  • Troubleshooting for Signal Loss Problem of Transmitters /Episode 1 Receiver Antenna Installment
Take RC8X and R8FG receiver as an example.
Here are some suggestions when installing the antenna receiver.
1.The two antennas of the receiver CANNOT overlap or fit together. It is best to keep two antennas 90°angles apart from each other. If there is only one antenna tube in your car, do NOT put two antennas in one antenna tube.
2.Please place the two antennas vertically upward. They need to come out. The antennas cannot be placed along the car body, or close to the ground, especially when there are metal parts in the car.
Here are two car models. I’ll use them to show the the antenna placement of R8FG and R4FGM receiver.
1.Install R8FG on the car. Since R8FG cannot go in the box, I use a double-sided sticker to fix it here. There are support rods on the car. Fix the two antennas on the supporting rods separately with the plastic straps and make the two antennas vertically upward. Bend the other antenna outward so that the two antennas are at an some angles apart.
2.Install R4FGM on this mini car. I use a double-sided sticker to fix the receiver here, and fix the antenna on the rod with a strap to make the antenna vertically upward. By the way, we have found there are metal parts on this mini car, so when installing the receiver, make sure the antenna is apart from the metal parts. Because the metal parts will affect the signal transmission.
    Pay attention:
1.Please test RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) before operating models. You can check the detailed tutorial on how to test RSSI in the description of the video.
2.Please check the receiver antenna and transmitter antenna before operating models. The gray line on receiver is coaxial cable, while the transparent line with a length of about 3 centimeters at the top is antenna. If the transparent line is broken or damaged, it will directly affect the control distance. If any abnormality is found, please replace the receiver antenna in time.
For example, we can see the antennas of this R8FG is in good condition, but the antenna of the other R8FG is damaged. For the receiver with damaged antenna, the RSSI is abnormal, and the control range is short.
Other Suggestions for Receiver Antenna Installment
1.Big models may contain metal parts that influence signal emission. In this case. antennas should be positioned at both sides of the model to ensure the best signal status in all circumstances.
2.Antennas should be kept away from metal conductor and carbon fiber at least half inch away and no over bending.
3.Keep antennas away from motor, ESC or other possible interference sources.
4.Sponge or foam material is advised to use to prevent vibration when installing receiver.
5.Receiver contains some electronic components of high-precision. Be careful to avoid strong vibration and high temperature.
6.Special vibration-proof material for R/C like foam or rubber cloth is used to pack to protect receiver. Keeping the receiver in a well sealed plastic bag can avoid humidity and dust, which would possibly make the receiver out of control.
In the next episode, we’ll continue to introduce the troubleshooting for signal loss.

doesn't help anything, still have issues. Using R8FG V2.0 and RC8X running FHSS V2 mostly, tried V1 and same issue. Tested and troubleshooted for multiple hours. If your having problems, its a firmware issue or something wrong internally. Ditch RL and go with something else like Futaba or FlySky. Not to mention I race, 1/10th 4wd buggy. I have almost no space to fit that big bulky receiver as the receiver wires are very very close to getting torn up by the spur gear. Antenna placement does NOT matter. I wrapped up and taped antennas to receiver cases. Not to mention brands like Futaba and FlySky have no problems and have antenna less receivers while radiolink is running stuff from like 20 years ago.

Doesn’t do any good, since the issue is the transmitter.

Не помогает, потеря сигнала на 50-60 метрах . Пробовал на 2-х приемниках. Ужасное качество разочарован что купил ваш пульт.

Dear Sir, Sorry for the problem. 1. Could you please test RSSI? You can use new receivers to test RSSI, which can help to confirm if the problem comes from the receiver or transmitter. Here is RSSI testing tutorial for your reference:

      2. If the signal loss problem happens when you move the throttle or wheel of RC8X, it is possible that the problem is caused by insufficient BEC power supply. Here is the link for your reference:

      3. May I know how you install your receiver antenna in your car? There is also some requirements for the receiver antenna installment. Here is the guide of receiver antenna installment for your reference:
