Love watching your solo game play throughs. You explain the rules so well and its like I am playing the game with you as you mull over options. Excellent! Just preordered the Expansion for this and would love to see you do another play through with the expansion.
Very attractive artwork. From the board itself to that first temple...very pretty. I do get the exploration vibe from this which is nice, and I like the iconography...but, maybe I need to watch another round or two, but I'm not sure I like their tie-breaker mechanic, especially flipping the deck over to look for an arrow if the deck is exhausted. Looking forward to next round.
I agree the tie-breaker mechanic isn't good. It doesn't make sense, better select it by shuffling cards/assistants and picking one randomly/flipping a coin to pick a path on the research side.

Another great video on how to play, the Box of Delights is the best on the internet. I found other videos to be confusing. Great Job!
my pleasure! Hope you enjoy playing the game. R.R.
Really looking forward to getting this game. It looks right up my alley! Thanks for the play through, Ricky.
Glad I’m finally seeing how the solo plays,.. I’m really interested
Glad to see this plays a lot like the multiplayer. This is now high on my list. Thanks!
That's a lot of game! Seems like it evokes a nice sense of exploration and adventure so far.
CGE, underestimating the size of tables for 13 years and counting
sorry to be pedantic but don't you mean they are overestimating everyone's table size 😇
@@chrisridley4840 ... Beat me to it... :-).
Or underestimating the board size :)
@@chrisridley4840 Thanks for teaching me a new word, and boy do I know a few of these types.
Thanks, Ricky - definitely intrigued by this one! Hope you keep going :-)
thanks Markus! Yes, next episode coming this week.... It's a good one :)
Great play through, having played 3 player I wanted to see how it plays solo and it looks awesome.

Thx Ricky for the Preview of the Game... hope to see the Round 2 soon :) Greetz from Germany
coming soon ! other things interrupted play
Looks so great, no idea where I can play it on. But it looks great!
its a great game, tons of options, good rules and perfect game length.
Does it come with an additional table? LoL... seriously though, it looks like a cool game Ricky... Thanx for showing.
Board looks amazing but my table is crying
I'm confused, at 25:53, when rival researches, isn't he supposed to remove the research bonus tile? Or just when his action is the actual research?
I missed it.. but I fix it during the start of PART 2 ! Enjoy the rest of the series... R.R.
oh c'mon, don't be weaklings. The table presence is not bad at all.
That copy looks familiar :)
Hey Paul, we were just talking about that!
Interesting looking game but that board is ridiculously large.
Don't ever play world in flames 😉
They really need to fix their 3D printer settings. These meeples look awful :D . Aside from this the prototype looks great.
Hard pass for me.
