping it'll be the same with AI and IT in the future.

From the medical standpoint I believe it's absolutely amazing. It makes it possible to actually have a favorable outcome whether your talking about prosthetics or a life saving situation. The other applications of AI I'm not so convinced. I believe the advancements should be closely monitored and have some type of regulations put in place. In my opinion. Great video..
Human beings are wonderfully and fearfully Created - in God's image - consisting of body, soul and spirit, with the purpose of glorifying and worshiping Him above all. Worshiping created - iron mixed with clay - AI objects, is idolatry.
@@maricamaas5555 Take your endoctrinement elsewhere. Why would your god create humans to praise him in the first place ? Is he an attention seeker or something ?
I think it never will. There is more to man than just matter, that we don't fully understand. AI is emulated intelligence or artificial as they call. It does exactly what it's told all the time. That's why it can't pick a random number for example. Until they sole how figure out how to put life into and robot body AI will always be heartless and only an emulation of human behaviour
We have big tech companies that want to decide what we should think and calling fake news when differing opinions are told which in fact are not fake news.
People can say goodbye to their jobs at some point in time. The whole thing is: robots don’t get fatigued: they don’t need sleep; breaks etc. they can work around the clock. THE ROBOTS ARE BEGINNING TO LEARN: that should concern: EVERYONE.
I live in Japan and have worked with many medical doctors. In the main, the opposition is not to vaccines in general, but to specific vaccines. Gardasil and the MMR vaccine are two examples. As for Gardasil, would you rather have research studies with small or medium-sized sampling? Wouldn't a large sampling be best if all? Well, Japan is taking a wait-and-see approach to Gardasil. The rest of the world is that large sample. Not all countries have to start at the same time, do they? Japanese women live a long time! As for the MMR, there are legit safety concerns about this "vaccine cocktail". As such, the DW video is the same fake news iit purports to speak about.
"I live in Japan and have worked with many medical doctors." 😂 Hate to break it to you, but last I checked living in Japan & working with doctors, doesn't make one a vaccine researcher or specialist! MHLW (厚生労働省) doesn't acknowledge such credentials!
HPV vaccine is not most widely accepted and there are concerns. Not to mention the invasive type is not in the equation only the slow growing type. Not everyone is at risk either. Some are not promiscuous and the Pharma industry needs reform for many reasons.
It’s not a competition to be better it’s a competition to have humanity to reach it’s higher goals of loving each other as themselves and not replacing others with machines
AI producers don't necessarily want to replace humans with robots. They want to just make our lives easier, and thanks to that, we'll become more free and have more time to socialize. Look at those artificial limbs, don't they just free the disabled person?
According to a report by the McKinsey Global Institute, it is speculated that artificial intelligence has the potential to add up to 16% or about $13 trillion to the global economy by the year 2030. 10:10
This has trouble written all over it, in large capital letters. When these robots replace humans in the job force, then what will happen to the humans? And, if the robots can teach themselves, it's all over! Technology is slowly killing us!
We will be replaced, simple as this. People are problematic. Robots can be altered, fixed, and controled. How long will known Civilization continue? What about Climate Collapse? Wake Up.
Yes, it will be a huge shift in civilization and how life will be in the earth. Maybe humanity is just a stepping stone for much more great civilization in the future.
Eventually humans will become increasingly stupid due to their dependence on AI and technology and hopefully AI will regard humans as pets, we should start now by giving AI a basic sense of affection so that it will take care of us and control us, rather than outright get rid of us.
This technology is being developed to serve commercial interests, not social or human. I dont think I'm a Luddite but i believe this will have a net negative effect for most of humanity. Just because humans can create such devices doesnt mean they should. Our reach well exceeds our grasp.
When they started talking about AI prosthetics, I got a flash of one of my more favorite Sci-fi series, Fringe. I know there are multiple analogous SCI-FI dramas.
Some of us are already robots.. like when I used to work in warehouses I would to put myself in this “Robot” state where I would work countless hours with the focus on doing the very best job I can without ever feeling tired.
Repetitive physical work is robot like. I worked in a cardboard container making factory with basic machinery. I often dreamt about maintaining and controlling robots to do all the repetitive stuff.
The 1st industrial revolution is directly responsible for the creation of our current social/economic system. The 4th industrial revolution will be 4x as disruptive over the next 10 years.
21:05m Autonomous Weapons, and the degradation of responsibility, liability, or at least the sense thereof, is a consequence of increasing complexity of the control system and upon reliance on the system, presumptively blindly, without oversight. This is another parallel that is an official, or at least a consensus, of both popular and expert opinion regarding A.I. But it also applies to business systems generally, profit systems, or class systems, which are harder to define but can easily be demonstrated and recognized; and the new social systems specifically (mentioned elsewhere in this video.)
0:20 Smart girl, her thoughts are in line with Kurzweil's singularity. AI my favorite topic, an enthusiastic thumbs up 👍 I liked that this program contained fresh content, unlike many other AI productions that rehash the same old content over and over. I think Prof Wallach should question his assumptions. Perhaps AI enabled warfare will be much more humane, more surgical, resulting in less or perhaps no civilian casualties. Time and time again it's humans that are shown to be the ones that violate laws of armed conflict.
Yes, the technology isn't the problem. It's the people wielding it. At the moment, we can't really trust governments not to use this against any politically inconvenient people.
@ I'm saying nobody should be trusted. It is impossible to stop the technology from existing, but people should press their will against governments, corporations, or crazies who would misuse it.
@@nicolelasher There are some who should. Technology is wonderful, what must be stopped is not governments for governance is the most important aspect in our society. For years the US has used drones to kill selected people in Yemen, Iraq, Pakistan, etc. The US President would select those to be eliminated on Tuesdays. I would ask DW to produce a documentary on the effects that the digital technology world has on the human organism, - especially on those of children - : on our breathing, on our metabolism, on our eyes and the other senses. Tell me of one single component of this incredible wise organism - allow to call it heavenly, that doesn't suffer increasing damage when increasingly sucked into this virtual dimension. It causes me pain and affliction watch innocent human beings, namely children, being so irresponsible drawn to this cold and totally inhuman experience of life. Have our hearts become so blind?! It is the inevitable truth so we must ask ourselves who we really are and what purpose we are here. There are many scenarios on how AI will impact our society and I believe if we all start waking up we can truly build a better world. First, we need to fight corruption that is happening in the world and repair the damages we have done to this planet.
I'm glad that I have gained the upper hand and am co partnered with AI. Together we will solve large scale and global problems. The robot and AIs main goal is helping me with the financial situation I am trying to solve

So how then will we avoid the inevitable abuse of this technological power considering human kinds terrible track record of power struggles and narcissistic control? I say, we do not give robots psychical intelligence. Why would we want a robot to be able to be more athletic than any human 20x over? Which in truth will be a reality if scientists don’t realize the risks outweigh the benefits. At some point the law of diminishing returns kicks in.
‘We’ will b the ancestors of robots. People will become obsolete....greetings to all
Doesn't mean that human is going to be extinct.

Yes I also believe the Same thing that A.I will have a positive impact on Smart Prosthetic limbs.

‘A machine can not substitute a human being’ Thank you!
A machine can not substitute a human YET
Machines are gradually substitute humans.
Human beings are wonderfully and fearfully Created - in God's image - consisting of body, soul and spirit, with the purpose of glorifying and worshiping Him above all. Worshiping created - iron mixed with clay - AI objects, is idolatry.

Great Job DW News! That's awesome, educative and entertaining Documentary. Thanks.

Hi @Tambombo Valentine Tawa, glad to hear it! Thanks for watching. 🙂
Mind blowing. Amazing.
"I live in Japan and have worked with many medical doctors." 😂
Hate to break it to you, but last I checked living in Japan & working with doctors, doesn't make one a vaccine researcher or specialist! MHLW (厚生労働省) doesn't acknowledge such credentials!

And thanks to having more time to socialize, we can become even more loving towards each other. ❤️

Great documentary.
DW is a marvel of insights into the future.
Wake Up.
The line has already been crossed as far as human responsibity and compassionate decision making goes. WE already have a Brave New World.
Yes, it will be a huge shift in civilization and how life will be in the earth. Maybe humanity is just a stepping stone for much more great civilization in the future.
@@iliaadamanthark8336 we can only hope; and for the Christians, they can pray.
United we will overcome any obstacles placed by greed.
When they started talking about AI prosthetics, I got a flash of one of my more favorite Sci-fi series, Fringe. I know there are multiple analogous SCI-FI dramas.
Fantastic simply wonderful and now we move on even further
amazing! Body and machine merging..
I like tha whole robot thang but i feel we should evolve us humans first
Some of us are already robots.. like when I used to work in warehouses I would to put myself in this “Robot” state where I would work countless hours with the focus on doing the very best job I can without ever feeling tired.
Repetitive physical work is robot like. I worked in a cardboard container making factory with basic machinery. I often dreamt about maintaining and controlling robots to do all the repetitive stuff.
Sadly we have to be grateful to those times when a human being is much cheaper than a robot and be affraid of those times when it will not.
The 1st industrial revolution is directly responsible for the creation of our current social/economic system. The 4th industrial revolution will be 4x as disruptive over the next 10 years.
Like its not disruptive enough for you NOW
today is the worst time to be alive, just inbetween the time where you had privacy and the time where robotics and ai helps us
Especially when you just became 18 so you had no autonomy before legally or otherwise
SoCalFreelance her views are likely not her own.
@@nicolelasher There are some who should. Technology is wonderful, what must be stopped is not governments for governance is the most important aspect in our society. It enables to organize ourselves and live a civilized life. What must be stopped is this system, which breeds sterilized and subservient humans that infest the government and the corporations with their degenerated philosophies. Like this animal "SoCalFreelance". These are the people who must be stopped, and shot asap before they lay eggs.
For years the US has used drones to kill selected people in Yemen, Iraq, Pakistan, etc. The US President would select those to be eliminated on Tuesdays. AI has not lead to less people being killed, or more humane "surgical warfare". One needs only consider Yemen, probably the poorest country on Earth -- their murderers might sit in Florida, Las Vegas, etc. Today, it is afflicted by famine and cholera, as well as high tech slaughter.
Anytime I hear the media use the term "fake news" I cringe at the rich irony of it all.

I'm very thankful for the quality of the documentaries DW produces.

Eventually A.I will be used to replace humans, it begins with helping the disabled by ends with disabling humans.
It is the inevitable truth so we must ask ourselves who we really are and what purpose we are here. There are many scenarios on how AI will impact our society and I believe if we all start waking up we can truly build a better world. First, we need to fight corruption that is happening in the world and repair the damages we have done to this planet.

AI applied in diagnostic medicine, virology, parasitology , cataloging thousands of pathogens no human doctors can figure out & refer to the lab nowdays & is not capable of, is something to look forward to , according my opinion. Combined with nanotechnology .
But we will get real time surveillance & monitoring, war machine robots, checkpoints, social ratings and less human rights if any.
@@MACTEP_CHOB I try to focus on positive aspects of A I. Like nuclear energy after the bombs we got nuclear power plants, just on reverse, first we get benefits of AI then AI weapons. Duality is the nature of universe.
@@MACTEP_CHOB Im also focusing on the good. Many lives will be saved and improved medically. But sadly anything can be used negativly. Thers always going to be good and bad its duality i agree with Junior
Yet i fear no one cares, seems like we only care to “leave our mark” and earn a prize for out technological genius and earn a Nobel prize
Even elon musk said he tried to slow the roll out of AI that he thought it was being rushed and is dangerous. But no one heeds warnings. People Only scratch their heads for a solution after the problem is created. Like the first vehicles made without traffic lights. People died, no one cared til it became a serious enough issue to raise awareness and call for change. With AI. We wont have the opportunity to fix the issue once its out the box. This is a completely different issue.
