The more these great leaders of the Spiritual Faith (Buechner, Yancey, Peterson) get closer to God and immerse themselves in His Grace, the less they claim they actually know and the more further they discover that they have to still travel in the Journey to God's Kingdom. It gives a struggling wretch like me great courage. I don't really need to understand or know it all - I just have to pick myself up and shake off the grime, and keep heading in the direction where I can still find His voice and hear and read those gentle whispers! I just love this man. He has a way of putting things into words that is truly transcendent. His books are some of my greatest treasures.
